So ,you think bajaj crap, it won't live beyond 5 years. .? Guess what I'll extract much more in that period than you would from your gixxey in 10 years.
Vibes aahh. .? Hmm , why don't you buy a activa. .? Superb comfort ,no vibes and hey ,it feels same like a fz, just gears missing.
And seriously even a cycle will corner well than ns. Still if you feel these gixxeys and fzs can corner well than meet me at any curvature and we'll see who comes out the fast and furious way.

The dealer in Gurgaon (GSM Bajaj) quoting 102500 INR including following,
        1. Bike plus all the paperwork done by the agency
        2. One helmet, seat cover, sporty looking small front leg guard, small saree guard
        3. One year insurance included

Can you please help me with following,
        1. How much bargain is possible while buying a bike?
        2. What are the other accessories I should be looking for?
        3. Can I change the present eurogrip tires with better one while buying itself?
        4. Any other inspection point while collecting the bike. Dealer saying that bike will be manufactured in 2015.

If above mentioned points are explained elsewhere then kindly point me to the same. Thanks a ton.
        1. It's the standard. They're not doing any favour on you.
        2. Helmet ,leg guard, Saree cover are necessary, they're not providing it for free to you.
        3. Insurance is also mandatory, again they're NIT doing anything for you.
        Don't buy 200ns, add some 15 k more and get RS200.

Bro think twice before going to purchase ns because the pulsar 200rs is also worth extra 15-20k more.

I'm in Chennai and you are right, Coastal area. Though I feel bike is planted on roads (Stock MRF) but I, myself felt floating (even though Im heavier about 92Kgs )because of the air resistance. I think the new RS-200 model can solve this problem to some extend, bcoz of full fairing.

Helmet + seat covers, Mmmm....Dude, you already are getting a good deal. I got neither of them and still was charged the same in Khivraj, Chennai
Plus 2.0% credit Card service charge. I checked with other dealers as well, some were charging 1.8\2.0% and no one was giving for 0% when using card.

hi there, got my bike on 09/03 from Krishna Bajaj Gurgaon (Sector 14) only. They charged me 102500/- which is the official price which includes 1 yr insurance + RC of vehicle.
You'll be needing center stand for sure, when I bought my bike it wasn't in stock but probably by now it will be available.
They give Teflon coating for free without asking.
Helmet they provide is of "TARGET" company , I don't belive if it is even ISI marked is very cheap in quality as well as in looks, please avoid it, you can get a better helmet from market. I own Studds Scorpion
Go for a pre-ride before you pay them the hard cash/ billing.
I'll PM you my contact no. if you need any other inputs too.

All the best for your upcoming bike

Yes, you are right. I'm waiting for RS200 launch... Post some time after launch, we might get an after market fix for 200ns fairing. Though I prefer the naked look

Guys, what is the ideal Idling rpm for the NS?
It is 1500 after starting and goes up to around 2k after riding.

Keep it at 1200 to 1300 while on starting then only it goes to 1500 at engine heated conditiom
                        1500 is just right

                              Thanks everyone for tips.

I did book the 200NS yesterday. Dealer agreed to put teflon coat (thanks siezes.s) but couldnt convince him for center stand. Also, the available bike was with eurogrip tires. After some discussion, dealer agreed to change it to MRF while delivery. I told him that I will not pick the bike without MRF's. Lets see if he keep his word.

I do have couple of questions,
                              1. one bike on display had the key in so I tried to start it but seems like battery was nearly dead. Dealer said this because of long time sitting of bike in showroom and it will be alright once you push the bike for 15-20 ft. I heard that these are maintenance free batteries with no recharge required. Specially with no kickstart, I am little bit scared on this point. Can someone tell me if its normal?

                              2. I have a~600 km roundtrip planned from 3 April. I have only 1-2 week for run in period. What are the minimum things that I should do before the trip?

Thanks a ton for the help.

Pulsar RS200 seems to be very exciting but I am not much in to bike with fairing. I dont see difference between carb and FI is a reason to decide on a bike. ABS will be a huge boon for sure but I am willing to let it go for fairing. Thanks for the suggestion though.

By the way, I'd been warned by the dealer that letting the ignition key to on will soon discharge battery. Also he did mention that if planning to let the bike for a more than a week long, he advised me to remove the battery connectors. But don't you worry too much. Enjoy the bike, by the way follow the run-in properly. Prior to your 600km trip, complete atleast your first service.

Dont ever accept for Euro, I was so adamant on that to the dealer. They tried to convince me....at the time of delivery..
RS200 is exciting, but it will take some time to get stable, so that Bajaj can fix any such issues. Maybe by 2016, we can get a stable model.. This happened with NS200 as well...

                                Exactly you are right.
                                1. Start your bike (Morning, before you start the day, is good time)
                                2. Find the idling screw and adjust to set your idle speed to ~1250-1350 rpm.
                                3. Now, let the engine run for 2-3 mins.
                                4. Observe the rpm value. It shud be ~1400rpm (+/-50)

After this, start your ride, say ~30mins, check your idling rpm. In this case, it should not go beyond 1600rpm
One should press the button start for ~1sec but not more than 3/4 secs continuously. If it doesn't start wait for few seconds and try pressing for 1 sec ~

Important note here is "Don't attempt to press the autostart repeatedly. Give some breathing time...
                                Thats it

Congrats and all the best. First importantly drive with sane speed and wear helmet with strap locked..!!!
While the PDI is so huge, the dealer usually might say the same "Sir, the bike has already been checked for all these PDI (Available on web) before it hit our showroom). Well, we got to believe it

                                1. Dont accept if bike comes with Euro Tyres
                                2. Try to pick your bike immediately after paying cash
                                3. Dont let dealer to get the registration. You better travel to the RTO center and get the registration with dealer known broker or agents
                                4. Ask them to fill some fuel atleast >1litre

For Run-in, check older threads. Simply put, if you want to be so stringent in conditioning your bike, follow what manual says. Bajaj's recommended approach is not easy(Speed limit for each gear), but will fine tune...you may get a knocking sound esp at 5th and 6th. Just increase your throttle a bit...But on practice, you can do it.

                                Otherwise, simply try not to go beyond 3.5k rpm(6th gear - ~50kmph) till 1000 and 4.5k rpm (6th gear - ~65kmph)till 2000
