Hi I am new to this forum, I will soon get my pulsar 200 ns most probably this week, that's what the sales guy said. 3 of my friends have the 200ns, a blue one brought on mid 2012 and two yellow ones(2013). The yellow ones are really vibey. Hope mine doesn't come with bad vibrations. If vibrations are there can it be rectified? And I also want to know if the Indonesian version's stickers are available in india or online. Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad posting skills.

This is a known issue with the yellow NS. All yellow NS`s vibrate more than the blue, red or black ones.Originally posted by Arun Hearts View PostHi I am new to this forum, I will soon get my pulsar 200 ns most probably this week, that's what the sales guy said. 3 of my friends have the 200ns, a blue one brought on mid 2012 and two yellow ones(2013). Just kidding :P :P The is a bajaj made bike, not a yamaha or honda. You will have to learn to live with vibrations and chain noiseWe are so busy watching out for what\'s just ahead of us, that we don\'t take time to enjoy where we are ~ Bill Watterson

Re: Pulsar 200 NS acceleration issue
I am getting a red one soon, I have paid in full and the sales guy at pioneer bajaj trivandrum told me I will get my bike this week. Should I apply teflon coating? Is it good for the bike? And I saw a guy with red ns in trivandrum having a headlight grill, can I get it from bajaj svc? And what all other accessories are recomended like stickers, tankpads?Wake up, Ride, Eat, Ride, Sleep, REPEAT.....

Diamond vision is better than stock bulb!!Originally posted by sunilyo View PostMy replies in bold above
Throw and brightness is better even though the points for low amd high beam are same as stock ones :P Even though its 60/55 w bulb it slightly drains more battery than stock bulb only make sure to have engine running while using headlight!! you have to buy it in pairs(i had too) costs 1200 rs!! U can fit it by yourself its really easy!!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS regular maintenance
A new air filter, new spark plugs, new batch of motul 7100, new oil filter and a perfectly tightened and lubed chain is simply the best formula for a smooth and exhilarating ride. Loving every moment on my 15k kms old beauty.

Pulsar 200 NS : My 1st
Hi All,
I'm new to this forum & also to biking in general. Buying P200ns this week, my first bike at young age of 30
Well..better late than never!
I'm posting in Ownership thread rather than What Bike section, as I've already booked this bike....Kindly request you to bear with this long post & my queries..
PRELUDE:
The search, want & need of a bike dates back to 3-4 years, but couldn't bcos I was not confident of my riding abilities! Recently I decided to end the wait & enquired about eternal favorite Bullet. But I couldn't wait for nearly a year waiting period for CL350, TB350, so thats the end of Bullet.
Then only other bike I liked was Honda Trigger. Eventhough I had seen & liked P200ns, due to the stigma attached to Bajaj (its not my own experience, but what I heard) it wasn't in my list. Then a friend of mentioned about it, as it costed appx 15k more than Trigger I decided to have a look.
As the need was urgent I wanted to discuss pros-cons of this & registered in xbhp 2 weeks back, but sadly I got posting right only yesterday
TD: On same week I took TD. As I had limited knowledge about biking, my only focus & concern was whether I will be able to manage this bike. And I could
except few difficulty to feel & control the power compared to P150 which I had ridden mostly... And I felt OK I can
After few rounds in showroom outside premises (Popular bajaj, Bannerghatta road), a showroom guy told me "En Saar Heeg odusthideera?!! Idu Sports Bike, Full Fast odisbeku, neeven olle Luna odisdang odusthideera" (Its Sports bike which need to be ridden Fast & Faster, But you are riding like a luna).... I just gave a sheepish smile..
Without further thought about Trigger or whatever I booked this. But dealer told I've to wait for appx. 1 month due factory strikes & delay in supply.
Xbhp Entrance Exam: As I was patiently waiting for my posting rights & pour my queries over here and also due to the month long waiting period, I started reading this huuuuuuuge thread right from page 1 started on 27/07/13 & reached to 553rd page yday by that time I got posting rights
By that time I also got a fair idea of initial experiences & issues.
Now all of a sudden today, to my dilemmatic surprise, got a call from dealer that my bike has arrived. Now don't have time to complete remaining pages of this thread & jumped straight to last page

So here I'm requesting your valuable suggestions:
1) I don't have much knowledge of bike riding & none of my acquaintances have P200NS. Hence I just need to assure myself that this selection is not going to be a regrettable decision. Speed is never a priority. Atleast for the sake of huge 1lakh investment of hard earned money I don't want to end up having more SVC trips than memorable trips with this beauty. So how much reliable or trouble prone is this bike? Need not be perfect atleast comparatively Ok Ok type is enough..
2) At the end of 553rd page there were some concerns from owners about engine harshness, heating, tyre issues etc. As it would take more than 2 weeks to complete reading whole thread, please tell me how is the situation now with long term users like chintan99, @rahuldevnath, csajal, Rahulbarik, Shibadip, J K, & everyone.. Re: Pulsar 200 NS
I have completed more than 8k on this bike. Mostly commuting with few shorts trips.
Buy this bike if you are able to fins a good SVC. There is no major issues with the bike. It's just that after service problem starts to come. I have been giving by bike to Auto service in Bangalore. Superb place with knowledgeable mechanics. Hence, touch wood I m yet to face any major issues.

Congrats on the Purchase with NS...
NS is really a Good bike compared to others When it comes to Price and comfort...
We all expect Comfort good mileage and power from what we pay for....
Am a Proud owner of P135LS for a good 2yrs...
Jumped to NS and got the Yellow one...
Handling is not an concern with the NS, if you have ridden bikes like P150, it will ease to handle it in traffic...
Am around 5.11 and weight around 52kg ( slim build )
The moment i got the bike, i started to ride it with no issues ( with a pillion )
1st 1~2 times, i felt hard to mount and position me on the bike, cos of the seat position..
As for the Problems,
There are vibs in it, Yes it will vib like hell till 1st service.. vibs will be felt more wen you reach above 400kms...
Once the 1st service is done, the bike will perform like anything ( Make sure u do 2k RUN in period as mentioned in manuals, good for the bike life )
Now i have crossed 1.4k odo and i feel my bike is smooth and less vib...
Rear disc use to give squeaking sounds, but its normal... cleaning the pads will get rid of it...
Till now, i havent found any major issues with it...
You will love each and every ride on it...
:P me waiting for sunrise to take it to work :P

Yes i do.. Not only Bike, everything that i own. I take care of them... Cos they are a part of our each and every day life...
My 135LS was as good as new, even wen i sold it... 27k odo done and it was still as the same..
Park your bike away from SUN and Rain, few nuts and bolt will get rusty easily...
if not able to park it in shade, use bike cover...
Make sure you dont cross 6k RPM till u reach 2k kms...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS : My 1st
Haven't tried rear braking in RTR but my guess is that it should brake better than NS with rear brake alone because it's lighter ? May be as NS is heavier it relies more on front braking power to stop ? I found NS' rear brake has moderate uses and requires careful usage on varying surfaces. Rear tyre just locks up so easily, it's like it's designed to show off your skidding skills.Originally posted by bondarun View PostThe thing that i am not happy is the rear brakes...
they are good but the feedback is not as strong as it should be...
my friends New RTR180 rear disc bite is strong and u can feel the force felt.. but mine, the bike just moves on, until i use the front disc brake...
( had rear disc noise and plate heating issue after 1st service, the removed the unit and cleaned it up and replaced it, noise went but bite is lost )
Anyway to solve this issue?
I almost didn't read the "Just kidding" part lol, I thought like how come Yellow NS vibrate more than other colors ? haha.Originally posted by Red_Redemption View PostThis is a known issue with the yellow NS. All yellow NS`s vibrate more than the blue, red or black ones.

Some NS do vibrate more than others, I can't beleve a video posted by rahuldevnath where he puts a cup filled with pepsi on top of the tank and revs his bike in neutral till redline, demonstrating how less vibrations his NS gives him at 15k-16k on ODO. He's maintained it extremely well I guess. Cos when I did similar test on my NS, the pepsi cup started vibrating, and bubbles started popping out. Not much, but no way as less as his bike... and I always thought my NS' vibrations were very controlled lol. Very used to it though.
You really read each and every page till 553 ? oO Don't think too much, go for NS if you're in love with it's killer looks, as you certainly don't care much about speed.Originally posted by sngmk View PostI started reading this huuuuuuuge thread right from page 1 started on 27/07/13 & reached to 553rd page yday by that time I got posting rights

NS is pure sex, honestly though, I don't think it suits your style. NS likes to be ridden hard, that's where it's fun lies, I don't think you'll do that. Good low end torque bike is what you need. May be 220f suits you better.

The slaves cost me 80 a piece. The master one was changed at 10k kms so I vaguely remember it to be around 200 rupees.Originally posted by teotia001 View PostHow much the stock spark plugs cost you????
I second that. It feels like riding an R15 below 4k rpm. Above 4k it's decent and at 8.5k, the bike screams out and hits the rev limiter quickly in the first 5 gears. If you feel closely, you can feel a jerk, i.e sudden burst of acceleration at 8.5k rpm. (OT. Duke 390 feels exactly the same, but at a higher magnitude though)Originally posted by broken87 View PostDon't think too much, go for NS if you're in love with it's killer looks, as you certainly don't care much about speed.

220f feels like a proper 220 cc bike at low revs. The older generation pulsars were renowned for their low end torque. Having this knowledge, make your pick. The teenager-ish behavior of NS or the mature 30 year old tourer-like behavior of the 220f.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Touring with premium fuel does boost the F.E and the way in which the bike accelerates. I found no problems accelerating from speeds as low as 40 km/h to 120 km/h cruising speed in 6th gear pretty quickly, of course aided by the air-flow rate of the new air filter and the new engine oil.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.
