First of all you need to point out your exact requirements..then it would be easy to recommend something...

I also had a thought of changing rear tires..I shortelisted MRF/Pirelli/Dunlop/Michelin in 130/70. And MRF Revz 150/60 (duke stock) is also an option.

BTW could you please post some pics of your tires?? Would be interesting yo see their condition. I think Eurogrip can last well past 18k. Of coarse depends on riding.

Also I am just curious..4 punctures - Is that bad enough?? I mean I don't really know about it..So asking..Because I have heard those soft compound tires get many many of punctures sometimes. How many punctures should be considered as threshold??

PS: I already have got 2 punctures in the rear tire of my NS... I am on 8.3k km on ODO..
Well I dont ride much... and I love stock... and I sometimes do offroading... but i also like to ride on good roads sometimes... type of compound doesnt matter... but it should not get puntured often....

4 puntures is not enough to discard a 18k old tyre.... the reason for changing it is: at around 2000 kms I had a bad punture... somehow i got it fixed but it had created a wide cut... now yesterday i had another punture and realized that the old one is not in a good condition.... hence dont want to risk it anymore...
pics wont be possible now as I dont have a camera... not even a P&S cam..

Well, I am not sure whether is too tight or too lose which is causing it to make noise. But when I checked its slackness, its too tight at some places (like 5mm slackness) and too slack at some places (like 15-20mm slackness). I know the chain is not evenly slack but Isn't this difference too much?? And i dont really understand why this difference is there at first place...
    Get the sprocket settings checked....

Its not that Number of posts that matters, its the number of Kilometers that does and how you do those kms that matters....

I own 200ns but people around here are constantly bothering me by saying that bajaj is not that reliable as HH , Honda etc ...
coz of this i now my dad has been raising questions on realiablity of the bike

as far as now the bike has not given me a bad bump !! (except for once i ran out of fuel and fuel gauge was showin 4 bars on it still )

and latest issue i am facing is the side stand ... the bike leans more than before on stand !! i guess some one might have been sitting on it for a longer a time while the bike was parked in my college parking !!

and any suggestion for a louder horn ?? i dont those big horns that most of the people fit on the knee guards.. a simple single horn would also do ( basically anything that has a lil heavier sound than the stock horn )

i have seen alot of 200ns on road in nashik... by chance anyone here on this forum ??
About reliability, Just go through some old bikes. you will understand

I am going to fit P180's dual tone horn on my NS, which is very small & amazingly louder

One question - very old one - but still not been answered

What should I do to get maximum light intensity from a Philips Extreme vision bulb? (12v 55/60)
        Any electrical experts ????

          • Hi.. My bike was serviced a week ago and the SVC guy told that the disc pads are good and doesn't require any change however I had been to a local mechanic to get the chain lubed a two weeks after the service and he said that the rear disc pad is worn out and requires a change. Can somebody please advise the durability of the disc pad ( I understand it goes as per usage pattern but I need to know on an average) and also the durability of the spark plug as I removed the plugs and cleaned it recently as I had engine stalling and misfiring issue which is stopped after cleaning the plugs though but I am still considering a change of spark plugs. Could the seniors please advise on the best spark plug and the price if possible ?

BTW I am from Bangalore and my bike has run 7600 on ODO

Looks good. Would look so much better with a touring windscreen - that would make it a proper Pulsarstrada. And yes, I too own a CBR and I have been staring at this pic!.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

now what i did is put a 35w h4 hid in my stock reflector (which is greenish yellow in color) and a 35w 6000k h3 hid on the left hand side DLAA fog lamp which in turn gives out a greenish white output coz the glass of the fog lamp is tinted.... and i left the righ fog lamp stock with the 55w bulb to help me in the fog on highway.... and this is the result which came out....

Windscreen is out of the question for me, even though I'm into a lot of touring. I know it reduces wind blast on the rider, but it simply doesn't appeal to me. Thanks for the inputs.

                    Thanks for the opinions guys.

                    Details:

                    Cost: INR 500 + 50 fitting charges.
Place: I don't remember the shop name, I bought it at JC Road, Bengaluru yesterday.

I checked out a few others and they were around 4500-5000 INR. Like I said in one of my earlier posts, this isn't exactly functional but I've fitted it for visual appeal. And it does appeal. I'm wondering if I'm the first NS owner in Mysore with all these extra add-ons. People stare, especially when I wear my helmet. They see me like I'm an alien. People kept asking me questions even in bengaluru. Kids see my bike and go 'waaaw look superbike' Priceless.

Riding experience is a complete change. It feels like I'm riding a ducati. They vibrate at any given rpm and that sounds good.

Anyway, I'm planning to change the design of the guards. I don't really like the collinear holes on it. I bought it anyway because was in a hurry yesterday when I was in Bengaluru. Handguards aren't available in Mysore.

After fitting Philips EV, my light intensity have reduced. What should be the reason?
I had seen one NSian used that particular bulb.
(I had to chase more than 5KM to catch him to ask about his bulb )

                              • Hello fellas,

I'm looking for help for a friend of mine whose NS is magical. In which way is it magical you may be thinking? Well, it vanished the coolant without any noticeable leak after some spirited riding.

Has it happened to any of you and did you find what is wrong and how to solve it?

Cause it isn't normal for me, none of the liquid cooled bikes I know had suffered from such a problem without the evidence of an obvious leak.

                                Thanks in advance,
                                Cheers.
Do not click it unless you have an open mind...
