Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Is there any cornering in this video ???Originally posted by broken87 View PostI thought of sharing this video. Some great cornering on our beloved NS! I thought stock tires weren't meant for such 80-90+ high speed cornering.. though this mexican road really seems well built and grippy oO.. so that also helps right. Skilled rider!
In which seconds, let us know.
because I didn't seen any thing like "corners". Those all are wide turns.
(even SBK's couldn't take corner above 80+ speed, as we can see SBK championships )
of-course, your stock tires are much capable of these type of riding.
Have you ever had hilly area like "Kerala" ?
Here in Kerala, most of our roads are like racing tracks with "potholes"
turns & corners are everywhere
Totally agree with you at the tire part. I was also faced the same situation. but still rolling-on on Eurogrips @above 6K ODOOriginally posted by Aytas_sss View PostI disagree about the stock tyres part. Yes,they aren't as good as comparable tyres such as the Revz on the Duke and the R15,but these are no slouch either. These do take some time in warming up properly but once they are at optimum temperature, taking corners at high speed is no problem at all. The road conditions, the skill of the rider and the tyres' condition are the prime factors here. Honestly, when I first scoured through this thread before purchasing my bike,I was deathly afraid of riding on the stock eurogrips. I was hell bent on changing them the day of the purchase itself. But I was advised to first try them out for a month or so. I haven't yet faced a problem regarding grip on city roads. ( ones with no sand spilt happily on them ). The only area where they fall flat is on going through off road sections where admittedly, the bike's limited capabilities in that regard come to fore.
Also, since most of the motorcycle reviewers have cornered real fast on this very set of tyres,I am more than willing to put my trust in them. Atleast until they are worn out and I have saved up enough money to procure Pirellis. Y'know. Just to feel like a racer-boi.
In the video, there are no sweeping turns, (knee down cornering)Originally posted by Aytas_sss View PostThe most speed I retained while taking a rather broadly sweeping corner was around 75-ish.
You can take turns, like in video, above 100+ KMs with confidence
(as per speedo)
that we always do
of course through non-slippery and "above average" tarmac
But through corners - having "L" or "U" shape - I will keep below 40 KMs, even I am in hurry...Last edited by spknair; 05-29-2013, 04:02 PM.I wish if I am the only rider in roads !!!!!
So I can red line my bike all the time
1992 - 1996 - Hercules Cannon Barrel
1996 - 2002 - Hero Swing
1998 - 2004 - Bajaj Caliber (1,21,000 KMs)
2004 - 2005 - TVS Victor
2005 - 2011 - Honda Unicorn (80,000 KMs)
2011 - 2013 - Honda CB Unicorn (32,000 KMs)

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
My realization...
Me and my friend were going on our own bikes (he has HH Passion plus) cruising at 40KMPH. I was in 5th gear and i asked my friend whether he can hear my engine sound. His reply is "I can only hear the sound of the chain. I am unable to hear the engine beating sound at all." The road was completely clear and no other vehicles are there. Even for me I can feel the engine running but the sound is not audible for me. The roughness totally depends on the RPM may be. Even Honda engines at higher RPM's may be rough, never tried it though. Because in lower RPM's I can feel the smoothness in P200NS engine.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
There is a link for parts catalogue and manual (manual is in Spanish). But I think it can be translated. The link is in page 1025, post number 10241.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postguys, do you have soft copy of P200NS user manual & service manual and parts catalogue.?
Bajaj has an online maintenance chart for its bikes in the website. But not the whole users manual. I have also been trying to find an online manual but no success.Last edited by danny king; 05-30-2013, 03:13 AM.Your bike is a part of you....

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Check all intake and air filter sealing area , may be the clamp at air entry duct or crab duct is loose ... Whistling sound is due to that usually.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostI had this issue before. At 4k rpm for me. After pressurising the mechanics a fair bit, they opened the tank and located some bolts which weren't tight enough. These were the ones near the engine. After tightening them, the sound vanished for good.
@all, the pipe which takes in air for the air filter is located right on top of the engine. The heat from the engine is transferred to the air which makes it less dense and the efficiency of combustion is reduced. In my opinion, it's a bad design and it takes it's toll in B2B traffic. But the 220 has the air intake from the side so HOT air doesn't reach the filter. I was wondering if any mod can me made on the pipe from the air filter so that it takes in air from elsewhere? Experts, inputs please. Wish I had pics to justify.
Ask your mechanic to check the all intake clamps, air filter cover... Be there when he is doing all these things

perhaps cornering wasn't the right word ? but there are still some wide curvy turns taken at high speeds. not ez

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
I got my Pulse 200 NS Saturday 25th May. Such a smooth engine and quick throttle response. Love to ride it on Highway as well as in City. Handling is much much easy regarding R-15 v2.0 and Pulse 220F.
Today evening I checked and found that Radiator Fan is not working. Asked to Showroom guy. He told me they will check it during 1st Service. Though any idea? Is BAJAJ doing this for some reason?? Keeping Cooling Fan off mode does help anything regarding engine power and smoothness?? As I am new to this thread sorry for some grammatical mistakes as well as some knowledge about Bike.
