Is it??? I heard that they are good off-roaders too...Originally posted by Aytas_sss View Post.....The only area where they fall flat is on going through off road sections where admittedly, the bike's limited capabilities in that regard come to fore.

Exactly.... so thats the point... you need skills to have proper control on the bike... its just not a change of tyres that does the trick .... it might make it easy but tyres dont teach you to corner... its an art... needs lots of practice... so dont try something untill you are sure about it...Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostMotorcycle reviewers are professionals who've done umpteen hours of extreme riding on a variety of bikes. Their superior control boils down to THEIR skills and expertise. Not necessary that we'll end up safe and sound in time for tea at home after a day of riding like them with the current set of tyres. My suggestion - hold your horses around wet & sandy corners till you do get the sticky rubber.Last edited by surojit; 06-01-2013, 01:41 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
I said, limited capabilities. Not outright bad at it. It doesn't hold a candle to the Karizma or the P220 in going off road. The suspension is just not geared for it. I can vouch for that since my older P200 DTS-i didn't make my butt go numb going over a patch of potholed path.Originally posted by surojit View PostIs it??? Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Guys for the past few days the bike engine feels strained every time I push it past 50 Kph. It feels like the back tyre has no air but have had it checked twice and the air pressure is fine so don't know what the issue is, any ideas ? the bike is 2 months old and has done 2000 Km as of now.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Well met with a small incident a.k.a accident, a silver indica was trying to overtake with not enough space. Any way as all cabs driver are :@, he tried n banngggg. Luckily i didnt lose control of my bike & then there was obvious sweet words between us. Then I started noting down his car no. & he lost interest in me and went off. Even I didnt argue as I didn't see any damage from first look. But as soon as he left & resumed my travel, I realised something was wrong with rear bake. Front Aluminium foot rest was cracked
Went to close by service center usig gmaps. They told piece costs Rs 791 or so but they don't have it. I was cursing myself for letting that driver go ealiy
only if I had seen the damage properly. None the less my day was about to get worse as yesterday was a horrible night for all commuters as there was heavy heavy rain with water all over the place. Me & my bike had first swim together
I was suggested by the service center to not to use rear brake as the holder might completely come off. So riding 20kms without rear brake with water upto knee level :/ horrible just horrible
Any way today got it repaied from Khivraj Kasturba Road as no one else had that spare part. Total Cost Rs 700/- which included spare part(391), labor(153), Rubber grommets(yes finally got them
71) & another part for rear brake. Attaching the pic enjoy
for odd reason i dont have the pic when the part completely came off yesterday late night. Took the pic before giving it for service.
Just after the accident
Service at Khivraj
I always prefer to wash the bike myself but after yesterday swimming in dirt thought of trying a wash place near to my place. Small but superb guy, washed 5 times
Any way charges are 70 rs but gave 100 rs (felt he was cleaning his own bike)
Was just roaming around the SVC, saw this baby lying down there. As per the mechanic over there, Cost to repair = Rs 2L ONLYBeing best is not about beating everyone. It's about how much you learn from others and make yourself even better

Hey, these rubber grommets, where as in which location on the bike and how many of them are put across the bike. Any idea ??Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostWell met with a small incident a.k.a accident, a silver indica was trying to overtake with not enough space. Well I did think of the welding & did visit a mechanic shop. However, the owner suggested me to go for replacement as welding wont be safe after seeing the condition. NOTE: My pic just before i gave the bike some how disappeared from my ph's memory :/
Well you just need to unscrew the tank bolts which are there on both the sides(two each) & if you have any rubber like fittings then they are installed or else get them.Actually I never really faced any major vibes around tank area after 1st service but still y wait for them
One is within the black net area & second one fairy visible

As much as I love green color on bikes, its better that color stays on NINZA. For odd reason no other bike looks good in green for me :/ any way would be nice to have little extra color options in India alsoOriginally posted by vaibhav93 View PostBajaj Pulsar 200NS GREEN COLOR

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
guys locking up the rear wheel and sliding is very stressful for the chain right and not good for the engine either is it. i can't help but do it so often though. it's fun :3Originally posted by ankur2smart View Post
Wow this is the best way to clean the bike from underneath ? I might try it lol

always sad to see a bike like that... but looks like a stoppie just went wrong in there. that's a Ninja 1000 or 650r
Also why our NS has SOHC while the Duke has DOHC ? DOHC would've increased the power output right ? and reduced vibrations also ?Last edited by broken87; 06-02-2013, 09:34 AM.
