Today evening I checked and found that Radiator Fan is not working. Asked to Showroom guy. He told me they will check it during 1st Service. Though any idea? Is BAJAJ doing this for some reason?? Keeping Cooling Fan off mode does help anything regarding engine power and smoothness?? As I am new to this thread sorry for some grammatical mistakes as well as some knowledge about Bike.

Congrats!! How do u know it is not working? Keep the bike idling in Neutral for 2-3 minutes, the fan should start. I too thought the fan on my Duke isn't working, but service centre demonstrated this and all the doubts are cleared

The radiator fan turns on only when the engine temperature reaches a certain maximum point. It doesn't runs all the time. If u wanna make sure about whether its working or not, try riding the bike in full b2b traffic , if possible at 12 noon , then u will get to know whether ur fan is functional or not .....

A look at behind the scenes of NS ad

You're the guy who'll be sneaking out of your bedroom at three o'clock in the morning to look at your bike.

I saw the fan by keeping engine running in neutral and stand still on road side. I did around 10 kms short trip before this checking. So engine was hot enough to get cooled. As my friend has R-15 v.20 in which I think radiator fan starts by turning on the ignition. I can hear the sound of rotating electric fan motor.
How do u know it is not working?

Going in for First service next week.
Thinking of using motul, any recommendation on the grade of oil ?
Lots of vibrations on the console, brake levers and foot pegs...got to check those.

Benagaluru'ns - I'm thinking of getting the bike services at Khivraj indiranagar; pls pass on your suggestions
Any svc in blr that allows to change to motul without much fuss ??

no, your fan should definitely be working. 10 kms isn't enough. try again and take a longer ride at hottest time of the day.
Radiator fan in NS starts by turning the Ignition ON as well.. if coolant temperature is hot enough.

                  Hi all,

Had a bad morning today. Like always got ready for office took the cover off my bike and a uncle standing nearby said " what's that hanging ? " To my horror it was the rear brake pedal assembly that was broken. The place where i park my bike is a narrow lane. Trucks haves to just squeeze in to get thru. My friends told me that a truck did pass thru ystrdy evening.

I was aware that these parts of our 200 ns are more fragile than they should be, but this is too much. There are no signs of any scratches in any part of the body just this.

Or somebody hit it hard with something out of spite. The boys in my area are notorious and are well into bikes and stuff. Infact , they are the ones who had initially told me not to go for a 200 ns for this same reason. I have also seen lots of ns in the svc for the very same part replacement

I some how managed to get to my office slowly using just the front brake. Will get it replaced today evening.

Does any body know how much does this part and the corresponding services charges are ?

Hi Buddy.. Khivraj Indiranagar doesn't make a fuss on changing oil to Motul.. I have gotten all 3 services done there and each time I've bought 2 cans of Motul and gave to them.. They return the remaining 1.7-1.8 l of oil..

Grade has to be 20W50 or 15W50 .. no compromise on that.. Motul is available very close to the service center in Domlur right opposite Shanthi Sagar..

There is only one guy @ Khivraj Indiranagar who services the NS.. His name is Mari and he does a good job.. So you if you plan to go there over the weekend please make sure you reach there by 7:45 AM.. they'll service only 5-6 bikes (NS) in one day and incase there are left over bikes from the previous day then they'll take lesser number for servicing..

Why not motul mineral oil ( i do know tht bajaj dts oild is a ss oil )??

Yep 5100 15W50 is perfectly fine.. in Motul you can go with 3100 Gold, 5100, 7100 or 300v.. any of it 15W50 or 20W50 is recommend and mandatory as well..
