I do not have enough time to visit the service center to adjust the headlight and will be doing a ~1000km trip over the weekend
Please can someone tell me where the adjustment screw is located? A picture of it will be most helpful..

      hello mate,
even i had a problem with my head light focusing and was very worried as i was to go on a 1300km road trip. i told the service centre guys during the first and second servicing but they didnt so i had to do it my self...now here you go with the instructions....for adjusting your head light focus you need to open the complete head unit. you can find four allen screws which hold the unit to the bikes frame two on each side. open them up and you can find the wires for the pilot lamps now take them out out along with the holder then the head light wiring and the connector remove it now the speedo wiring and the connector remove all the connectors and make sure you remember the sides and the locks on the connector as u may get worried while re-inserting them....now you can take off the entire head unit in to you hands turn it back and you can find a screw with + head on it there you can see marking up & down turn it towards down to adjust the focusing...you can even complete unscrew to its last threads so the focus will be low and good.... if you still have any concern regarding this you can PM to me... have a happy ride

      thanks & regards,
      Nihanth.

well i was a lil bit lucky, i went at about 2.30 for a engine oil change... thats when they opened that carton and moved that bike to the back of the service centre...
all the guys who were present there were snapping pictures of it...

And regarding engine oil, did u changed to motul or bajaj ?

i guess, whatever those guys say jus depends on their mood and varies from person to person... i had done my second service abt some 10 days back, during that time i enquired abt changing to Motul SS to them, the guy who made the service chart for me gave me two options

either i can buy it myselves and bring while taking the delivery and he ll change the oil and give
        OR
he said that they can change themselves to motul, but it wont be from a separate 1L bottle, he mentioned something like they have stock in a drum at the back of the service centre, and they ll use that only... he also said that i m free to go and check it at the back of the service centre... and upon enquiring abt the price he said that it ll cost arnd 1500 for that...
i was like 1500 for SS... then i said no need to change engine oil now, i ll buy and bring and change in the coming week.... he said OK...

then i found this dealer in Xbhp engine oil thread, Goodwill Agencies- Avvai shanmugam salai, Gopalapuram, Chennai. Went there. They had all motul stocks. Got two bottles of Motul 3100 20w50 for some 600rs (approx). Then went back to probiking centre yesterday and got it changed. They didnt say anything to me. Thats when i saw this KTM bike being opened from its carton and taken to the back of the service centre. I didnt knew that its for showroom display, i thought some one has ordered it .... when i enquired the price, they said the same to me, 17 lakhs ....
hi vinodh..i was there at the SVC at 8.30 AM. and i still stuck with the same bajaj DTSI oil now.will be changing to MOTUL 7100 in few days and the SVC spares section guy said the 1lt MOTUL 7100 costs Rs. 775 and as you know we need to take two bottles as we require 1.2lt in our bike...

                    • Squeaking noise in my Pulsar 200NS

                      Hi guys!

                      This is Ashok from Chennai.
I've bought my Bumble bee in Sept. 12. I've completed my running in time without any problem.
I've lubed the chain for every 500Km with OKS spray(recommended by BAJAJ An Kluber product).

After completing my running in time (2000Km) I'm facing a problem in my monster.

I observe some squeaking noise from my rear wheel when I drive at low speed like 20Kmph.
I observe this issue even when I just push from rear wheel.
i asked to clear this issue at my second service and the service guys lubed the rear disk with a spray and cleaned my disc calipers and the noise went.
After 2 days it came back.

I've drove up to 136kmph with this issue.
Guys have you faced this kind of issue and if you have any idea to clear this issue kindly suggest me...

Guys should i give the bike for service according to the manual or a few hundred kilometres earlier, i average almost 80 kms daily, how about getting it serviced at every 4000 kms?

You can give it few hundred kms earlier if you want for the specific service. Anything later than the time given will not be accepted and your free service will go to waste.
Every 4000kms is a bit late unless you want to keep it perfect. So try servicing it for every 3000 and oil change for every 5000(if its FS).

A paddock stand is what you need. Get one locally fabricated so won't cost you much, for branded stuff like Rjays it's cost 4k and votrtex ones are even more costlier.

                                Cheers
