thanks spknair for your responses, i mostly ride in the city and between 4k-6k rpm and sometimes 8k max, hence i have to choose the 220 only i guess as it vibrates less when compared to the NS. I want a bike with the least bit of vibrations as i have owned a GS before and it did not have any vibrations. i know i will not get a bike like GS unless i pick another GS but i guess the vibrations must be very less.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Just returned after getting the 1st Free service done at 520kms on ODO.
Bill charges were 250( battery maintenance, oil filter replaced, consumables)
Also, as the service i had been was a PROBIKING centre, insisted on not using DTSI oil from bajaj, so they have now put the same engine oil that is used for DUKE (Motul 7100 FS).
Now i hope this does not create any issues since i have started using Fully synthetic right after service.
Kindly note that on my manual, WARRANTY CONTINUED has been ticked, so no worries of warranty getting elapsed.
Please advice if it is ok to use the bike with fully synthetic or change the oil to semi synthetic.

couple of vibe free bikes like GS150R i can think of... hmmmm RE Bullet and Apache ? xD.Originally posted by SriKi.GSpian View Postthanks spknair for your responses, i mostly ride in the city and between 4k-6k rpm and sometimes 8k max, hence i have to choose the 220 only i guess as it vibrates less when compared to the NS. imo you've good choice for your riding style, plus 220 has much better low end torque while NS sings a song only in the higher RPMs.
btw, is Karizma ZMA vibe free ? old but gold right.
no problems now that they've poured 7100 FS.. but go back at the SVC and confirm the viscosity of the oil they've used for NS, silly mechanics can sometimes put 10w40 oil in 200NS, it is absolutely not suited for this bike as I've heard. should be 7100 20w50. Go there and confirm if u wish.Originally posted by karthick.s.rao View PostJust returned after getting the 1st Free service done at 520kms on ODO.

I was present at the site when the engine oil was put into the bike, and it was a 20w50 FS Motul 7100 oil from 1 litre can and an extra 200ml measured from the motul 7100 FS 20w50 tank.
So hopefully this should not affect the engine in the running in phase.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
i see, you're ok then. I doubted about 10w40 because probiking mechanics at my place (Suman Bajaj Noida) use 10w40 in Duke, Ninja n all, as per them viscosity doesn't matter, only the oil to be poured in these high end bikes should be fully synthetic. that's all. A mechanic there even gave me false info that 20w50 isn't gonna be found anywhere in Noida, but thanks to Motul outlet locator I found several dealers within Noida/greater noida who had all kinds of Motul products. So in future you could do that as well. Get your desired oil from a Motul dealer in ur city and make them use it in the next service. Also few others NS'ians have also been running on 7100 since 1st service, I guess it only slows down your engine break-in period right ?Originally posted by karthick.s.rao View PostI was present at the site when the engine oil was put into the bike, and it was a 20w50 FS Motul 7100 oil from 1 litre can and an extra 200ml measured from the motul 7100 FS 20w50 tank.

and one more thing, he used 200ml measured from a motul 7100 20w50 tank ? a tank u mean like a barrel with a Motul sticker on it ? When I had inquired about the oil present inside those Motul stickered barrels at Suman Bajaj Noida, i was told that those infact have Bajaj DTSi oil & not the Motul one.. so may be he mixed 200ml of DTSi oil with 1 ltr Motul ? Still just a guess and nothing sure. nothing harmful either way.
Sorry off topic, But why do I suspect this is about me ? If it is then what did I do this time to get you angry ? In future try PM'ing instead.Originally posted by spknair View PostDear Admins (especially :the monk)

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Need help..
Just an hour ago I was in heavy rain with my NS. I was on the way to home from my office and that distance is approx 35kms. But when I left office, there is a small road with steady rain water and I came from it when the water level was upto front seat of NS. Front headlights, radiator and half of the fuel tank were in water, though NS didn't even hesitate to go through.
Just accelerated in 1st gear and Me and my NS both passed it. It was nearly 30 meters road full of water. Other bikers and car drivers just shockingly watching me like what this guy is doing? I was worried little bit if the engine stops than everything will be damaged under water, but NS engine never even stopped beating. Hats off to Bajaj. Saved me and now I am at home. Otherwise I would be stuck in such heavy rain pulling my bike.
Just wanna ask, if this may cause damage to radiator/radiator fan or engine or any electricals?? I checked headlights and it is working fine. Engine color I noticed little bit dull than before.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Hi sngmk,Originally posted by sngmk View PostAfter 4 days, my bike is back
While replying to customer service feedback form mail, I sent the youtube link for video recording of my bike & asked the service manager to give his reply & observation, diagnosis of problem thru mail so that I can contact manufacturer. And asked his justification for taking 4 service visits & last 4 days in SVC to solve a problem in new bike. Even though he didn't reply, morning I got call from him, later from Service engineer & by evening it was ready.
I asked them to clarify exact issue..again piston this-that-blah-blah-blah!!
Later he said he replaced Disc & it was mentioned in service report too!!
The rear brake bite is better than ever now. Hoping problem won't come back.
When I was at SVC, rode another 1000km old P200ns, it was so smooth & now I know the fun I was missing
Next time if I come across any P200ns owner, I want to let him ride my bike for a while & want to know if its ok.
All this time they were citing problem with Piston but how come they replace Disc break after I sent mail, video & mentioned about Bajaj. While I was having a discussion with manager decently, he was saying even if I inform bajaj, finally i've to come back to that SVC!!
Could you please confirm if your problem of the metallic sound coming from the rear break is fixed by replacing the complete disc break? I am asking this since i am facing the exact same issue and it seems to be getting worse by the day.
Had been to the SVC last saturday and the problem re-appeared within a day.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
somehow, by gods miracle, your bike survived, otherwise it is not designed to operate like that. half tank down in water means your air filter box is submerged in water, all electrical connections etc also in water.Originally posted by Himanshu Patel View PostNeed help..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
thats why I am worried. Though I was bit fast in the water so I think water didn't get chance to slip into air filter. Tell me now what should I have to do? Just came home and parked it since 5 hours.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postsomehow, by gods miracle, your bike survived, otherwise it is not designed to operate like that. half tank down in water means your air filter box is submerged in water, all electrical connections etc also in water.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
The faster you go,more the water gets in. You should have avoided that road IMO. Check the airfilter box and airfilter for water.Originally posted by Himanshu Patel View Postthats why I am worried. Only disc replaced not entire set as far as i know.Originally posted by darbarster View PostHi sngmk,

In my case I observed, before 4th time repair (& just after 1st service) wheel & break were totally out of alignment. I'll PM you the video link.

Thanks! That will help a lot. I have not checked my alignment but will have a look now to see if that is what causing it!Originally posted by sngmk View PostOnly disc replaced not entire set as far as i know.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
You can use it with a peace of mind for some 7k kms but keep an eye on the oil level. My friend uses it for more than 7k kms in his 200 with one or two topups.Originally posted by vaibhav93 View PostMotul 300v Factory Line
