14th August gave me the opportunity to see the NS (my would be) for the first time. Yesterday went with @ Toxicbiker to check out how Good Hearted my Would be is, apart from her sexy looks. Simply put, took a Test Drive!!
    Here is My First impression:-

Pre-Script - Most of the points might have already been discussed millions of time in the NS threads.. So please bear

    LOOKS -
    1) The bike looked much much bigger than what the Photos portray. IMO, the size gives you a feel of a Quarter liter bike.
    2) Completely different from the monotonous look of the old-gen pulsars.
    3) Headlight, and the Broad Perimeter frame surely is the USP of the bike's look.
    4) When I sat on the Bike, the Hand's position kind of felt commuter-ish, because of the raised up handle-bars. However, the foot-pegs are placed in quite an Aggressive position.
    5) The tank gives a feeling of Big-Brother of Hunk, while sitting. Otherwise(i.e. while standing) the tank looks superb, and gives the NS it's big bike character.
    6) The instrument cluster looked very posh
    7) Am 5'10", and had no problems with the foot placing.
    8) The seats are soft, and the front seat is huge. Can easily accommodate any Fat As*
    9) The rear part did gave a Hint of 135LS, but unlike many, I liked the tyre Hugger, and it certainly helped in making the rear look beefy.
    10) There are lots of Sticker jobs. Can prove to be both advantage, and disadvantage.
    11) There is a huge gap between the rear side panel and the seat. That kind of gap must be Intentional, and only @Rahuldevnath, and @MG has found out it's correct purpose.
    12) The switch-gears seems to be a downgrade from the previous gen. The fuel knob, though seemed funky, but is of bad-quality.

    RIDE -
    1) The engine Sound wasn't Highly addictive or anything, but it certainly depicted the smoothness of the engine.
    2) The RPM needle is very responsive with the throttle movement.
    3) The riding stance is Comfortable, and not Sporty.
    4) While riding, the feel and the view of the handle and the RVMs gives you a dirt bike/street bike kind of feel.
    5) The gear shifting was very Smooth. ( a Big Improvement by Bajaj)
    6) The Engine has great pull. I found it to be as good as P220 (if not better). 220 has a rawness in its engine, so one can feel the pull, But the NS engine being smooth, one hardly gets an idea of it.
    7) Me being a safe rider, found the handling adequate enough. But my friend differed on this issue, and that had more to do with the rear tyre slipping (on dry road) during his test ride. Tyres certainly seems to be a let-down on this Flag-ship model. If a bike is modeled for good handling, then why ruin that feature with Bad tyres?? As speculated earlier, Bajaj must have given an option of better tyres for the spirited riders.
    8) Both the Brakes were good, and did not make any screeching sound.
    9) The bike seems to be weighty, but the weight was not felt while riding. I made some dodges with the pillion at low speeds, and never the bike felt heavy.
    10) Vibrations - it was there I felt a tingling sensation between my thighs, while my friend also felt it on the footpegs. [mind you all - me coming from a P150 UG2, didnt feel it much, while my friend coming from a Fazer, prominently felt it]. However no vibrations were there on the handle-bars.
    11) I missed out on checking the low-end torque (one of my vital requirement), but my friend assured me that the bike scores well in that field as well.
    12) Even if your GF/Pillion is short height-ed, she/he will get a nice view of the road while sitting on the pillion, because of the seat height. However, the pillion seat is adequate and comfortable also.

After healthy 10 min discussion with @toxicbiker, we both agreed that BIKE IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE INVESTMENT. So without any further delay, the booking was done. The dealer was friendly enough and responded well with all our demands to the extent he could.

Lastly, a huge thanks to @toxicbiker, for showing keen interest in the NS, and accompanying me with his ultra-smooth Fazer both times.
guess I don't need to write down anything more as for the riding impressions...you have already done my part...btw no thanks yaar....yup there are vibes which I thought Bajaj would eliminate in this model,....and one more thing...in the handling section whatever I FELT...it a big let down...220 handles way better than this....me being a hard core rider almost driven all bikes available in India below 3 lakhs...wasn't happy with this handling part...wrote it previously itself about the weight distribution and had a doubt that time itself...but few friends out here told me that when I ride this one I would be surprised but guess I am letting them down....there is weight while you push into corners in slow speed and handling is no more than a simple 180....most probably the tyres are the main culprit for this....but Bajaj could have done twiks with the suspension also....
After I drove the NS I personally took one of our childhood friends 220 to feel the difference after few hrs itself so that the impact remains in me...and yes...220 is a much better handler in this segment...
I have seen ppl comparing it with the R15 or CBR150..but honestly I felt this is no where near to them in terms of handling prowess..the front shows the weight while in corners than the rear..may be center of gravity is on the lil bit higher side....and again the tyres are like hell...it may cause harm in wet roads....
but as a overall package its 100% worth as per the price and other oomph factor....congrats bro shibadip...waiting for ur beast to come and ride together....

show room guys said me that there no choke in this bike....but now I found it in the user manual thats its under the fuel switch n
when does the radiator fan gets on?????????????????????
bro gross weight 275 means u can have upto 135kgs of load in your bike that means pillion and rider should not be more than 130 kgs...combining....sad for few people though...

the radiator fan gets on whenever its necessary...i.e. the engine is heated enough..

agree with the handling part... Though ns is more flickable than any pulsar, its the stability and handle feedback which bothered me... Not at all stable but yes its flickable...tires are poor... But what i loved is the ride quality...the rear suspension

may be you don't know how to corner.
btw what's exactly wrong with the tyre ,are you guys leaning like they do on racetracks?
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Well, the run-in period really sucks and the mentioned run-in is like eating with fork and spoon when you are kept hungry for a week. This run-in is worse than my Pulsar 150.

Here is my P150's run-in speeds and gears:

            Kms 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th
            0-1000 14 22 30 37 44
            1000-2000 18 28 38 46 55

P200NS has got this insane 23.5 BHP and 18.xx Nm torque, weighs 2 kilos more than my P150(dry weight) and has got much much better techs involved and still the run-in is too conservative. Not sure if this is a scared manufacturer run-in.

in this context nothing to say.....may be you are the only one who knows about cornering.....

kept my thigh tight on the tank and tried to lean once just to test how stable it can be in worse situation...but never got the right feedback from the machine...

i am not saying that i know everything about cornering but if i can scrape knees on my perimeter frame less, sticky tyre less humble p135 then i can surely lean at corners on ns confidently.
btw tell me where do you get to lean near thakurpukur?is there even any corner to test ns's ability?all i see straight ,gravel road.
10 mins test ride is nothing to exploit a bikes's ability.

you don't need a motoGP track to corner...simple bend will be enough to have the preliminary idea about the leaning ability.....go to james long sarani and try to take the u-turn in a lil bit speed or just for fun try out to doge the potholes....u can see...for me morning shows the day....
btw I should really learn from you bro....you can corner with scrapping your knees down....probably in Chingrihata flyover.....its awesome...
nd in may bike also with simple diamond frame...i can scrap me knees but never tried till that far becoz i don't have knee guards till now,...

I am not sure about the testing area/tarmac out there (thakurpukur) but we all know P135 has got a super light weight+more power combo. Plus its chassis does not give that rubbery thing like my P150 or P180 or even P220. I have not tested P200NS so can't say about cornering, but with perimeter frame we expect it to handle newbie cornering tantrums.
I myself have scraped my left side footpeg to the tarmac leaving sparks behind, but that scared the dayligths out of me. If I am test riding P200NS, I will surely like to come closer to what I already did with my P150 and just compare the scenerios. For me, this is only the cornering thingy I would be testing. Knee scraping is left to pros with proper ride and a track, not the roads.

cornering on a city road is not recommended, learned it hard way, talking about chingrighata fly over ,it is just a simple bend.
