Ns must be able to beat karizma when ridden at fully crouched position ..
I still have kept with me all the three bikes. I have not did a drag between K-R & P 200 Ns since my p 200 NS is in rinning in period. The initial pickup or torque is almost the same in Karizma and P 200 Ns. However, I feel Karizma is more stable than P 200 at high speeds.
The cornering and handling on hills seems to be better with P 200 NS. Both bikes are on par with each other- one being a naked bike and other a cruiser.![/QUOTE]
no way the 200ns can match the karizma's torque..never...it doesn't even come close...even a noob can make it out... Karizma and 220 are torque monsters.... No offence though

HI Guys, have completed 3000 kms. Had changed the oil during 1st servicing (600kms).having completed 3000 kms i feel lack in performance altough engine is much smoother now. When i went to bajaj service center to change the oil they insisted not to change the oil now but to change it during 2nd servicing(5000 kms). Can anyone suggest whether i should change the oil now or not.

@ashish Congrats buddy
and nice pics
@others I found out one strange behaviour of my NS.. After Turning the knob to RESERVE, the engine automatically loses some power and throttle response decreases! Only when I put in enough petrol to turn the knob to ON, It behaves normally again. Has anyone else experienced this?sigpic
Ride safely and responsibly. Remember, we have just one life.

Karizma has got good mid range surge but other that , its pretty much slow for today's standards ..also considering power to weight ratio, , ns must be able to go past karizma.. even r15 easily goes past karizma with such less low end torque .. I guess even rtr180 beats karizma ...Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postno way the 200ns can match the karizma's torque..never...it doesn't even come close...even a noob can make it out... pulsar 200ns - 18.3 Nm
karizma zmr torque - 18.35Nm
pulasr 220f torque - 19.1 Nm
Where the hell is there so much difference ?

ZMR has jus 0.05Nm more than NS and 220f has 0.7 Nm more than NS !

Search for Air Fuel Ratio, you ill get the details.Originally posted by ankur2smart View Postman this fiber treatment just keeps getting better and better

And can you please throw some more light on this 'AFR'. I don't know much technical terms in biking so please try to keep it as simple as possible.

Thanks. I think it's the picture which makes it look that dark. But anyway, the black portions should not loose shine for atleast a year! BTW no polish hereOriginally posted by Vineet_200 View PostSuper Cool ,even my just 1 week old bike is not as shiny and clean as yours
,Great Job !!!!
Ha Ha. I have already tried with the perimeter frame, quiet difficult to stick the CF without creases. I don't CF alloys as wellOriginally posted by Rahulbarik View Postyou wana wrap the whole bike in CF?
anyways radiator shroud is looking cool... And the tank is looking superb from side...better than stock... Btw next what? Wrap the alloy wheels in CF...will look cool..., next the perimetre frame...

Nikon D90 with 18-55Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostAnother thing, which camera did you use to click those shots? Daaamnn those pics are awesome

Thank you. And we all know PTR review was the best review we have come across!Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostThe CF treatment is the BEST mod I have seen on the website for some time now.
Super!
Originally posted by Shibadip View PostYa friend, I too feel that my NS is still running on the leaner side. Last time I adjusted the AFR to a very Tiny bit. Will again do some more adjustments, on the richer side.
But it's the Rain which is keeping me OFF from my DESTINY
. Couldn't take it for a spin in last 3 days. It has been 1 week of my ownership and the ODO stands on a stagnant 43kms

Again super work. In fact the Radiator thing looks sexier. But Truth be told, you stole my Idea
. the day i saw the CF treatment on ur Bunblebee, I decided to do it on the Radiator shrouds, as it wont look good on other places coz of the red tank. Also i saw something similar in the duke ownership thread
BTW, Do you apply your bike polish on the perimeter frame?? Coz it looks so Black.. I applied waxpol, on the frame, but the colour looks same. It just became all the more slippery..
Perfect heading
AFR - Air Fuel Ratio. The ratio of Air:Fuel can be adjusted through a screw (bronze colour) present in the carburetor.
Putting the CF on radiator shrouds was Rohan's idea!
In this pictures I have not applied any polish anywhere, just normal washing. Infact in the morning Rohan saw my bike in pathetic condition.
Thanks for the idea Rohan, for the shrouds!Originally posted by Rohan200ns View PostHad a close look at Rahuldevnath's ns and his CF work .. the decal quality is very good ..I have plans of using the same kind of CF decals to wrap up the tail section , side panels and radiator guards of my duke ..

Ns must be able to beat karizma when ridden at fully crouched position ..

There's a huge difference in Power to weight ratio of ZMR/Karizma. Also even with more torque, NS beats 220/ZMR/Karizma hands down. The acceleration of NS is superb.Originally posted by Rohan200ns View PostKarizma has got good mid range surge but other that , its pretty much slow for today's standards ..also considering power to weight ratio, , ns must be able to go past karizma.. even r15 easily goes past karizma with such less low end torque .. arey i was talking simply about torque...that too low end...not outright performance... Karizma is known for the pulling power and the torque even at the leanest possible AFR setting..... Other than that the ns can beat the hell out a karizma anydayOriginally posted by Rohan200ns View PostKarizma has got good mid range surge but other that , its pretty much slow for today's standards ..also considering power to weight ratio, , ns must be able to go past karizma.. even r15 easily goes past karizma with such less low end torque .. @all: the problems faced in the bike are odd and funny... Hope bajaj rectifies them soon and offer the changes to existing owners free of cost...This Tail Is Japani Tail (spell as you like)

You don't see only the Torque that one produces, but also at what power band (RPM level) is it able to produce that kind of max torque..Originally posted by suraj200ns View Postdude, what are u talking about ?

Hey Praveen, How much did the reflective rim stickers cost you? did it buy it online or at a local store. Are they original Monster stickers or is it just the packaging?Originally posted by praveen6585 View Post500 kms on the odo! all set for the first service
Motul 3100 gold 20w50 and red reflective rim stickers..

@Sero and all those who have changed to Motul during running-in: What do you guys do when the SVC guys do not allow to use any other oil other than the DTSi. Do you drain it home on your own and then pour in the Motul?Originally posted by sero View Postyes this is the best oil for ns recomended by RAHULDEVNATH, I am using it in my ns really feel good, gears become so smooth, problem from1st gear to 2nd has disapper..... thanks to rahuldevnath
What do you with the DTSi keep it for future use or just dispose it off?
Another query: speedshift in one his earlier posts had said that the Okhla SVC where i will be going they sell the DTSi oil @ Rs.650 / litre. If that is the case then i was thinking of opting for the Motul 7100 (if available). I know FS oil is not recommended before at least 2500 km on ODO due to the delay it creates on running-in period. But i am not in a hurry with the running-in process, so i guess shifting to FS should not create any major problems.
completed 510 km on odo today.

No buddy, DONT do that. There is a reason that FS is not recommended during the break-in. It will glaze the cylinder walls, and your bike will never break-in properly.Originally posted by sunilyo View PostAnother query: speedshift in one his earlier posts had said that the Okhla SVC where i will be going they sell the DTSi oil @ Rs.650 / litre. Going for SS oil is OK, but FS is seriously not Recommended.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.
