Completed run-in...

completed run-in of 2000kms yesterday

.... over the days of 40+ mileage

... also our great goverment (assh**** congress) increasing prices of petrol by Rs 5/ltr from saturday...

Oil Minister announced today that there is no immediate plan of petrol hike as of now .

Are you sure ? .. for them " no immediate plan " means not tomorrow ( cuz they don't want to come to work during weekends) .. it is another way of saying " you will get a shock on monday " ...

Sorry for the ot mods. A few of us were unsuccessful trying to find motul mineral in Kerala. Thought this might be helpful for those who wants the best for their NS.cheers. vj

Guys which engine oil to go for 1st service where it will be available in bangalore and what will be the price kindly help me.. And any one got the service done at khivraj kasturba road bangalore..??? Any negative things experienced in the service quality??? And what need to be checked nicely before releasing the bike from service station...

AND GUYS

Had been to showroom today morning

Initially manager told " It is impossible to replace it we can only repaint it , u can check in ur user manual that we give warrenty for only Engine"
So i told him "Oh is it!! I wanna confirm it , so i will send a mail to Bajaj Customer Care and do as they say (Replace or Repaint)". Suddenly he changed "No sir wait I ll ask Service center abt it and see"
Less than 15 min its replaced

Bajaj customer care works...

you can do the same for the charges thrown at u for free servicing.. ... ideally it should be around 450-500/-

I had done the servicing there
Nothing negative

In showroom they wont change the Oil other that BajajDTSi
So i went for it

You got something replaced in terms of paint ... Which part was that bro?? In my bike also certain areas paint is coming off like sticker...

It was actually the Number Plate HOLDER was starting to rust due to the Bad painting done on it.
So had done a replacement for it today

I dint replace anything During service. Service center was Khivraj Kasturba Road.

Reading on Odo when I gave it for servicing : 480 kms

Oil Charges : 450
Oil filter : 83
Change Service : 71 (The chain & sprocket looks clean & green now

)
Total : 604

Also got the Fuel knob rectified (it was stuck before). Got the suspension on a slightly harder setting & I did felt that the ride height is slightly increased and the bike feels lighter than before ; as if it lost 5-6 kgs (or maybe its because I've started to work out a bit recently

).The bike seemed to be more refined after the service.I had asked the svc guy about whether installing a P220's horn (from the dealership itself ) would void the warranty or not & he said it will get void & insisted on not to mess with the electricals in the near future.Got the RVMs tweaked & now the rear view has improved a lot & the handlebar portion looks more clean & tidy.
Also , the " power lag" between the 2-4k rpm band has decreased by a significant amount but one can still feel it.

The 'Low Oil Pressure' indicator still pops sometimes.The bike still tends to go left if I take my hands off the handlebars

Reading on Odo when I took the bike back : 480 kms
