We have planned to ride all the way to Leh. So I'll be riding 2500 odd km on wet tarmac and then face off road conditions. Can anyone please suggest me what tyres should I go for! If this topic was already discussed then please let me know the page no.

Would definitely not recommend the stock tyres. For ladakh people recommend off road tyres. The vertigo tyres from ceat are a good option.

I have done ladakh on mrf revz s tyres on the rear and stock euros on the front. Did not face any problem whatsoever.

The lesson is that tyres are just a state of mind. How you ride over there matters.

    Ride safe!!

Got a chance to run my modded NS on the dyno. It's got a ported head from Race Concepts, UNI pod filter, 120 size pilot jet, slight short gearing and LOADS of weight reduction. Now after all transmission losses, these are the dyno figures we found AT THE REAR WHEEL and NOT AT THE CRANK.
Stock Pulsar 200 NS: 16.8 Bhp
        Stock Duke 200: 17.5 Bhp
        Stock CBR 250R: 18.7 Bhp

        And then my NS:

Yup, 19.4 Bhp at the rear wheel, which is more than a stock CBR250R. Also note that the max power is made between 10200 and 10400 RPM (stock makes max power at 9500 RPM), which means this bike wont feel underpowered above 135 km/h. It will happily hit 160 km/h (speedo indicated) which is approximately 144 km/h in real world (stock NS is claimed to make 138 km/h in real world figures). What's more, my NS is 43000 kms old now, and 30000 kms old on the mods. Big thanks to Race Concepts.

So your crank bhp should be 26-27. Pretty impressive without a bigger piston

Note: you can reduce transmission losses significantly by switching to a 428 chain-sprocket with same power handling capacity

DO NOT put your mobile under the seat...there is absolutely no space..
I use a 1.5 or 2mtr data cable for charging my phone while it is mounted on the handlebar or when its inside my pocket/bag...
The cable can easily stay in the gap between the rider seat and pillion seat...

Dealextreme ships quickly..delivery is about 30 to 60 days(max)...always got it in under 30 days
remember to order more than $15 so that you get a tracking tracking number for the shipment

would be happy to help you if you have any other doubts...
Hi, thanks for the reply. Yeah, now that I want to fix a mobile holder as well, but have not seen it getting popular. How good does it sit or fit in?, considering a max cruising speed of 110KM\h, Im a bit skeptical....

Alternatively I find this, though it's a universal and not for NS. what is your opinion?.

Since both are Amazon fullfiled, I hope the products wont disappoint much. And regarding the holder, does it stay safe incase of bumps and potholes?. I have a 5.5inch mobile.

Thats good. But I don't find the plastic transparent cover that good enough to provide the screen readability. Otherwise, the attachments are really good and readily removable when and where required, which is good in my opinion when compared with other types. Thanks anyway for giving me another option.

Also this one suits good for bicycle, how about bikes?. It says the diameter 15mm to 18mm which i guess is the max and minimum values that it can be fit into. Any idea if it can fit into our bike?.

                    Hi guys,

Hope all of you are enjoying your ride.. I got a small issue with my NS, right after recent servicing it's not starting when fuel level goes to reserve [yes.. i'm turning the knob to reserve ].. so I pushed the bike to petrol pump.. once I filled petrol and fuel knob back to ON position.. viola, it starts again. So, there it is guys, I want to listen from experts what could be the possible reason. This is happening only after recent servicing, coz even when going for servicing it fell in reserve and started fine without any problem. Only after servicing it refuses to start in reserve.

Water in tank...? See with a torch ( not candle ) you will see water under the petrol if it is there

Thanks Dude, I will pick that charger. At first I thought to get a good power bank, but still I'd like to have this setup added to my bike. Also the mobile holder link that you have shared from amazon looks so good and well built but is unavailable. I'll wait for it to become available. Thanks a lot....

I will be using motul 3100 20w50 oil. And my bike has completed 5000km.

Shall I change the oil filter as well? How much would it cost?

Just make sure you drain all the old oil,
Changing oil filter is must when you change oil , it cost some 80 rs and also check o ring of filter cover as a bad one may cause leakage.
