            • Finally, got my yellow NS last evening. Very satisfied and I must say the Eurogrips are not as bad as they have been projected to be. There was very heavy rain last evening after I took delivery and the bike still felt stable through all the water and wetness on the road. Further, the tyre dealers have all started demanding a very heavy premium for the pirellis, sensing the recent demand. I feel that 4500 for the rear PSD is too high a premium.

I too face the same scenario. I think its generic and not an issue.

While stopping at signals and with the engine running, I noticed that the tachometer stays around 2k rpm before dropping back to 1.5k. Some of the other owners can elaborate/ confirm on this.

So without any further delay, the booking was done. The dealer was friendly enough and responded well with all our demands to the extent he could.
                    Congrats bro.. Nice summary...

                    Important Query :

After 46 + 53 KMs I've changed the engine oil (the same bajaj oil), after that I took the bike to my home (5 kms) and idled it for 2-3 mins. The engine seemed really hot than it was after the 53 km ride. Is it an issue? I've not rode the bike from morning. I'll try to do that for a few kms and let me see whether it gets heated. Anyway, Is it normal or an issue?

And my dealer disconnected the odo and assured to fix it on day of registration as he said "Motor inspector will ask millions of questions if the KM is above 50 and I know you will ride it this week "
Congrats on ur new Pulsar. Scratches on the hugger are common. Mine had them too... Did you ride the pulsar with shorts?? Because I don't feel the heat when I drive wearing Jeans.

Sachin: Check one of the photos shared by one of the XBHP member. There was a mod about the saree guard.. Will share the link if i find it...

I had recently had my first service done, the bike is awesome apart from a few minor issues. A few pics from my end

The engine did feel strained but I guess its because i'm used to driving a Fiero..

                      • Finally proud owner of this wonderful bike called Pulsar 200 NS..!! But need a help.!

                        Hi all,

First of all I would like to thank every one in this forum for their expert comments and ownership reviews. I had been following this thread for a long time and it really helped a lot to finalize this superb bike...!!

Its been 1 week since I bought this bike. There are no major issues. But, recently I have started experiencing a problem. Bike's engine stops at low RPM (1K to 1.5K). And sometimes just after starting it. Is there any problem with the bike or I am wrong in handling.

Kindly suggest...!! Also, this is the first time I am using an Electric start bike.. So, please help me with few guidelines of starting the bike

And yes the HIDs are coming too!

Not really a mistake, black numerical is possible, but it will be cumbersome!

ya i know about your 220.. And yes red lcd will look better and unique...even i love red backlit better than blue, but blue will match my blue bike... that too with blue backlit switches... Everythimg BULUUUU

                              • Actually tire manufacturers make customized variant for a particular model. That is even if there's a MRF for R15 which is superb, the same tire cannot be offered to 200NS (same profile).

Secondly, soft compound tires are costlier, and lasts far much lesser than the hard ones. My P220 came shod with MRF Zappers Soft Compound, however the benefit of Soft Compound withered away in just 9,000 kms or so and by 18000 kms the tires were completely worn out.

Now, not everybody rides that aggressively, and not everybody will be willing compromise for such a drastic life of tire (provided they know about it).

Finally, the default Eurogrip tires, are not that bad (they are far better than some others in the same price bracket). One might need better tires to get the full potential of the 200NS, but not for everyday commute.

I did some aggresivve corenering and riding, and not even once i felt that they are any worse than my P220s zappers.

In the near future, Bajaj might opt for better tires or give one options. However the price will go up as well. Atleast for my riding, I find the tires good enough.
