Need a little help here. I had Booked the Pulsar 200 NS exactly 1 month ago here in Bangalore at Khivraj Bajaj. I was told that i would get the bike within 20 days from the date of booking. I checked up with the sales person in the status of delivery before the 20 days got over and was told that there is a huge demand for the bike and hence, it is better to make the complete payment. The sales guy promised that bike would be delivered within 10 days from the day i make the complete payment... Even though i was little hesitant, i made the complete payment. And today 14 days have passed and the sales guy has not kept his word of delivering the bike thrice.

Each time, i am given the same excuse of the YELLOW COLOUR BIKE not being available ... After putting much pressure on them, i am told that i can take blue or black bike tomorrow itself or else will have to wait till Tuesday when the new supply comes.

I want to write a complaint to Bajaj Customer Care on this. What is the point of specifying the colour at the time of booking if the same is not delivered??

Can you guys tell me how much time one has to wait ideally in order to take the delivery?

How come the colour of my choice i not available? Is the sales guy bluffing??

What is the email id of Bajaj Auto Customer Care?

    Thanks and Regards,
    Rohit
    @rocketraki @kaydee_bangalore and @Shreyance

Shoot a mail to the bajaj customer care they will respond

And guys My ideling stays at 1.8k or so after few minutes of riding is it ok
initially at the starting it stays at 1.3k or 1.4k rpm

As you know in my 220 I had changed to Blue Backlight. But - The higher the colour temperature the more glaring it becomes. And I realized it later on Blue was too bright for comfort! Also, RED is far more exclusive than any other backlight colour among Indian bikes.

And yes the HIDs are coming too!

Not really a mistake, black numerical is possible, but it will be cumbersome!

      • @Rahuldevnath,
I planed for that "red eye" parking lamp for my NS..
but my friends are saying its illegal.... "RED LIGHTS at front side may confuse other oncoming riders and they think it as rear in night."

Donno a rule exits like that.. I was like

have your encountered anything like this?

EDIT: btw, Rahul bro.... console looks great.

          • FINALLY, the bajaj Flagship has arrived in the Least preferred metro city - Kolkata.
14th August gave me the opportunity to see the NS (my would be) for the first time. Yesterday went with @ Toxicbiker to check out how Good Hearted my Would be is, apart from her sexy looks. Simply put, took a Test Drive!!
            Here is My First impression:-

Pre-Script - Most of the points might have already been discussed millions of time in the NS threads.. So please bear

            LOOKS -
            1) The bike looked much much bigger than what the Photos portray. IMO, the size gives you a feel of a Quarter liter bike.
            2) Completely different from the monotonous look of the old-gen pulsars.
            3) Headlight, and the Broad Perimeter frame surely is the USP of the bike's look.
            4) When I sat on the Bike, the Hand's position kind of felt commuter-ish, because of the raised up handle-bars. However, the foot-pegs are placed in quite an Aggressive position.
            5) The tank gives a feeling of Big-Brother of Hunk, while sitting. Otherwise(i.e. while standing) the tank looks superb, and gives the NS it's big bike character.
            6) The instrument cluster looked very posh
            7) Am 5'10", and had no problems with the foot placing.
            8) The seats are soft, and the front seat is huge. Can easily accommodate any Fat As*
            9) The rear part did gave a Hint of 135LS, but unlike many, I liked the tyre Hugger, and it certainly helped in making the rear look beefy.
            10) There are lots of Sticker jobs. Can prove to be both advantage, and disadvantage.
            11) There is a huge gap between the rear side panel and the seat. That kind of gap must be Intentional, and only @Rahuldevnath, and @MG has found out it's correct purpose.
            12) The switch-gears seems to be a downgrade from the previous gen. The fuel knob, though seemed funky, but is of bad-quality.

            RIDE -
            1) The engine Sound wasn't Highly addictive or anything, but it certainly depicted the smoothness of the engine.
            2) The RPM needle is very responsive with the throttle movement.
            3) The riding stance is Comfortable, and not Sporty.
            4) While riding, the feel and the view of the handle and the RVMs gives you a dirt bike/street bike kind of feel.
            5) The gear shifting was very Smooth. ( a Big Improvement by Bajaj)
            6) The Engine has great pull. I found it to be as good as P220 (if not better). 220 has a rawness in its engine, so one can feel the pull, But the NS engine being smooth, one hardly gets an idea of it.
            7) Me being a safe rider, found the handling adequate enough. But my friend differed on this issue, and that had more to do with the rear tyre slipping (on dry road) during his test ride. Tyres certainly seems to be a let-down on this Flag-ship model. If a bike is modeled for good handling, then why ruin that feature with Bad tyres?? As speculated earlier, Bajaj must have given an option of better tyres for the spirited riders.
            8) Both the Brakes were good, and did not make any screeching sound.
            9) The bike seems to be weighty, but the weight was not felt while riding. I made some dodges with the pillion at low speeds, and never the bike felt heavy.
            10) Vibrations - it was there I felt a tingling sensation between my thighs, while my friend also felt it on the footpegs. [mind you all - me coming from a P150 UG2, didnt feel it much, while my friend coming from a Fazer, prominently felt it]. However no vibrations were there on the handle-bars.
            11) I missed out on checking the low-end torque (one of my vital requirement), but my friend assured me that the bike scores well in that field as well.
            12) Even if your GF/Pillion is short height-ed, she/he will get a nice view of the road while sitting on the pillion, because of the seat height. However, the pillion seat is adequate and comfortable also.

After healthy 10 min discussion with @toxicbiker, we both agreed that BIKE IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE INVESTMENT. So without any further delay, the booking was done. The dealer was friendly enough and responded well with all our demands to the extent he could.

Lastly, a huge thanks to @toxicbiker, for showing keen interest in the NS, and accompanying me with his ultra-smooth Fazer both times.

                      • Got my Red NS yesterday night, has some minor scratched over that last part of rear tyre hugger and it didn't matter as all bikes had those.

Initially had to take the bike from coimbatore to tirupur along with a mechanic in the pillion. The Bike has run 40 KMS on the odo. The dealer said that the heavy load lorries are not allowed inside the city and initially the bike had been tested and had some kms on the odo. He showed me all the bikes of the lot with same figures on the odo. Got the bike, Still sent a mail to bajaj customer care about that.

                        About the ride :

The dealer asked me permission to ride it from coimbatore to tirupur as I was the only one taking the bike and they are closing their dealership. I said I'll come with you

I rode it for 50 kms and gave it a break half the way while stopping for tea. Maintained 4-5 k in the rev and gave some bursts on 6k for 4-6 secs.

Positives/ The not so Goods :

The response is awesome. The bike begs you to rise the throttle.

Braking has been definitely improved. First time bikers, please read @payeng sir's article on braking on indian roads. The front and rear disc combination is a wow.

Tyres were Okay, but not awesome. I just cannot understand why a flagship product is compromised. Will change it soon.

Registration will be done on next friday as I'm about to fly to hyderabad on Monday.

                        Important Query :

After 46 + 53 KMs I've changed the engine oil (the same bajaj oil), after that I took the bike to my home (5 kms) and idled it for 2-3 mins. The engine seemed really hot than it was after the 53 km ride. Is it an issue? I've not rode the bike from morning. I'll try to do that for a few kms and let me see whether it gets heated. Anyway, Is it normal or an issue?

And my dealer disconnected the odo and assured to fix it on day of registration as he said "Motor inspector will ask millions of questions if the KM is above 50 and I know you will ride it this week "
You have heard of me, But you don't know me. You know what I'am, not what I've gone through

RIP stands for RIDE IN PEACE

As far as I know, there are no specific rules pertaining to the Pilot / parking bulbs. However this particular concern has been there with one my friends as well. But, once the headlight is switched on, the pilot bulbs, irrespective of the colour aren't visible. And at least I feel, that the Pilot Bulbs being RED, is not a problem because they are really tiny to be mistaken as tail lights. I haven't been stopped by cops till now as well.

I planed for that "red eye" parking lamp for my NS..
but my friends are saying its illegal.... "RED LIGHTS at front side may confuse other oncoming riders and they think it as rear in night."

Donno a rule exits like that.. I was like

have your encountered anything like this?
See section 97(2)/177. Using colored lights. But it's a nominal fine for NS owners .
Love the ride, not the destination
