  • Guys, one quick question... when I switch off the ignition I hear a TAK kind of noise from left side of frame... somewhere around choke. Is it normal and which device is getting switched off?

On level ground with about 5L in the tank, it showed 4-5 bars.. On the way down from a steep multi level parking exit, the orange light lit up and it showed only a single bar..

Trust the knob.. dont get too senti bout the light

Dude let me know about the warranty part because i am planning the red pilot lamps as well.. i will check with the service guys tomorrow if they can do the replacing..

Even i think the fuel indicator light is useless. In fact it irritates me (its too big IMHO). (in my passion pro, the bar indicator itself flicks when on very low on fuel, so no extra indicator needed) You get the clear indication when the bike goes on reserve, and then you turn the fuel knob from ON to RES and off you go. And from my experience, the digital fuel indicator is useful only if you check it when the bike is on center stand and upright completely. A little tilt or sloshing of petrol in the tank is sufficient to make it indicate wrong reading. But i guess you get a general idea once you get used to it and thats sufficient, one doesn't really need milliliter-accurate fuel gauge.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

          • in most of the bikes, manual reserve by fuel knob and reserve indication by digital fuel gauge and reserve warning light will never match, the reason is because both are different systems and each system has its own percentage of error, specially the digital one. moreover, since petrol in tank is not 100 % stationary, the digital gauge will only give and approximate indication only, it will never be 100% accurate. and its the same for almost all bikes, atleast in india.

the most accurate fuel gauge i have ever seen on an indian two-wheeler was that of my kinetic honda (1986) damn accurate.

it gets dried up if left for a long time while buffing up,it becomes hard to remove then.

and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.
