The stock dtsi oil that is put in the NS is SS in nature.. So u can go with SS oil from the 1st service.. However, if u r going with Motul, then i would Suggest you to go with 3100gold for the time being..Originally posted by mutatedknutz View Postbut is it good to change to ss on my first service itself ?
I myself have used it, and was damn impressed by it..sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Yes, it's not a problem, this thing is a old thing followed on older engines, where mineral was the best oil to run-in the engine for getting the tight tolerances. But the newer engines do not need that kind of treatment, so it's good to go. Moreover , most LC engines run on FS oil anyway right from the first kms.

Well, exactly my thoughts too..Originally posted by nilesh14587 View PostI was trying to underline the point with official source...
But i really think, with the hype of 200NS, i makes a whole lot of sense (to me) to name new bike with NS label....
Well time will tell, no point in getting into tussle over speculations, now, is there any??
BTW,
I changed to Motul 7100 20W50 after 3rd service @around 8500kms. Didn't find much difference from 5100. Certainly a marked difference from 3000 series as expected. I do think that 7100 would have better life than 5100 which lasted for about 3000kms.
As for the oil, Well, it's better from most of the other oils, or so I've heard, but technically, you will need to keep that oil at a constant to get the best outta it, experiment at the initial stage, but stick with one when you know that this is the best outta all you have tried.
I have realized the best for my bike, so I'll keep that up for the rest of it's life with me...

Well got the bike and had a nice drive yesterday ... what an upgrade from my pulsar 150 ... im loving the bumblebee
few questions :
1) the bike is about 8 months old now and clocked only 900 kms ... first servicing was done at 500km ... as per manual second to be done at 240 days or 4500km .. mine was just serviced 400kms back .. should i go for the servicing or not ??
2) what oil should change to in the second servicing ?
3) Can i get my bike water washed with pressurized water wash centres locally ? what kind of care should be taken
4) Thinking of getting angel eye to my bee .. does it void warranty and btw is it even legal ? police dun fine me up right ?bumble bee \m/

1) yes, you must take it to the service, or else the warranty will be void..Originally posted by niteshneela View PostWell got the bike and had a nice drive yesterday ... what an upgrade from my pulsar 150 ... im loving the bumblebee few questions : 1) the bike is about 8 months old now and clocked only 900 kms ... first servicing was done at 500km ... as per manual second to be done at 240 days or 4500km .. mine was just serviced 400kms back .. should i go for the servicing or not ?? 2) what oil should change to in the second servicing ? 3) Can i get my bike water washed with pressurized water wash centres locally ? what kind of care should be taken 4) Thinking of getting angel eye to my bee .. does it void warranty and btw is it even legal ? police dun fine me up right ?
2) at 2nd service you do not Need to change the oil.. onle top up is needed (if required)
3) yes, but take care of not blasting the water directly on to the engine, and other electrical stuffs..
4) Warranty void, and police won't disturb u as long The light emitted i neither blue nor red. .)

Hello every one. This is my first post. I bought my black monster in January 2013. I am having a little problem here.
Whenever I switch on the kill switch entire console is switching on but neutral light indicator is very low in brightness until the speedometer light is switched off.
Some times the neutral indicator light is not switching on at all until the speedo meter light is off.
Told this problem to service center people but problem is still there.
Any one facing the same problem and what might be the cause.
Thanks in advance.Last edited by Rajesh Javvadi; 04-19-2013, 12:12 PM.

I have removed them now. GF didn't like them. I think I'll buy better ones for ~5k INR which can be fit on to the bar end weights. That would look even better.
But I gotta admit, the feel of riding the bike after putting them on is like nothing ever experienced! The bike simply feels *bigger*!!
Btw @all, I used to think I'm too short for the bike but I'm not
