but even I have hit the tail section with my leg when getting on the bike.. cause it's so high but i'm ok with it as it looks damn sexy.

It's gonna take a while for you to understand how NS' fuel indicator works lol. and then you'll be like.. omg it's such a dhokebaaz meter !! One thing is for sure your fuel efficiency is turning out to be good. Also I agree with the last part.. "I also keep looking for reasons to ride the bike"!Originally posted by tushargok View Post
yeah as krishna said, not a reliable meter. Just wondering if 220f's meter is better in this case ? it's also digital so does it show correct readings for fuel ?Originally posted by krish2778 View Post
I love the seat height !! cause I'm avg tall guy, 6ft. I wish the riding position was a little more sportier, like handle bars footpegs at better places. also a little more seat height plsOriginally posted by nilesh14587 View Post

A sportier riding position would have been awesome , especially a lower set handlebars...plus the high rear seat looks super sexy...infact if I could increase it more , I would !!

I have escaped several dangerous situations due to this issue where the motorcycle stops suddenly in heavy traffic.I had first informed this issue during the SECOND service. They returned my motorcycle the same day and the repairs department assured me that the problem was with Idling RPM and it had been fixed. The the problem showed up again.I had informed the same issue and several others during the THIRD service . They increased the RPM and returned my motorcycle the following day and they assured me that the problem had been fixed. The problem is still persistent and the mileage has reduced considerably from 39 km\l to 27 km\l after the tuning. I am extremely disappointed. I am also shocked at the workmanship of an authorized service station assigned by a reputed manufacturer in the country. Anybody has the same issue ?????????????????? Please post ur suggestions to sort it out.

Hi,
I had the same problem few days back and the service guy has increased the idleing and the issue is stopped now.. However i need to check for few more days if i encounter the same again. BTW is there any misfire on your bike coz i suspect the spark plug to have gone bad.. This happened in my previous bike due to spark plug failure ( Plz correct me if am wrong)

+1 to the people complaining about the bad ergonomics of the bike.
Everything apart from my back is not "sure positioned" including the feet. Especially the right foot. You can't let it rest under the brake lever too, unlike the left foot where you have more time to switch gears. Most of the time I'm just changing the position of my right foot.
The indicator switch is positioned badly too. Forget using the switch while the clutch is depressed, even when it is not, I have to consciously reposition my left wrist to be able to use it. I use gloves all the time, btw. The RTR is so much better in this aspect.
I have never seen an NS with the styling as in the top wali picture.Originally posted by Harsh Thanvi View PostHey guys i checked out some images i forund out that the colour design of bike has had some changes Look for area under the seat in pic 1 its having a blue colour but in pic 2 its black are there any versions of pulsar or the company decided to change the sytyling??

Mate tje first test mules that were goven to auto jouenalists were the one's you are seong in rhe first pic. The side panels were of the body panel color. In the mass produced models ir's a matt finish. Nothing else,no new scheme is there as of now.Originally posted by Harsh Thanvi View PostHey guys i checked out some images i forund out that the colour design of bike has had some changes Look for area under the seat in pic 1 its having a blue colour but in pic 2 its black are there any versions of pulsar or the company decided to change the sytyling??
Erganomics do take time to get adjusted. Each person have different size and the problems varies with each person. I never felt any problems with erganomics other than the indicator release switch. Never had a problem with brake pedal. It's just how well one adapt's to the bike.Originally posted by yash3339 View Post+1 to the people complaining about the bad ergonomics of the bike.

Thanks for the reply. Also, when I idled the bike before switching the engine kill off,the radiator fan started. I was surprised because during the day it wasn't running at all in the sweltering heat. I wasn't sure whether I should switch it off while the fan is running, but when it didn't stop blowing after a minute and a half,I switched it off,the fan turned off instantly and waited tentatively for any coolant overflow. There was none, but I still feel a bit apprehensive. Is this normal?Originally posted by smrutisourav View Posti felt same (out of petrol) during runnin period, now all fine...but when enginne cold, or first start of day, i feel lag in throttle response for few mins (i guess reason is the bike is carb not fi)....according to me it doesnt matter nowadays if u use fs oil from start....

Shouldn't the fan swotch off when the bike is turned off ? And i don't get the overflow part..why you expect coolent overflow ? Yes,the fan did switch off when I flipped off the engine kill switch. And expecting the coolant overflow was just a reaction that was based on reading somewhere that switching the engine off while the fan was running resulted in the coolant flowing into the overflow reservoir and subsequently dripping onto the engine. Hasn't happend in my case yet. Most likely,it's my "ohmygod my new bike" wala paranoid phase.

lets get technical...Originally posted by Aytas_sss View PostThanks for the reply. Also, when I idled the bike before switching the engine kill off,the radiator fan started. when ur bike was on road running, air was hitting the radiator, having enough heat transfer from radiator coolant to keep coolant below high temp (i think it is 92 or 96 c when fan turns on), when u idled the bike, natural convection was not enough to cool coolant, so coolant temperature reached the threshold temperature where fan starts, so that the forced convection (by fan) starts to cool the coolant....i hope u get what am saying
since ur is a new bike, just idle ur bike for few mins in morning and see fan starting (according to manual don't idle more than 3 mins, it might overheat engine), anyway don't worry after runing period, ur bike will be less heated compared to now..bt it will get heated more than other bikes (except duke though...

Yes,I get the science behind it. But what surprised ( and worried ) me a bit was the fact that when I came back after a spin in the day, with temperatures higher than that in the evening + no breeze, after idling for a couple of mins, the fan didn't turn on. But in the evening it did within a few seconds of idling. That was what got me apprehensive.

Since the topic of radiator and coolant is going on i want to ask a question
My bike is 1050 kms old...2 services completed(ok dont laugh on me) with oil changed at 196 kms with dtsi oil and 905kms with motul 3000
I have NEVER seen my bikes radiator fan working
some say the fan is audible...so i havent even heard it
few times i have felt heat on my left leg near the foot and a bit above...
is this the radiator fan at work or simply the engine decided to let out the heat??
Reason to ask this is if i feel that heat i try and stop as soon as possible to see the fan work but i find it not working and if it was earlier working(heat wave on left) i should be atleast able to see it moving and rotating and slowing down to a stop but it always it dead stillPulsar 200NS parts list

Exactly. That is why companies spend on ergonomics. So that one does not have to adapt to the bike, beyond a certain level.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostMate tje first test mules that were goven to auto jouenalists were the one's you are seong in rhe first pic. yes it is clearly audible when there isn't much noise around you. i only saw and heard it once on my first or second day of purchase. Never after that and I wonder why. The radiator fan should start running as soon as you stop at a long red light, get into a bumper to bumper traffic which happens alot. ofc it's not easy to notice the fan running in traffic jams as your focus is elsewhere and too much noise around you. But I think i should really verify this, get it sorted if required. Cause there is this one time I was a red light & my bike idled for about 3-5 mins (ppl usually turn their engines off but I didn't) , then I smelled something worrisome, like the smell you get in brand new engines ? while i had already done about 2500kms back then. surely check it soon if my fan is workingOriginally posted by mayank.travadi View PostSince the topic of radiator and coolant is going on i want to ask a question
