Visited the mech yesterday morning. He did a through check up. The bearings were all fine😊 the stepping out is due to the uneven wear of my rear tyre and he also said that I need to change my coupling rubber too.
      Coupling rubber...What is that?

Would like to see how this Vee Rubber looks. Also, what front tire are you on?
A friend of mine, installed VEE Rubber dual sport kind of rear tyre in his 200 NS. Attaching a pic here.
PS: This is 130 section, but the tyre is broad and looks like a 140 section.
According to him, the tyre has good grip on both tarmac and off tarmac. He has tested it in wet condition and it faired well at it too.

          • Pulsar 200 NS Low Mileage 25Kmpl

            Hello xBhpians,

I am facing low mileage of 25Kmpl on my second hand bought Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. I am sure my riding style is not an issue. I would hardly cross 4.5K RPM in City and would not go above 80Kmph on highways.

Please help me find the issue. The low end torque is also not quite adequate. Morning starts are troublesome. Heats a lot and after heating dies occasionally. Please help me. I am quite new to riding. Not experienced at all. I dont want to get cheated by local mechaninc.

            Thanks.

                Hey guys,

Won't it be good if we keep maximum of our discussions here on the forum so that others can be benefited as well by reading them. Whatsapp though is a quicker way of communication, the information there is shortlived and available for a few only!

                regards

But in my NS the sprocket is bolted directly on the wheel hub with 6 bolts.... this thing was there in my P150. Difference between different NS generations? :what:

This is present inside the wheel hub and it's present in all generations

Ah okay! I thought the hub was part of the wheel casting itself

you sure that is a VEE Rubber tire? I also do have a Vee rubber, but the tread doesn't look like that at all.... That tread does have a strange resemblance to Sirac tread. I am also not aware of VEE Rubber having any other tread design for the 130/80 section.. please correct me if I am wrong. VEE Rubber does have the best grip and tread design of any on-offroad tire I have tested.

Ya, I am pretty sure that is VEE Rubber. My friend got it installed from Globe tyres, Karol Bagh. You may know, Tarun from NWDN. He got it installed.

How often is chain lubrication required? I have heard the count of 500kms, but is lubrication mandatory every time we wash the bike?

Every 2 weeks regardless of kilometers run in my case. I just ensure it doesn't run dry. I use a very thin layer of grease.
If you hose wash the bike, then yes you may have to lube the chain after a wash.
