Re: Looking for a Mechanic/Service Center for Pulsar 200 NS-Dombivli or Airoli
There was one mechanic in airoli named as raju, near airoli circle who used to work exclusively on ns200. I used to see lots of naked wolfs at his garage but he has moved to his native.Originally posted by thegeneboy View PostLast edited by k.sagar; 11-09-2016, 11:33 PM.

Need some help!!!
Hello everybody,
I have ridden 22k km in my ns...I recently got motul 7100 20w50 (3 bottles from delhi since it is unavailable in kathmandu,Nepal). I now need your help regarding interval for oil change and information on top off also...I have read the oil change can be done every 5000-6000 km with top of 150-200ml every 1500 km?? Is it true? I ride mostly in city at around 4-6k rpm, with occasional crazziness upto 8k rpm....hehe..
I am also planning the tyre change to dunlop soon( my other option being mrfs)... thank you...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
So I should stick to 130 or 140 right..Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostIncreased contact patch with the 150/60 tyre will definitely affect the performance. But the rim is somewhat narrow and already the tyre has a rounded profile, so it'll give an exaggerated curved profile on the rim.
In fact someone has done it on xbhp. Google "200NS 150/60" and you'll get it.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I been a while since I have posted anything. Glad to be back. Happy to see that this thread is going strong.
There is a lot of tappet noise louder than usual coming from the engine, louder than usual. Maybe its time for adjustment.
How to know if the tappets and valves are worn off without having to visually inspect?Your bike is a part of you....

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
why would you apply WD40 to disc brake plates? a simple wipe from a cloth should be sufficent to clean.Originally posted by tanirbhay View PostUrgent help needed. anyways brakes not working is dangerous, you need to A) either remove the wheel and clean disc pads or b) do lot of elbow greasing and remove the Wd40 which has stuck on pads by rotating wheel and wiping WD40 from the disc plate (might take lot of time).
i will suggest solution A , get it done from mechanic if you arent comfrtable taking wheel off by yourself200NS 25K kms / RE500 7k kms / Electra 30k kms / P150 80K Kms(SOLD) / i10 40k Kms (SOLD) / Tata NEXON 2K Kms

Re: Pulsar 200ns - Radiator fan issue
Originally posted by Naveen88 View PostHi Guys,
I have a pulsar 200ns which is 2 years old.
A few months ago, I started facing this radiator fan issue where the fan spins very slowly when the engine heats up.
Before this, I used to hear a loud noise when the radiator fan kicks in.
My bike's dash displays the high-temperature indicator after a ride in heavy b2b traffic.
I took my bike to bajaj service center and they are asking me to change the relay and fan which costs around 2000+ rupees.
I asked them whether they have checked the fan removing the relay and connecting the fan directly, but they didn't respond properly.
All they say is that the fan is not working and they need to change the fan and relay.
I didn't let them change those since I am not sure whether they are cheating me.
Today morning, I just had a check with the radiator fan in b2b traffic and found that the radiator fan spins but very slowly.
I recently filled my coolant at shell petrol bunk which is not motul and I have a doubt whether it has caused any issues.
Also, the guy who changed the coolant filled it slightly above the max mark.
I am very concerned about the health of my engine but also have a doubt whether the service center guys will cheat me.
Please guide me to take a proper decision on this.
Looks like the radiator fan is the actual problem and it is not working.
Got it replaced from a local mechanic( friend of my friend).
He was not able to find 20ns's radiator fan, so he bought and fixed duke 200's radiator fan instead.
Now the issue has been solved.
Estimate from Bajaj service centre: radiator fan + relay + labour = Rs. 2500 approx.
Total charges by the mechanic: Rs. 1500 (radiator fan + labour)
Outcome: Utmost care on my bike and total happiness.
He even addressed few issues which I haven't reported since I was worried only about the radiator issue.
This issue also proves the quality of bajaj parts, a bike which is just 2 years old and maintained well facing such problems.
Thank you guys for your help.
P.S. Service center guys also wanted to change the relay which actually didn't have any problem at all.
