Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey guys, I'm using Fuelly, currently at 9700kms.
I have an overall fuel efficiency of 28kpl. At this past service at 9450kms, changed the fuel filter, oil filter and air filter as well.
The consumption still has not changed. It's still at 29kpls. What could the problem be? This is like 600cc fuel consumption at a third of the engine capacity.
Is it carb tuning? The bike doesn't idle too easy when cold but after warming a bit it's okay.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yesterday i went on a ride of 280kms(single side)on my ns200, during that ride i noticed sudden lag whenever i reduce the throttle and increase it im feeling lag to getting the power up. This only happens in highspeed of over 60kmph. Every ns200 behaves like this or my ns has some problem? Need ur opinions
My ns200 is new and only ran 8k kms

Not a matter of concern unless it is adversely affecting safety.Originally posted by Vishnujithr View PostYesterday i went on a ride of 280kms(single side)on my ns200, during that ride i noticed sudden lag whenever i reduce the throttle and increase it im feeling lag to getting the power up. Cause all carburetors are prone to lag a bit based on type and operation.
P.S. This is with the assumption that you're on top of duly replacing consumables.Motorcycling Experience:

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
BS4 NS200 have problems to a certain extent . Comparative to previous generation NS200 the BS4 version has a lot more complaints . But there isn't any specific parts failure it'll depend on the bike you buy . If your lucky you might not get any problem ,it your unlucky every part will start to give up.Originally posted by Vyshakh View PostIs there any engine issues or major complaints in new BS4 NS when compared to the old NS.
Is there any difference in camshaft and rocker arm in new NS?
one mechanic told me that "There are some major issues like premature wear of engine parts. And to solve that we need to replace the factory fitted parts like rocker arm,cam shaft with the same of old NS".
He also said that we need to delete the egr in new NS. Also added that there are carburettor issues like premature diaphragm wear. It will worn out in just 10k kilometres in new NS.
He claims that doing all these will improve fuel efficiency and power.
Is that claims are true?. expecting valuable replies from experienced owners
Thanks in advance 🤞
I am currently facing this issues , my bike is has done 9400kms and already the SVC has screwed up the bike real bad. I have mileage issues , they burnt my clutch plate and replaced it at 9000 kms , I have pick up issues and the list goes on .

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
There are certain BS4 NS200 with mileage issues . They are factory defects but Bajaj is not gonna accept it or do anything about it ( trust me I tried for 1 year , they ended up screwing my bike even more ) .Originally posted by ThePossum View PostHey guys, I'm using Fuelly, currently at 9700kms.

My advice find a mechanic you can trust in one of the local mechanic shops , don't give for free services in the SVC . And if your lucky your problem might get solved by your local mechanic.
Ps -Do not trust what the SVC guys say , they are just bunch of unqualified crooks !
Do update your status cause even I am facing the same issues , on June 4th I am leaving my bike for service with my trusted local mechanic I'll let you know what he saysLast edited by abhijithpreddy; 06-03-2018, 09:04 AM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I'm looking forward to buying a bike next month. And I've been doing research in this regard for months. Now, issues like these actually hold me back from buying the NS 200. I guess, I'd be better off with the Apache RTR 200 4VOriginally posted by abhijithpreddy View PostBS4 NS200 have problems to a certain extent . Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The NS200 is not a bad bike infact the factory defect bikes are rare .Originally posted by imshivs7 View PostI'm looking forward to buying a bike next month. The biggest and the main problem is the SVC , their first 2 service is enough to screw your bike so bad you'll end up regretting buying the bike . It's 95% SVC fault and 5 % bike fault .
I know guys who bought NS200 BS4 with me and enjoying it with good mileage and pickup . If you don't care about warranty and First 3 free services then book the bike tell them you want to choose the bike and pick one from their godown and test ride properly , do all the pre checks thoroughly and service it with local mechanics you trust and know well .
you would definitely have a good bike then .

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
If you the budget to get the FI and are willing to wait for the ABS, then the RTR maybe a better option. I've heard good reviews about it. Haven't rode one yet. Haven't read their ownership thread. But FI with ABS is not badOriginally posted by imshivs7 View PostI'm looking forward to buying a bike next month. And I've been doing research in this regard for months. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hiya guys,
Time to change the footwear on my 2012 200 NS. Currently she is riding on:
Rear: MRF Revz-Y 140/60 R17
Front: MRF Zapper FX1 stock size - I am ok with this tire, perhaps will get this again.
I am planning to get back to the stock size for the rear i.e. 130/70 R17. What would be your recommendations?
MRF has REVZ-S in the stock size for the rear, I believe this should be the safest option.
I've read good reviews on the Masseter, but they are 140. any other options you can recommend?
Another thing, I want to change my handle bar grips, they're become too hard and slippery. Any pointers here would also be appreciated.
Do we have any aftermarket solutions or I need to pop in to my local Bajaj dealer to get replacements?
ThanksLast edited by hirenmistry; 06-04-2018, 07:46 PM.All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Is it normal to have bubbles in engine oil after riding the bike for 20 mins ( 5km )?
Just returned from a 2 day trip, covering 700 km including some distance in hilly area ( background in case it is not normal )
Bike details:
4yr old bike
Motul 7100 Engine Oil
Serviced 2 months back, and ridden 1000+ km since last service.
Total distance travelled 18000+ km
Everything else is stock

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I did not pay attention to this, but on uneven surface ( like uneven layer of tar on road, or repaired pothole with patch) front half of the bike gets imbalanced and handles very stiff like a boat, On even slightly wet road, I find it difficult to turn right and feels like my front right fork is little lower as compared to front right and if I try to accelerate little fast my rear tyre feels like skidding to left of the bike, not sure if I am able to describe clearly.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostHow does the motorcycle respond when you counter steer?
