I could only reach 128 kph and nothing more with full throttle on a wide open road. I'm 90Kg. It all depends.
But 140+ on speedo though with speedo errors is still freaking thrilling...

Bro wind also play important role. If there is little wind flow it will easily attain good high speed. On a windy day with pillion it was very hard to go more than 120 kmph.135km achieved with straight sitting. If you want more than you have to bend as close to the tank.

        • Tachometer Glass broken

          Hi guys,
I have been owner of pulsar 200ns since 2014. I have been a silent visitor to xbhp for quite a long. Now coming to problem my tachometer glass has broken and the service center executive said that whole Speedometer assembly needs to be replaced. I had my concerns over that as it costs apparently 3000 Rs for new assembly. So my doubt is whether I have to change the whole assembly or just the covering is available for the same. Can any of you folks shed a light on this matter.
          Thank in advance.

Wasn't the fastest ever, but I managed to record this on video...

            • Pulsar 200ns power loss!

Hello fellow bhpians! I own a 2014 puslar 200ns which has run 26000kms. I'm facing with a new problem from quite a while now. The bike isn't delivering enough power. Only after I go up-to 7500 or 8000rpm, the bike goes like its ass is on fire. But until this rpm, it's way too slow. What do you guys think the problem is? The clutch plates? Or the carb? I change engine oil from time to time and I use motul7100 20W50 only! Spark plugs have been replaced. Chain sprocket changed twice. What do you guys think?

Gotta same problem. Feels like throttle got stuck in 7-8K RPM for a while then sonic boom.Changed air filter, spark plug and fuel filter but not a huge difference. I think carb cleaning is only option left in me.

I'm not sure if you have this over where you are, but I've got very good experience with the Pirelli Angel CT tires on my 200ns. I was previously using the Michelin Pilot Streets (which replaced the stock Eurogrip tires), and actually liked the Pirelli's better.

I wrote about my experience with the Pirelli Angel CT here:
My set of Michelin Pilot Streets have done some 17,000km’s, including the horrible roads during my SE Asia tour. The ultra uneven Asian road surfaces that I’ve travelled on has taken it’s toll on t…

                        • Cleaned my chain.

Did my first self chain service. It did not become spick and span as I intended, so would increase the frequency of cleaning till it looks like new. Checked the sprocket, it seemed good with no broken or damaged teeth.

                          After Cleaning.

I was planning on using wd-40, but later zeroed in on kerosene after reading a lot of reviews. Almost all the reviews claimed both to be same and nearly yielded the same results. Plus, kerosene is cheaper than wd-40.

I haven't yet got the center stand due to non-availability in svc's/their unwillingness to sell it to me without installing it. So I checked out some youtube videos and used a carjack to raise the bike a little for free movement of rear wheel. Wanted to take that setup's photo too, but could not because of messy hands.

Only problem faced was cleaning it with water, because of the sari-guard. But somehow managed to clean it using a brush. And used motul chain lube.

Yes, I know my tires are messy, but I was yet to clean them . Currently, trying to figure out a way to stop the dog from pissing on my tires daily. Suggestions are welcomed, provided they are animal friendly.

I had this problem with oil leaking through the boot around the wires coming out from the magneto/alternator side casing.
I sealed it with silicon sealant.
                            Now it doesn't leak.
The trick is to wipe off the oil from the boot and from inside the crack if possible and fill the sealant inside the crack and some around it too.

I am facing low mileage of 25Kmpl on my second hand bought Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. I am sure my riding style is not an issue. I would hardly cross 4.5K RPM in City and would not go above 80Kmph on highways.

Please help me find the issue. The low end torque is also not quite adequate. Morning starts are troublesome. Heats a lot and after heating dies occasionally. Please help me. I am quite new to riding. Not experienced at all. I dont want to get cheated by local mechaninc.

                              Thanks.

Since you got it second hand you donot know when it was last serviced.

1.Clean or replace the air filter

2.Change the oil and oil filter
Motul 5100 15w50 is good to reduce vibrations
If you want better average go for castrol power 1 20w50.

                              3.Check your air fuel mixture.

4.Check if the brakes are jamming or causing drag by rotating the wheels when its on the stand (you may need to service the brake calipers)

I get 52.8 kmpl on my 3 year old NS with mostly double seat highway riding.
