Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Pros: Can't think of anyOriginally posted by Saravanan Murdlock View Posti have found this picture on facebook. i have been using stock headlamp since day one. My odo is 41,300km. As the bike gets older stocklamp became usless. while riding in night i had to put my hand before the lamp to know wheather its glowing or not. iam thinking of changing the whole stock headlight with this kind of numberplate projectors. will it look good on our NS? what are the pros and cons of this setup.
Cons: Can't think of anything else

How much did you get the whole job done for ?Originally posted by rubber_stamp_champ View PostDo not change the entire assembly. You may install a projector with a good throw. I've done it too. The beam is now widespread and looks so damn cool

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Saw a guy ripping his Yellow RS 200 today in bangalore.. Outer ring road before KR puram..
he was almost red lining it in gear 1 and 2.. dont think he s even crossed 1000 km mark on it as yet.. such guys bring a bad name to bikers..
when will the world change i wonder..
Its cause of guys like that, the companys build crappy engines with extra clearance so no one ceases their engine.

Replaced stock clipons with FZS a month ago to improve handling and to reduce overall weight. It did improved the handling but now handlebar is vibrating above 5,000 rpm. i've tried different handlebar ends but no use. what should i do to eliminate the vibrations?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
28000 Km long term review
i will keep it short and sweet.
km 0 - 1200
Bought the ns in feb 2012 After a breakup! Best investment till date. Didnt push the bike till the first 400 Kms. After that my brother and his friends went to agra. On his way back, he rode all the way to 140 Kmph!
back then this bike was a attention grabber. And it returned 35 kmpl.
1st service: All fluids changed. And the bike was a breeze. Fast and sexy.
Km 1201 - 6000
it was time to test its capabilities. So took it to 120+ Speeds many times. Stable was the word. No issues whrsoever. Just a bent disc.
service centre refused to replace free of cost. One complaint to bajaj through their website and in two days dealer replaced the disc. No questions asked an apologies given!
delivered 35-40 Kmpl and was fastest thing on delhi roads! Stable and in control at all times.
service done at 6000 Kms. Replaced all fluids and filters. And it was ready to take on roads.
km 6000 - 11000
now the ns was ready to take on highways. 1st trip was to kiratpur. No vibrations, no signs of stress, no sign of slowing down! Barring the non-highway supporting hard seat, this bike proved to be a missille.
next trip was a result of an emergency call At 3 Am from ludhiana. Left delhi at 3:30, Reached ludhiana at 9 Am. One break. Amazing ride. No stress. No problems.
service done. Again all fluids changed.
km 11000 - 17000
this involved three trips. One to mussoorie, one long trip to kasaul-manali by my brother (offroading too) and other to ludhiana again apart from city driving.
not much to discuss here. Bike didnt show any sign of weakness. Top speed (odo) Achieved was 152 Kmph. For 10 Kms i was above 145 Kmph!!! Audi guy was shocked to see me keep up with him!
solid built. No vibrations. No problems.
service done - All fluids changed. One puncture. No problems.
km 17000 - 21000
now the bike took me to a place which i could never think of going. Thanks to bipin sir, thagraj sir and most of all Hoodibaba (d k pundit sir).
trip to chanshal pass was the highlight. Bike went on and on. Non stop delhi to shimla - Is cakewalk for her. It fell down on her side at descent from chanshal pass. Refused to start. I was scared.
but it's a bajaj right? Started after 2-3 Mins. No sweat.
took on no roads and came back perfect.
major service done - Changed fluids, chain sprocket, Brake pads, leg guard, mirrors.
as good as brand new.
kms 21000 - 26000
nothing to say really. Now i can feel vibrations. Come on. Its almost two yrs old now. Every month there is a trip to chandigarh and ludhiana. But bike didnt ask for anything other than pertol.
changed all fluids and bike was ready to roll.
today she is at 28500 Kms. Still kicks ass and takes me to office in style.
next service - 31000 Kms

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Things to keep in mind
- Always get the bike serviced on time. And use bajaj recommended oil and bajaj service centre.
- Top up engine oil every 1000 Kms. Use same grade. For added reliability, get engine oil replaced every 5000 Kms. This way bike will stay younger.
- Do not push it in city. Dont show off. Use the gt road for testing ur speed.
- This bike can go delhi-shimla and even beyond non stop. Doesnt mean u shud treat it like a donkey. Give her rest every 200 Kms. Its more about u. U also need mental rest every 2 Hours of riding.
- get chain sprockets changed at 20000 Kms. And tyres changed (if u have eurogrip) At 20000 Kms. Both front and rear. I almost paid a price yesterday as i am yet to change front tyre even after 28000 Kms!
- Clean chain with diesel every 500 Kms and use good quality chain lube after that. Get chain tightened after cleaning.
- wash it every week (its a good workout), with clinic plus and spray or throw clean water. Then use microfibre to wipe it dry. After than wax polish it (formula 1) Let it dry for 15 Mins. When wax is white and solid. Use microfibre to scrape it off. If done every week - Ur paint will be new for life!
BUY A GOOD RIDING JACKET, GLOVES, KNEE GUARDS AND HELMET FOR HIGHWAY RIDES.
TRY TO GO IN GROUP OF 3-4,, THIS MAKES SURE PEOPLE TAKE UR RIDE SERIOUSLY AND STAY AWAY OR ALERT WHILE DRIVING NEAR U. NO ONE WANTS TO MESS WITH BIKERS ON A TOUR

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Never use bajaj recommended oil ,always use motul 3100/5100/7100 20w40.
That's it.
I changed to motul on first service ,giving up my warranty, svc guy said sir oil is same ,why give up warranty on such expensive bike ,I said, I will ride while paying in money for parts if they are faulty ,rather than with a warranty and buzzing harsh bike.
It runs equally smooth to r15 now ,even if I don't ride below 7k rpm

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It must be a typo. Use xW50 grade oil. You can use mineral for lifetime but it has a short drain interval. If your running is low, use semi synthetic like Motul 5100. Change oil when bike engine becomes harsh.Originally posted by deep007 View PostRespected anuj gupta .ns need 20w50 please spread some light on this.my bike is covered just 5600 km in 1year and 7 months.can i use mineral oil because my running is low.

Nothing can be done, even i had changed to lesser wide handles for traffic cuttings, but the vibes are unbearable. So i removed itOriginally posted by Saravanan Murdlock View PostReplaced stock clipons with FZS a month ago to improve handling and to reduce overall weight.
