have tightened rest of nuts and bolts wherever i can locate them. still bike has little more than expected vibrations in footpegs.

Vibrations on peg is due to excessive tightening or there's some play in in pegs ( especially between the spacer and the foot peg in that holder )

Check if pegs have some vertical movement ..

I bought it from Amazon fulfilled, You can either wait until it becomes available. It's worth 99/- for sure.

Yeah Both are same, Costs almost the same. But it carries delivery charges. Screw flipkart, forcing users to buy only on APP. How can they expect everyone to switch to data network?. Never going to happen.

I preferred the blue color, because the Bajaj logo in NS console is blue LED, but somehow got red at that time. But that's cool. I actually would have preferred a key chain printed as "pulsar 200NS "

My case:
Ordered Motul very eagerly 5100 4T two bottles. I preferred changing the oil at the nearest bajaj svc itself. He didn't resist, instead warned me that if any overheat indications pop up I should bring the bike back and change the oil. Also he mentioned that not all engines will accept Motul perfectly. To my surprise, after changing the oil, I felt nothing, just nothing. My bike was already doing good in stock oil, very less vibrations at footpegs and esp at top gear anywhere from 55-125(the max i have hit) the vibrations are very less and manageable. After changing to Motul and now ~1000+ KMs done with that, I feel about 10-20% improvement, nothing extraordinary. No problems with gear shifts however. Even though at certain RPMs, the engine sounds harsh, but I dont feel vibrations reaching on my foot pegs or handle bars, but it do on tank, so I will avoid hugging the tank all times.

Sometimes it depends on the way of assembling in plant, more than just maintaining. Because

1. About 6000 KMs in odo, I have done only 2 oil change.
2. Have applied chain lubricants only 2 times during service.
3. Water wash only twice during service, yet no Disc issues on monsoon times.
4. Riding harsh at times, but bike still sticks to perfect idling RPM limit within 1500

All I did was following the manual very close say up to the resolution of 1-2 kph variation, ride very slow in bumps/road undulation and marshy/muddy lands. Rest I did nothing. Don't know, but the bike is really good, even riding >120, feel no vibes but engine harsh sound and wind.

I wouldnt say it's as smooth as my Activa, but not far from the smoothness.
Conclusion from my story is, Motul does not bring surprises or do wonders to every bike as we all expect, I was very disappointed. But it helps a lot to reduce. But engines are unique and not all engines will accept it perfectly. End of the day, we have a single pot and it of course has it's range of vibes

I am having 2 problems.
1)at around 4-4.5 rpm bike makes a strange noise, feels like somewhere in the front fairing.
2)a thud noise from front when hitting pot holes.
Bike is AS200
get all screws/allen bolts tightened in fairing, for the thud noise, there is one big flower nut below the handlebars (i think 24number ) it needs to be tightened . i had same issue and the nut was loose by half turn.

spot on man, i noticed continous tingling vibration on right footpeg only, left footpeg is surprisingly smooth even at 120.so i think i need to get left footpeg fixed as you mentioned, alongwith right footpeg rear brake lever has same kind of annonying vibrations.

this was my main point of concern, vibrations from footpegs.

for rest of bike , tank/handlebar has vibration but the rear seat doesnt have such tingling kind of vibrations.

nice insight, looks like my pulsar doesnt like Motul either. but there arent much options. i never had the High temp light glow till now so i beleive i am not doing much damage to engine. will be buying grip for handlebar and thick boots

Nice decision. I got it in a local shop for just 30/- Red/black for my red/black NS. You can try fixing yourself, it didn't seem a direct fit. You need more torque, put more oil/gel and slide using the help of screw driver. And a gloves of course, you'll appreciate me later how much it dampens the vibes from handbar.

Hi all,

Back after a long time.

Seeing the discussion about key chain. Posting mine as well.I bought for 45rs locally when I bought my ns.
On 1st Jan.
It's become a bit yellow. but I still love it

And for people saying motul didn't bring any change to them.
I changed to motul at 6k Odo currently at 9k odo.
The oil has reduced all the vibrations, smooth gear transition, smooth low end pickups,my bike was happy with bajaj oil but now it's much more happier.
I ride in blore traffic at peak hours I would notice my fan mostly running but now it runs hardly for 5 mins in an hour long traffic ride.
Motul effect only works after around 200km or so.
And always change oil filter at oil change .

Not sure why all this didn't happen to your ns.
And oh Yaa my mileage is up by 2/3 kmpl.

Depends on machine to machine and also the perception of the person .. No offence to anyone but if anyone thinks vibration is due to oil and changing oil will make it vanish then it wont .. To some extent reduce it but wont completely solve it .. For me vibes are same but running on motul or castrol i felt engine was much more calm and stress free in higher revs compared to stock oil ..
If anyone has vibrations on pegs or handlebar or anywhere 1st check the source of vibrations .. Its mostly due to excessive tightening or nut bolts being loose or due to play .. After all this go for oil change and notice difference..

For foot peg in right side vibration.
The main culprit is the brake lever is out of the actual position. krixna had helped me with that. And after correctly positioning lever in that provided socket vibrations in foot peg disappeared.

Most A.S.S are not aware how to adjust brake lever angle and end up removing it from that small extended bit making it rattle a lot.
Vivek yes perception and oil quality we are getting is also a deciding factor.

Let me tell you guys about my experience with bajaj engine oil.Its a 24568 Kms experience

So i had a pulsar 180 14 months old which clocked for almost 24568 kms.I never switched to motul until i sold it.I think dtsi is a decent oil, specially the price.Yes it does start to wear out after 1600-1800Kms and you can feel it.But what motul does is it really protects your engine. The chemicals work wonders. It protects engine very wel..
However this doesnt mean Dtsi doesnt protect.heck i had the same engine sound till 25K odd Kms as much as day 1.But its also a brilliant oil and i had zero probs with it.Only thing is engine becomes harsh from 1800kms until you change it.But cant complain much as its cheap,if not one of the cheapest.
Motul i would say i really dont want to switch to,but then i know i will.I am happy with Dtsi but as he says in above post With Motul Engine will be even more happier :-)

I feel cheated bro , for half of the price. That's fine. Well, blue is even better.

To me mileage difference remains the same, mostly 36-38kmpl. Did 185KM trip on NH, mostly speeds upwards of 95+kph and many times @110 kph steady. I got ~36 as return.

I can feel some reduction in engine harshness esp at 4-5k rpm in lower gears. But that's fine, I dont complain. If I need a perfect vibe-free ride, I'd have to stay with my Activa or buy a twin-cylinder and stop complaining

I referred to engine smoothness rather than vibration, as I almost run with less vibes. Just happy with what I've got. By the way, well explained
