I always changed to Motul engine oil after a 1000km ride on DTSi oil post servicing. No issues yet.

Warranty issues shouldnt be there if you keep this small secret all to yourselves . The SVC guys will not even notice the difference no matter which oil you use.

I calculate my service intervals not in kms but in months because i am only able to ride it around 600 kms a month. I service my bike every 3-4 months.

could you please tell me if you use Motul 5100 or motul 7100 post 1000kms? I ask this since motul 5100 is semi-synthetic and Motul 7100 is fully synthetic.

I have been using mineral since the beginning. Right now am at 6900 km on ODO but will be switching to FS Motul 7100 20W50 in my next service which should be around 7500 km. The SVC that i go stock Motul 7100 20W50 hence no worries of warrenty getting void. They svc the Duke 200 as well hence they stock both 7100 FS and DTSi.

            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Could any let me know the cost for 4th service (paid). If i go for the 7100 FS oil what will the total cost including labour. I also have to get the tappets adjusted there is the typical tik tik noise coming from the engine. + the front right indicator not working (thanks to a DIY that i did). Other than this no other major issues?

Need to plan my budget accordingly hence please reply. rough idea i am assuming around 2.5 k is it correct ?

I had visited Suman Bajaj too at the time of 2nd service. Yes they are good but one thing i noticed that they were servicing NS with other lower CC bikes not in probiking section which i cant understand as i had seen other service centers which had probiking section service NS there.

Yes, I know. It's weird man and pissed me off at first. They have no room for the NS in their pro biking section, but they'd service the old Pulsar200s, Pulsar220s(non faired) & Avengers over there.. and ofc Dukes, Ninjas and 220Fs are their priorities in probiking section. When I asked few service men why NS is serviced down in the basement along with other low end bikes and not in the Pro Biking room, they said the Manager declared it at the time of NS' release so we can't do anything about it. Somebody stated the main rason being that NS isn't a flagship model from Bajaj. I've never talked to the Manager personally myself. But the difference here is that they try to give full attention and care to each NS being serviced down there. It is treated very well, almost like a Duke is, your complaints and queries are taken seriously if you talk to the right person. The biggest drawback for NS being serviced down in basement and not probiking section is that.. due to the number of low end bikes there is too much rush down there, like a fish market. Whereas things are calm and peaceful in probiking section.

Which is the best rear tyre for our NS?

                    Must be Grippy
                    Good in Corners
                    Shouldnt affect mileage

Its hard to manage with Stock Euro Grip tyres in chennai roads...
Getting skid cos of sandy roads...

The eurogrips are not good enough provided that the brakes are really good and have good stopping power on this mean machine. It gives up if there is little sand in the road, you feel that your tyre is going to skid when you slant the bike even under normal speeds if there is little sand in the road. Yesterday I had a panic braking situation and the tyre just skidded. I also want to change the stock eurogrips, I would change it to mrf revz-s the one on the R15v2 on the rear and zapper fx (fz front) on the front. They are of the same size as the stock eurogrips. Can anyone from trivandrum suggest where can I get a good deal on the stock tyres which is 801 kms old, only 3 weeks.

                          • Full clutch hurts on pulsar 200NS

                            Hi,

Firstly would like to say if you get your pulsar200ns from showroom with full clutch settings.
Please ask them to make it half clutch or your left hand is going to go for a toss.

Got my monster yesterday and feeling ailment on my left ankle as the clutch is too far and hurts with each time you operate.

Can someone tell procedure or post a video how to adjust clutch manually on NS.

                            Thanks

All are aware of doing it...
Even you can replace the brake lines on your own and bleed it..

bleeding needs time and perfection... All mech can do them...
But make sure he is a expert on handling disc brakes...
