Can you elaborate on the noises from the engine?
And I didn't know 4 valve engine makes a characteristic sound!
This is interesting. No wonder stuff like oil filter are so gracefully offered out of the KTM package!Originally posted by Rahulbarik View PostActually there is more similarity than just the displacement and gearbox... most off tye stuffs are same....
i know this coz i was an emoloyee of a ktm showroom for 2 months and investigated a lot of similarities... just check the part numbers from ns and duke if you ever come accross and both are same.... the funny thing is that the same parts costs more in a ktm package while costing lesser in a bajaj packing... :-P so now my friends have started buying spares from bajaj and fitting tyem in their dukes
who will pay more :sly::sly:

You mean to say, your neighbors are gonna KICK you for it. . ?Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostSince you said you wanted KTM sound, I assumed you're looking for that exhaust system.
Then my friend, you'll have a very loud bike. But definitely not the KTM sound. All the best.
P.S your neighbors are gonna love you for it.
Cheers!!!

3. Since you live in Bangalore, try JC road, 'Let's Gear Up'. Look for Spartan helios to begin with. Should cost around 6k.
Btw aren't you part of NakedWolves Bangalore?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Very valuable thread. I am glad to say that I enjoy following this thread. Loads of good info on the bike. I see a lot of people asking for price of the parts. Here is the pricing for each and every part of NS. In total 10 JPEG files. The parts start and end with the prefixes JG to JL as shown in the first pic:
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Can somebody say how to upload the full quality image so that it can be downloaded by anybody off this page.

Could you possibly give us some more insight into this? Might help a lot of Duke200/P200NS owners.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View PostActually there is more similarity than just the displacement and gearbox... most off tye stuffs are same....

Do join them. They are a nice group of safe riders. Most members got together via xbhp. I'm 150 kms away from your city, yet keep joining them a few times.Originally posted by Ashu_NS View PostThanks Suraj/PrinceSirohi/Aditya

Your run-in is done. Ride however you want, how much ever you want. Majority of the engine's settling in process is finished. NS can bear 1000 km days easily man.
Call me lazy but can you help me find the price for the drive chain and the front sprocket separately?Originally posted by whattodo??..broooommm!!! View PostHere is the pricing for each and every part of NS.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Maybe you didn't find it separately for front sprocket coz it comes in a set with the rear one too I think.
Edit: Has anyone installed P220's self cancelling indicators? Can it be done? If yes, cost please.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Did you check the brake light switch?Originally posted by NitSpeed200 View PostGuys my rear brake pedal lowering seems to be a flop!!!now the rear brake light does not go off!!!definitely will have to consult my mechanic.any suggestions ??My DIY(s) - Sprocket bearing change | Paint job | Custom speedo dial
Getting angry at somebody is the same as getting angry with a bike that just won't go. You should stop and start thinking.
A good mechanic will let you watch even without charging you for it. |
It is funny to know that we've been imitated and copied so well and surprising when we notice our mistakes are copied as well.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
yesterday i filled up 2 liters of petrol and completed 131 kms on highway including around 3 kms of potholes road. I measured this by Reserve to Reserve method. Many says that Res. to Res. method is not accurate than also lets assume it shows around 55-60 kmpl and that is amazing. Speed kept between 65-75 kph only. No hard braking and single rider only. Tire pressure front 25 and rear 30. Running on stock tires and Bajaj Oil. 4800kms on Odo.
Than while returning back. I filled up 4.81 liters of petrol and completed 242 kms. Which is most on highway and include around 10 kms potholes and around 30 kms city traffic riding. this shows 50 kmpl. Again speed between 65-75 kph.
Amazing Bajaj.
