I removed the mud guard on my NS and the bike looks stunning! But recently Bangalore has been receiving a lot of downpour and all the water just splashes onto my back. I was wondering if the people at SVC would fit a mudguard like that on the 200AS. Any idea if it can happen?

Hey guys just a crazy insane thought but just wanna know the consequences, Like what if i make a small mod so as to keep the fan running when the engine is turned on and only get off when the engine is turned off ?
will it affect in any way if yes then what all are they ?

Having your cooling fans running all the time that could prove costly.

            • The battery service life is shortened because the battery is meant to store electrical energy that is used when the engine is not running. When the cooling fans run all time they always drain voltage from the battery as it is charged. This stresses the battery and makes it weaker and weaker.

            • The cooling fans too are stressed by the constant running. It wears out the contact brushes and the over-heating of the fan armature which sometimes leads to burning of the field windings.

            • Over-cooling an engine may be bad because there is no room or allowance for expansion which results into great wear of, most especially, the engine block and piston rings.

If your cooling fans are running all time when you turn on the ignition switch then you need to fix it very fast. If not, you could be buying a battery in the next few months.

Even i had the same buzzing vibration in Handlebars after first service, thanks for pointing it out that it is due to Tight chain. There isnt any slack whatsoever in the chain.

In our specific bike, the slack should be somewhat like this: At the middle point of the bottom part of chain, keep two fingers below the chain. Push it up lightly: it should not touch the rubber pad on the bottom of swingarm. Push it up with medium strength: it should touch the pad

If it touches when you push up lightly, chain is loose. If you cannot make it touch when you push it up with medium strength, it is tight. If you cannot make it touch on that rubber pad however hard you try, it is damn tight!

                    First try this
Dip a clean cloth in petrol and wipe both sides of the disc. Repeat. Wipe with a clean dry cloth. See if brake improves. Else, take it to a mechanic.

If the disk pads have come to it's limit, you might have to change it. If the pads have life in it, remove the disk pads and rub it with sandpaper.

Actually the chain adjuster on ns arnt that good .. i still feel the old school chain adjustment is the best ..
In my case either the chain is too tight or too loose if i keep the same readings on adjuster on both side .. also the bike sways a lot ....
But if keep the reading one below on the right side the bike goes straight as an arrow ..

Anyways i got hit by a signal jumper yest night ..
rhs passenger and brake footpegs gone .. leg guard changed its shape to square and the tail panel turned black from blue and bent rhs clipon ...
Down with swollen right knee and few scrapes both hands and slightly swollen neck ..
helmet saved me as i flung of the bike and landed straight on head on tarmac .. knee guards shattered to pieces ..

The stock on 200ns looks very good compared with AS200, I wonder how you are impressed to the traditional pulsar style?. At first I thought removing might make it look more aggressive, but I feel so glad\proud\happy on monsoon days unlike other bikes, that my bike does not splash\spray water over the traffic behind me, a small favor to other people who drive behind me

Yes. The stock guard really works well for other vehicles behind you . It's same with duke\R15 (but still better), I like these types...

But Im interested in AS200 visor.... DIY
                          Skeptical to start myself
                          Anybody has tried?.....!!!

No bro i was waiting for signal to go green and this blind guy who was on new 220 decided to jump signal as there was less traffic ahead cloud not get proper judgment and i was the one to suffer with him ..

There has a discussion going on recently about the "new" weight of the 200NS. According to several rumours/sources the NS has gained about 8kg with time. The first models were 145kg while the current ones are apprently 153kg. Is this true?? How is this possible?? What might the cause and also will it affect the performance in any way??
