Actually I agree here.. Why get so fussy about the fan not working.. And moreover, you could have just gone for a long ride for abt 20kms some of it being in traffic and it would have clicked.. Rather than revving it so much.. Theres a very rare chance of the fan being faulty in a new bike.. Also the coolant will leak if the opening of the drainage pipe is lying towards the floor. That is bcoz when the engine is hot, the coolant expands causing leakage.. Put that pipe upwards and the issue shud be sorted.. Last but not the least.. Do not worry after all that has happened with ur bike.. This bike is designed to be revved hard and nothing will go wrong.. Just do your usual maintainence properly..

I went for a long 100km highway ride with 300km on the odo. (Realized that it requires some patience to ride on a highway at 40-50 with 23bhp btw your legs). Well, the fan did not turn on even once! The logic is, the engine was btw 3-4K rpm only. And the wind blowing on the radiator at 40kmph is stronger than the fan! Only in city rides, at lower speeds/lower gears/higher rpms, it used to turn on. Same now with 4K on the odo.

Note: at RPMs above 6K, I have no idea if the fan turns on or not bcoz can't feel or hear it

For people who really care to see if the fan is working I can post a video of installing a small LED on the dash which will glow when the fan works (without any wire cutting) This will give mental satisfaction and peace to those who are very worried about fan

There is no need for LED indicator for working of cooling fan. Its runs louder, U can hear the sound of it while riding if fan kicks in

Completed 30k on ODO. Would like to replace the stock bulb with Osram - H4 Night Breaker Plus - 12V 60/55W Bulb. Will it be a direct fit for our NS?

Did you buy online or in a local shop?. What is the cost?. How much does it improve in throw?. Also is it worth changing without letting the SVC guys identifying to prevent from voiding the warranty?. And finally to DIY mod, do I need anything other than the Bajaj provided tool set?.

that's quite true. Esp when I cruise >125kmph (tried only few times), I use to feel a sudden gust of hot air blowing on my legs and within a short span of time, the fan sounds louder enough to please your ears beyond the engine and air sound

Never bothered about these when riding

                        >RevLimit\Fuel empty LED (Rev limit indication works, but Fuel empty or on reserve indicator never worked in all these months )
                        >Fuel indicator (It has it's own mind )
                        >Clock (that runs very slow, have to adjust once every 4 days or so)

Warranty is not affected as long as you don't cut wires and change wattage of the bulb. You can use any 60/55W bulb of your choice.

Same goes for Me... I hardly had seen the Radiator fan in operation. Most of the time I can just smell like a Metal heating...

And you too Have Noticed the clock LOL . That thing Has slowed down by 20 Mins in six Months

Fuel Indicator shows depending on the standing position of the bike . I Never trust that thing

REV Limiter works fine though.. Kicks in around 9500+RPM range

yeah, but I've always wondered why the fuel indicator LED (Combined with rev limit indication) doesn't work even when my bike is out of fuel in main tank.. Not even once....!!! Pheew...!!!! Though it's not that useful unlike say a gear indicator, but still then, good to have. And for the lazy clock, if left unchecked for a month, it would end up running late by more than 10-mins.
Still 20 mins in 6 months is not bad, considering my PC RTC gets about 11 mins accuracy in one year LoL
