    Thanks anyway.
Nah bro... That Icon Will surely blink once ur Petrol in the Indicator reaches below 2 points. I always put petrol only for 100 rupees. So I have seen that thing blinking

If the value in the Fuel indicator drops from 1 point to zero point then the bike can still go for 12 - 20Kms depending upon the driving conditions....

FYI : I will topup petrol for 100 rupees, will wait until it hits reserve then again for 100 rupees. Petrol for 100 rupee will give around 2 points in the Fuel indicator

Last time i went to ktm svc and told him to set to stiffer side (ie. revert to factory setting, 1st notch).
And after that i felt the ride quality very poor, i rode on that setting for abt 200 kms and it felt very much harsh to ride with that.
Felt that i am riding without suspension, the height was lowered too, felt as if the bike stalled at one place.
Now, i again changed the setting to the 3rd notch, and it feels better, but this time softer, and lost stabilty!
What could be the problem? Is there any problem with the monoshock?

NS normally has a Harder suspension compared to other bikes... Harder/Stiff suspensions will increase the stability and cornering ability of the bike. I drove using the factory setting upto 3.5K, For last 500 Kms it's one notch softer than the Factory setting, this has reduced the stability at speeds above 90+

Stability and Softness is a tradeoff. U can Have anyone of these only... :P

I myself like harder suspension, but the problem is that there is no redamping of the suspension.
It's like the suspension is not giving any response.
Currently the setting is softer-->ride height is normal-->redamping is present-->but low stabilty at high speeds.
On the other hand, if it is set to factory setting--> ride height tremendously went down--> No redamping, feels like some 1000 kg weight is kept on the bike.
Moreover the current monoshock unit was replaced earlier under warranty. I doubt its quality is not proper cuz normally replacement parts are refurbised ones.
      What could be the issue?

At stiffest setting height should be maximum

installed rim tapes without centre stand. tilting the bike on side stand will pick up rear wheel and then you can do the needful.
I would advise not to tilt the bike on your side stand. I also got the rim taoe installed by tilting the bike on side stand, and actually on many occasions I tilted my bike on side stand.
Result was that the hole through which the screw for aide stand goes go bent by a very little angle, and thus I faced a lot of problem in getting the center stand installed.
But again it would matter only if you plan to get a center stand installed, otherwise it would be fine I guess. I posted a post regarding this with pictures a few weeks back.

There is one more shop which quoted 200 bucks less than this guy for 150/60 - 100/70 pair (for 130/60 - 100/70 pair it was almost same in both shops). It was something "Manu Traders" or something like that. From above mentioned 2nd signal take left and on the right side of the road just before big CEAT tire shop this is located. But dunno how much he charges for fitting (the one I bought from took 300 bucks).

                So I got 150/60 + 110/70 pair at 9200/- + 300/- for fitting = 9500/-

Of coarse after changing to new tires the change would be significant just because the older tires have lost the grip big time. But still:
                • Michelin tires are way too better than EuroSlip tires. Bike is more nimble (contrary to my expectations with wider tires).
                • A little more drag on throttle at low rpms. But improved traction.
                • Evaluating effect on Milage. So far it doesn't seem to be significant, if at all any.
                • But the confidence the tires give is awsome. The EuroSlip tires would stop giving feedback after 50-60kmph and on sand and I would feel like floating. But these tires are much more sure-footed.
                • Breaking is improves so much. I am still in run-in period so not pushing them too hard.
                • Wet grip it to be seen, its been dry so far in BLR. Also the ride has become little more comfortable as shocks are reduced.
                • Feels a little weird for 1-2 days but then you get used to it.

Its not bumpy. Even at 45psi, it was not bumpy at all. Well currently its 30-36psi. I would try 30-38psi next.
Have you exchange your old tyre? Or you keep it with u

For the stock size pair for same michelin tires cost was 9000/-. This is at JC Road Bangalore.

Pirelli Sports Demon in stock size for 200NS was quoted 9000-10000/- by 2 dealers.

MRF Revz 150/60 rear tire cost lowest I saw is 4500/-

I would say MRF would be best for 6-7000/- budget. This time I wanted to get the feel of what good grip means, so went for Michelin (this is my first bike).

                  Het thanks for the reply.

So the Michelin tires say "for max load of 280kg tire pressure 41psi" both front and rear tires. As both tires have same specs I am thinking, the load is the load on the individual tire and not the full load of the bike. But What is the division of load for 200NS between front and rear tire?? My friend who used to work iin TVS tires, says its 1:2.

MY guesstimate is for 300kg max weight of 200NS it should be like 100kg front and 200kg rear. But then is the relation between load and tire pressure linear?? (280:41=? 140:20.5) It will not be linear for sure.

I think 30psi front and 36-38psi for rear seems alright.
Hi do you fit the tyre with tyre hugger? Or it should be removed?

No need to remove tire hugger. 200NS can take 150section tire without any mod necessary.

Also I did not exchange the tires or kept with me. They were 25k kms old so basically were totally useless.

Also I am got around 140km in 4 lit petrol with new tires. MY bikes milage has been swaying between 32 and 39kmpl in past few weeks (variable Bangalore traffic and issues with rear tire due to frequent punctures). So its difficult to say exact effect of new tires but I would say to my best judgement that its no more than 1/2 kmpl on negative side. I am using 36psi tire pressure. Next I will try with little higher pressure. Again I am not expecting any big surprize. But 35kmpl in peak summer time in Bangalore traffic with last service done 6months/5000kms ago, I think, compares well with 40kmpl that I used to get in best of the situations.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

I had been to Bajaj showroom to book a NS and they said that NS production has been stopped and its now replaced by AS200 wtf!!
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Maybe I have to temporary get a centre stand because these paddock stand starts from a range of 2.5k rs if I am right!
