My suggestion would be to find a good SVC.

left a email to bajaj customer care about the same and got a call today, he repeated the same thing. DTSi engine oil should be used else warranty stands cancelled, they dont trust Motul or any other engine oil, their logic is we pay one crore to our engineer (??) and hence our Oil is good for 10k kms and better than Motul.

i will try in another service centre. This Idea to force sub-standard oil down my Throat is not what i like .strangely he said we track xbhp and no one has any complaint about dtsi engine oil.

See dtsi oil is only good upto 1500kms that to if you ride it sedately
Strange i used motul and castrol in svc while changing oil none of them created any issue ..
You should have asked why then dukes use motul and not bajaj crap !?
As far as monitoring is considered i guess they do so because they started using mrf rear and front exactly the same model that was discussed as vfm tyre setup for ns ..
But they left out bajaj oil controversy 😂😂😂😂

valid point. i guess this oil pushing is to make more bucks out from the Owner.

If you are above 1500KMs, try start shifting ~500 RPM in increments every 200Kms. So by 2000KM, you should be able to completely break your engine. I personally started ripping post 2500KMs.
Thanks .that's how mn following it .sorry I shift at 5000rpm.but i have seen one thing .I can see that when the bike was new the pickup was huge but now post 1300 kms I see its bit less.probably you can see torque has become less.why is it so?I remebr the bike pulling from 35 in 5th gear at huge torque but now I feel its a bit less, specially when there is pillon.why is it so?

I have ordered 2 Motul 5100 4T 15W50 engine oil bottles from amazon.in for a cost of 610/- per bottle with shipping charges of ~140/-.
I live in Chennai, and I cant source it near by. I checked with bloody Khivraj, hell they refused and arrogantly said it'd void the warranty. However, when I checked with another small but authorized service station, they assured, that it can be kept out of warranty issues. That encouraged me to change projectors and adding additional horns. Well, should I get it in another 3 days, I can try that over next weekend. Im eagerly waiting to see how much it helps with the smoothness. Bajaj stock oil is okay, and I cant tell until I get an experience with the motul. Let's see

If the SVC fails to do this, then better do it our self.

With pillion, you surely can feel the drag. Especially when you have someone about 70+Kgs on your back.

Do you keep checking your RPM Vs Speed ratio?. I mean, keep a track of what speed @ specific RPM once in a week. For example, I would keep an eye say in 6th gear @4200 RPM, the speed wouldbe ~60kph and at 5200RPM, the speed wouldbe 80kph and so on.

Ya I keep a track.also I was riding single and speed was good,I mean how it should be.but when pillon sits pickup decreases for sure.weight is 48 KGS.I mean i have to downshift more often.however when the bike was new its torque was very high but after 1300 kms it may be 90% of the original but is it how it is after runnin.I mean I don't get the sudden pull.and I follow the rpm rule and speed is always constant .
BTW it feels sluggish only when with a pillon.
So is it all playing in my mind or that's how a bike acts once you comppete almost 1300kms coz m comparing with everything when it was new

                        Hi,
Get this tool and change the engine oil yourself. It's the easiest thing you can do on your bike, although you may think otherwise. I'm an IT professional and if I can do it, anyone can do.
BTW there might be tools given with bike but I found it difficult to operate with it.
I was using bajaj oil up until 4500km. It was not a pleasant experience until then. Svc will tell you to use bajaj oil only otherwise warranty is gone etc until 9000kms I think, until free service, so you will go to them only to avail free service and your only option left is to buy their oil.
So I suggest to change oil if you feel like. Motul and bajaj are made for each other. Only you have to make a choice. If there is little leakage it's the issue with the bike, not the oil, motul is a great oil, even it smells and feels great.
Now 5100 will give smoother gear shifting, vibeless ride. They are like the perfect couple. Yamaha uses this oil in the name of Yamalube in their bikes like FZ, etc.
I guess if you feel like better acceleration, performance choose 7100, this will give same good properties as 5100 also.
If you want more performance than 7100 then choose 300v. Even in label on the bottle, it's written as power and protection.

If you find oil leak while using any of these, you can identify if it's coming under the engine and change the gasket from any svc. Oil leak might happen if you choose fully synthetic like 7100, 300v.
                        I used 5100 from 4500km to 7500kms then changed to 7100, then I changed to 300v at 9500kms.
I changed back to 5100kms and I changed it myself. Now I'm kinda running on a mix. 1 litre 5100 and remaining 300v.
My suggestion is this, buy 5100 only for now and change the oil yourself. Watch videos of the same, there are many.

                            Hello all,

my bike AS 200 has done 1800km. on checking the Oil level i can see that there are some bubbles making a top layer over the oil. Is this OK?
Oil was changed during first service at SVC at 500KM, though they put some dirty oil from opened cans. im not too sure about their genuineness.

Is this OK or do i need to change the oil? I was planing to change oil and already bought one can of motul 3000 and one can of motul 3100 for the oil change.
In case i do need to change the oil, do i change the oil filter too? or is it not required. It was changed during first service at 500KM.

Change oil filter at every oil change.
Bajaj oil should be fine till run-in atleast.
And if can hold the urge wait till 5k km.
I suggest get 2 bottles of the same oil. As u will need 1.2 liters avoid mixing.

Put bike on center stand overnight and see the level. And little bubble layer is fine.

Hi. I'm thinking about going on long rides now, so I have to find ways to attach mounts for gps and charger. Has anyone done these mods? If yes, how? I ask this because I don't see any space on the handle to get anything attached.

                                Thanks in advance.
