Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Sorry for the late reply. The bike seems to be better. This is an awesome bike! I dont know if it is me getting used to it or getting my worries cleared here. I got it for 80,000Rs. The bike is smooth and effortless at 80. However, the low pressure engine oil light comes on beyond 50kmph and stays on until you get into city traffic. This has been happening for a week now. Maybe the bike needs an engine oil top up?Originally posted by jbm_guy View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi friends, planning to switch to Motul for a try. Why?, simply I'm bored.
I dont have any prob with stock oil, but would like to see how better the smoothness is. For smoothness I'm thinking about Motul 5100 15W50, I prefer smoothness than acceleration. And I hope I will need two bottles, in amazon.in it costs ~650/- Rs per bottle. Is this the right cost?. Whilst changing should I change the oil filter too?. I recently did change in my second service ~2 months back. And motul 5100 users, how was the initial experience after changing it?, pls share, I can watch out for surprises. While I can see flock of threads regarding this, I'd like to know the engine experience and behavior with the new batches esp.
Thanks.

Its always recommended to change the oil filter at the time of engine oil change.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostHi friends, planning to switch to Motul for a try. Why?, simply I'm bored.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bajaj Quality is, well.. Bajaj quality. Replacement of parts is frequent as compared to the International brands, but i don't really find it to be a problem because the parts are cheap. Btw NS has the best quality when compared to the previous Pulsars.Originally posted by Harry J View Postpillion grab rail is not good in RS in my opinion..I'm concerned about Bajaj quality and pillion comfort in NS for city rides..( no long rides)
Pillion comfort is Good in NS, the seat is big enough to accumulate an average/above average build person, though it might be a little on the harder side, but a little bit of extra cushioning would make it a very decent pillion seat.
650/- is a bit on the higher side. Last time i had bought it for 500/- in local store Bangalore. Though its hard to find it these days.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostHi friends, planning to switch to Motul for a try. Why?, simply I'm bored.

5100 is pretty good for sane riding, 7100 would be preferred if you like to ride hard. It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

So where is the exact difference between Bajaj stock oil and motul.ride wise, acceleration etc.I see a lot of people complaining Bajaj oil that its crap, never mentioning how its crap .and what difference does it makes between the stock oil?Originally posted by Sal View PostBajaj Quality is, well.. Wheb i was on stock oil it would lose its viscosity and turn blackish in just 1500 kms .. Past that ride become rough vibey and noisy to some extent .. Engine felt its been chocked in longer runs
On motul oil everything's is opposite of stock oil ..

See the difference between a hig grade good oil is thatOriginally posted by xplod566 View PostSo where is the exact difference between Bajaj stock oil and motul.ride wise, acceleration etc.I see a lot of people complaining Bajaj oil that its crap, never mentioning how its crap .and what difference does it makes between the stock oil?

1) It last longs, for more km. but still gives you good engine efficiency
2)You will feel difference between acceleration also.Acceleration becomes quick also quite.
3) Basically oil should maintain its consitency while running a bile for longer Time when it heats up.
i have not personally tried motul in pulsar as my bike is new also its just had undergone one servicing, but i have used motul5100 in honda while replacing honda oil and i surely felt the difference. if there was no warranty loss issues with bajaj i would love to put motul 7100 in my pulsar ns

I was using the stock oil till 13 K kms. its been 3 K kms in Motul 5100.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostSo where is the exact difference between Bajaj stock oil and motul.ride wise, acceleration etc.I see a lot of people complaining Bajaj oil that its crap, never mentioning how its crap .and what difference does it makes between the stock oil?

My observations
reduced vibrations
engine feels more smooth
has higher drain interval
the downside is
expensive
reduced mileage (could be only in my case, request other users to confirm)
I am experiencing oil leakages more in the magnetic coil area after switching to motul (again could be only in my case, request other users to confirm)

sorry to say but why did you used for 13k km. Please change the oil as per recommendation. i am sure 13k km is too much.

But what advantage would you get on pitting 7100 compared to 5100?Originally posted by mayurpatil23 View PostSee the difference between a hig grade good oil is that

Not sure why but I have seen most motul oil leakage on pulsars.specially 7100.why?and how does this oil leakage happen?Originally posted by balakrishnavijay View PostI used stock oil till 13K kms, I did change the oil at regular intervals.
