That's pretty good figures, as it was a highway. 60-70kph speeds does not drain much of the fuel, but speeds above 80 or 90 does. I averaged ~150kms in 80-97kph for 80% of the distance. I got ~37kmpl. When I did ~60 and nothing beyond that, for 5L of fuel, I got ~225kms, which is ~45. But couldn't hold the horses always...!!!

I put rs700 petrol (rs75.41 per ltr) and start the trip meter and than i put rs 650(rs72.78 per ltr) from himachal pardesh.and my bike cover 791km. Main points
1.manikaran sahib is 350km away from ludhiana.
2.i take my bike to my office 4 time which is 11.5km one way. (so 11.5x8=92km).so my bike consume just 18.xxxxltr to cover 791km.i am really impressed with the mileage figure. I thought that it will only provide me 35km during this trip.but because of pillion and having a bajaj discover 100cc bike travelling side by side i gave very smooth throttle.

But when it was in run-in phase is gives me 47kmpl and speed was maintained under 50kmph.
On an average it gives me near 36kmpl while checking reserve to reserve methid

The longest I've tripped is 220km (up&down) and when I was back to home, i almost couldn't feel my butt and felt sore, and some shoulder aches. Well, that's just me. However a day stay should be fine for such longer distances. BTW, the gears are good, and did you buy it online?. If yes, how was the experience and delivery, etc?. Right now what I have is some hardcore jerkin which is good for rain\sun but doesn't have much protection. Im planning for one around a budget of 7-8k.
We spent a night at there bro.. We just wanted to visit CST Terminus Mumbai as we are planning for Bhutan Trip starting from 1st Nov. Want to transport bikes via train upto Siliguri. But after reaching CST on Saturday, we came to know that we have to visit Lokmanya Tilak Terminus because trains for Siliguri start from there. We reached there and got required info. After that we left for Malshej Ghat and reached there at night 11 pm around. Found a cheap hotel for night stay and next day when we woke up, we came to know that the whole place was already occupied by lots of RE owners and other riders from nearby Mumbai as it was two day public holiday. Though we enjoyed a lot.

My NS performed very well and I found that it is best for touring all day. As my two friends were riding on Thunderbirds and they got back pain and butt sore too often that we had to take breaks too many times. But I didn't feel any kind of butt pain. All I faced is shoulder pain lately and palm pain after reaching home.

Regarding riding gear, yes I bought Tornado Pro jacket (INR 7000/-) and DSG Motomesh Gloves (INR 1100/-) from their online website and the fit and finish is perfect for my size. (Small size I purchased). Delivery is very quick within a week. Helmet is already a year old and want to replace it now before my trip. Boots.. with steel toe protection and all leather. Not waterproof. Boots were all drenched in mud and water during the ride but still good. Got it during flipkart sale recently for INR 1600/-

That's true. I thought at first sight that RE gives more comfort on saddle due to cushioning, but it seems to make it sore ,earlier than ours. NS is very good and comfortable when cruising ~90-100kph. What makes one tired is the wind, a wind shield could seriously help beyond 100, but again without ABS, 100+ is not good and recommended. I'd rather enjoy all day @90+ speeds.

You had a great day then, but I have a concern. Take a look at this, which I came up few minutes back. This is so serious and irresponsible courier service. When you do that, be careful. However the train transportation should be some what safer, but careful about scratches.

Rightly said. When it was in run-in, it gave ~45+ all time. But slowly it came down. That's because we slowly change our riding speed limits
I always check reserve to reserve method. The tank full method is not convenient, because many a times the petrol filling guy overfills and it goes as wastage

Bro, I have two questions for you

              1. Doesn't placing the bag on the tank make any scratches?.
              2. Have you removed the side mirror for some reasons?.

I seriously can't think even of driving without that...!!

1.the bag is a simple backpack.no scratch.(the tank cover is cheap and under rs 1100).
2.mirrors not provide sufficient rear view.please provide some solution for it.

Mmm. I've got my tank with so many scratches. I never place anything there. But my son when sits will keep scratching that. I was a bit annoyed and got angry, but then you know nothing is more important than him. So just left it be.

Well, did you try the handle bar mirrors?. That should give you a good viewing angle. The stock mirrors serve only to some extend. I myself would like to give a try, but I will still have the stock mirrors attached. I prefer safety first that beauty

You could have tank wrapped in matte vinyl
Or repaint the tank with matte clear coat ..

i had the same doubt before some months.I reasearched in google endless times and came to a conclution that i need a ns. things i like about pulsar 200NS
1.its probably the best in its segment after ktm duke 200
2.liquid cooled engine makes the bike a cool fella even under highest speeds
                                3.attention grabber
4.bajaj spare parts are cheap compared to honda parts
5 23.5 bhp is quite good to deal with and18.3nm torque gives quick pickup and acceleration
6.finally its a naked sports bike compared to fairing bikes
7.engine and exhaust are derived from its austrian brother duke so u get underbelly exhaust and exhaust note is appealing its souns like scooter[emoji16]
8.perimeter frame provides stabilty for cornering and stunts
9.pillion seat is good but not best
Things i dont like about p200NS
1.large turning radius feels like you are turning a truck
2.tyres being eurogrip provide good grip in dry condition and prove pretty useless under panic braking and wet tarmac.
sorry i dont know much about cbr 150r so please ask some fellas in cbr ownership thread for information.
ps:i like naked bikes.so it was the first reason i dint buy a fairing bike.
Buy duke 200 if u can extend your budget a little bit...testdrive both bikes and decide which one u like u are the one who will finally live with your bike choose wisely
                                have a good day
