As I said, the gear lever could be dent removed if any, but at least to the extend of ability to operate, if not like a new. Mine was bent way too inward prevented me from even shifting the gears one side. The svc guys helped reshape it back, if not perfect. But what I can't believe is how the hell are they refusing it?. Try different svc.

Thats cool man. How is your projector setup working?. I personally find them getting washed away and are not good for a long throw. I will continue to use it for some time and will be back to halogen maybe 100w. Only major plus is, I can lit it for hours without engine turned on

The gear lever is all okay, the chassis is bent so the bolt of the side stand is distirbing the gear shifts. It has come all the way out

After patient waiting, saving money and pouring over endless posts in this forum, I finally got this seriously good looking bike.

I bought a 6 month used, quite well maintained blue and black NS. The bike is as good as it looks. The bike feels like an advanced piece of machinery.

I have a concern with the bike that I hope you guys can answer.

I kept reading how this bike had tall gear ratios, thus making it easy to ride in traffic.

However, this is what I have found to be smooth speed ranges in each gear:

1st gear: 0 -10kmph, 2nd 10-18kmph, 3rd 18-25 kmph, 4th 25 - 35 kmph, 5th 35 - 50 kmph, 6th 50 & above. Below the speed range I have mentioned for each gear, the engine knocks and above that speed range, the engine gets quite rough and stressed. So, sometimes even If go 50 meters, I have to change up twice and change down twice. In this specified range though, the engine is very smooth.

Also, for the past week, when I shift up to second or third gear, no matter what speed I am in, the bike jerks forward twice before it smoothens out.

I dont like to thrash bikes around. I like to drive a bike smoothly in traffic conditions.

Am I thinking and worrying too much? Is there anything in the riding style I need to change or is there anything wrong in the bike or anything I can improve?
Congrats on buying this unique and obsolete masterpiece . 200ns is long geared compared to Duke200 and short geared compared to Duke390, even with Unicorn 160 . The new unicorn is long geared. Meaning you can cruise @100 kmph in just 7000 rpm in both NS and unicorn, besides ns is huge on torque. But the point is 200ns will do 100 mark very smoothly and effortlessly that unicorn. It's all about the gear ratio setup. Duke on the other hand is slightly short geared, meaning ns in 4th gear can do ~115kph while duke does ~100kmph.

In 200ns, I like 80-97 kmph range because it gives a very smooth drive experience at 5600rpm to 7000rpm range with less engine sound and better FE. Beyond 7K, the engine sounds so loud and makes you bored for a longer cruising.

Check gearcommander for more information, you'll know what I mean.

I think that jerky motion is due to tight chain. Check the chain slackness

Thank you for your wishes and your reply. I touched the 80 mark today and the bike is so smooth and great beyond 70. Effortless too.

I think I just have to find a smooth way of riding in city.

I have kept the chain slackness at a little over one inch.

I am not seeing it as a problem, just concerned and want to know if everything seems ok. I was able to touch upto 80 today and at higher speeds the bike is really smooth and effortless. At lower gears (1-3), the bike screams after 4,000rpm. If it was some bad oil or dirt in the petrol tank, it should be like that at all speeds.

That's cool Dude. A visual treat. Lucky you. Here in my place, I can't find a ghat unless I travel at least 350kms +. Hope you had the riding gears and the helmets. Share more pictures if possible. Thanks

That's good. 80 hits in a few eye blinks. Good to go upto 95kph with full comfort and relaxation. Well, it depends...BTW how much did you buy this bike for?.

Thats how the Pulsar is.After 4K RPM it rips off .But before that it takes a tad time to reach.
