Try braking more at front and less at rear. The ratio 7:3 provides a safe braking capability.

Not Ok. Try 70:30 front and rear for better braking. In fact, under dry and sometimes, under dusty roads, I found good braking stability using this technique on ns with eurogrips. But do try to feel the tyres through the levers. They'll tell you when they've reached their limits.

Why blame the tires bra. It's happening cos your braking technique is generic and bad.
I don't ever touch my rear brake of NS and RC unless on gravel and off road patch.. And here I dead stop my bike from 100+ km/h on dry tarmac using front and rev match downshift technique. It's the best braking technique, try to learn it (youtube it), it's very doable once you develop the muscle reflex needed for it. And it's good for your engine overall.
If you somehow are unable to grasp the technique, on dry try to use maximum front brake, rear is only used to assist and slow down, avoid pulling in clutch and downshift progressively as ur revs fall and bike nearly comes to a halt. That's an improved braking technique over your current.

How old are the tyres (kms) ?
Tyres also have break-in period(intial few hundred kms) , so ride it for a few hundred kms and it should start performing/braking better.

Skidding can also depend on the tarmac conditions, even on right set of tyres on muddy/gravel tarmac you might skid with little pressure on the brake lever.

Well said mate.. totally with you on this. 70:30 works well for the Eurogrips

You get LED strips with glue on the back, bro...80 rupees for one metre (best quality). Works on 12V. Cut into pieces, solder connections. Stick it everywhere you can think of, behind the wind shield. For the headlight, remove the rubber cap behind the headlight bulb and stick in the gap between bulb and plastic. Put the cap back in place properly! The light will fall on the reflector glass, giving that colour. LED will not be visible. People will wonder from where the light is coming Connect all these strips together to the pilot lamp connection.

at 2k kms i switched from Bajaj Dtsi Engine oil to Petronas Sprinta 5000 full synt oil. i got it for very cheap price of 330rs per litre (Old stock with dealer) so i thought why not give it a try.The oil is much better than dtsi engine oil but i am not much happy with overall performance. it works fine at slow speeds below 80 and gear shift is smooth too but when taken above the speed of 100, engine give peculiar burning smell and gear shifts get clunky. In past, on my P150 i have used Petronas Mineral and semi-synt oils both and they were much better and never gave burning smell even when bike was continously redlined, so i am confused about why Full Synt is giving burning engine oil smell (maybe it is old stock or some other reason)

i guess i have to stick to Motul 5100 from now on

any thing special to check while getting bike serviced on 2nd service? also Air filter hasnt been cleaned once in last 4200kms. i am accustomed to clean it every 2k kms , so i tried doing it myself. stupid Allen bolts wasted lot of my time and when i got all of them off then i ealised i didnt had the T-spanner to open the Last remaining bolt on Air filter box why they made it so hard to DIY?

So I will buy a 200 AS. Since it is pretty much a re skinned NS, I was wondering about the breaking in. Should I stick to specific speeds or should I go by rpms?

Hey Guys,

I am planning on a trip to Sakleshpur from Bangalore. I will be hitting the road on Saturday and i need some suggestions on the below:

Tyre: Eurogrip 130/70 17" Tubeless rear Tyre (Of-course you know the spec )

As you can see in the images the tyre had two punctures on the Rear tyre at around 200kms of the ODO. After which i fixed the puncture with the traditional puncture strips.

But the pressure used to drop from 36 to 16 psi in a weeks time. During my 3rd service (13,000 ODO), i asked my local mechanic to have it fixed with a Nylon patch. But the strips no longer used to seat in the torned area and burst out every 30 mins (This was mainly because the guy used to pump in air to a pressure 55 psi which i realized only after refilling the air a week later).

So i had a CEAT/ MRF (unaware) Tube put in the Tubeless tyre and have ridden already around 4.5k kms already with one puncture.

So please let me know, should i know change the tyre as a whole for the trip or just the Tube? Or can i just ride as is?

Guys,
Two weeks after the 3rd free service i am facing the same problem again ie. NS giving jerks.
I told them the issue, during the service. Bike ran OK for two weeks, but today again the same problem.
Problem is bike jerks at 4k-5k rpm, at the signal, engine suddenly stalled and also during the ride it abruptly stalled in the middle of nowhere.
What cud be the issue? Genuine solutions are welcomed! Thanks!

I used to have. Similar issue sometime back.
Had completed 2 free service .6k odo.
Ass were not able to find the problem.
Me and krixna worked together and found the issue.

There is a pipe connecting near the shocker.
It is supposed to create some sort of Vaccum in the engine.
This pipe was not connected for me.
Check this and connect it properly.
And then get the engine retuned.

Hi,
I dont know how far Sakleshpur to Banglore is, but looking at your tyre i would say Use the setup which you have now as long as it isnt leaking air. Your tyre has good amount of rubber left.

The svc guys had tuned the engine during the service, ride felt punchy & hard and pick up increased but mileage dropped to 36 kmpl. Now throttle response has decreased and ride is smooth and not punchy.
It would be a great help if u can plz post the pic of the pipe. Thanks !
