Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thank you for the reply, I will try to tune the carb. Regarding the headlight I will check in JC road Bangalore.Originally posted by krixna View PostYou will need a ceramic holder for the bulb, and a relay which supplies current direct from the battery. Use a thick wire and 20A fuse. The present H/L beam connections will be used for switching the relay.
You can just remove the present bulb and fit in a 100/90, but you definitely will not get the light output as the relay wiring.
Tuning: with the engine warm after a short run, or after 10 mins on idle, turn the idle adjustment knob and set rpm to 2000. On the right side of carb (ie same side as idle adjustment) look for a brass screw facing sideways. That is the mixture adj. screw. Slowly turn it clockwise (like tightening the screw). Engine rpm may rise or drop a little, don't mind. At one point while turning the screw, engine rpm drops quickly. That is the point where you stop turning. If you turn beyond this, you will have lean mixture, idling may be erratic
Edit: turn idle back to 1400rpm or so ( just below the 1.5 mark)

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Done with 3rd Free Service last week.
Bike feels like new. Power kicks-in at the desired rpm.
The only issue is the the throttle feels bit hard to twist and bike giving 36 kmpl average after service, that too on a highway, which was near abt 40-41 kmpl before service in the city!
what could be the problem? any solutions?!

And check the play of throttle on sides..
If that's ok then lube the throttle with grease or 2t oil ..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yeah that is the screw but from my personal experience, instead of adjust yourself go to service center set co level between 1.5 to 2.5. Mine got set at 2.26 and getting 40km/l avg.Originally posted by balakrishnavijay View Post

Re: Coolant Options
Hi friends,
I am about to change the coolant in my bike (DIY). I did some research on the subject and found that Motocool Expert and Inugel Expert contain silicates which are abrasive in nature and will eat away rubber gaskets and similar parts over time. This evetually leads to gasket failure. So, I started searching for other alternatives. Could find much though.
I am also planning to visit a few shops in Trivandrum to find any other options.
Would love to see your thoughts and ideas on this.Your bike is a part of you....

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Any one has idea about the cost of this part...
Found out it's broken just now.
edit: Why pics aren't uploading.
It's the right foot peg assembly. The upper aluminum portion.

Sure thing, left the bike to check the oil leakage issue, the ass people said they will change the gasket once again before replacing the magnetic coil.Originally posted by krixna View PostJust follow the engine rpm guide I said, buddy. How do you think we tuned engines 10 years back?

and I got the LED headlight installed! I went to buy 90/100 W philips bulb and ended up buying a 3 light LED bulb.
I am yet to test it.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Guys, my tappet noise has started growing . It's annoying while riding. My SVC, they ruined my father's p200 Dtsi. No idea going there. How should I do it myself.
Also in my previous post, I had said that the bike was ridden with choke on all the time, but it was not.
Actually I saw the bike early morning and bought the bike after riding pillion, just to check any noise. He had the choke on for cold morning. It's only I, who ride the bike all the way to home with choke on.
