Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi Prince, yesterday I was on my way to somewhere and checked it very carefully after half an hour ride and there was that 'tik-tik' noise. After completing my journey of around one and half hour i can easily hear that sound even while sitting on the bike. even in 4-5th gear,bike was sometimes creating lot of noise (note - only few times, like after an one and half hour journey, 1 out of 10 times i could hear)Originally posted by princesirohi View PostRide the for 10-15 mins so that engine is not cold.......
I noticed power loss also. as I've completed my run-in hence decided to take the RPM to its limits, bike was under performing(felt the same power as of RTR 180). even on 6th gear bike was not crossing 135 kmph even sometimes i feel like even giving full throttle bike is slowing down instead of speeding up or remaining constant(only on 6th gear around 8-9K RMP).
can it be also due to tappet? or there could be any other issue as well?
Experienced riders, please help
ride or die

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
6th gear per say is not a gear for you to build up speed rather is a gear to maintain the speed. 200ns has taller gearing hence has a higher top speed but it is usually achieved in the 5th gear.Originally posted by sieze.s View Post.. even on 6th gear bike was not crossing 135 kmph even sometimes i feel like even giving full throttle bike is slowing down instead of speeding up or remaining constant(only on 6th gear around 8-9K RMP).... Gear ratio
1=2.83/1, 2=2.07/1, 3=1.56/1, 4=1.24/1, 5=1.05/1, 6=0.92/1Last edited by Itzli; 04-01-2015, 04:32 PM.For mental health..

I don't have that much expertise in mechanics :P
BTW @MarkNS posted here below speed breakups of his NS (while he was using Ceat Zoom XL)
1st gear - 52
2nd gear - 71
3rd gear - 93
4th gear - 116
5th gear - 137
6th gear - 151
till 4th gear I'm able to make it upto 105-110 but 5th & 6th are not even close.ride or die
