oil change - 500
oil filter - 100 ( i think it is somethimg below Rs 80/-)
coolant top up - 100 ( i saw it later, my coolant level is alright. But still is Rs 100 justified?)
chain cleaning - 300 ( I told them not to clean)

pls let me know what should be the correct cost for part/services/oil. I am not going to pay them any extra money.
Oil change of bajaj is not 500 it's just 440
Oil filter is exactly 74 rupees not even a paisa more
Coolant top up is done in 50 rupees everywhere here
Chain cleaning 300..? Tell them to put mud on chain and you will clean it yourself, buddy strongly protest and do not pay more than (440+74+50) 564 bucks, ...and fight like Spartacus if you have to

200cc sized 23.5 bump of raw power..!!

Anuj_Gupta thanks for reply brother. I am not going to pay them even a single rs more. I am more concerned about their attitude than my money. Due to such unethical practices I doubt that they may not change the oil filter as well. Also I will have a pic of the estimate with me and if needed I will send it to bajaj. These people take advantage of our ignorance.

I had a fall on my NS yesterday while in a standstill. The bike fell to its left and has minor scratches on the handlebar and the clutch lever. I just have 112kms on the ODO.

Since the bike fell on the left and since the gear lever is the first thing that hits the ground, I feel that it has moved inward towards the due to the weight when the bike fell to the left.
Since then , when I ride, I feel that the gear lever has become harder/tighter and my gear shifts feel harder too.

There are no scratches on the gear shift lever though !

How do I check whether this is true and how do I get this fixed ?

The gear lever doesn't hits the ground even if the bike falls.
Its the leg guard which takes all the impact.

Not true my friend. I fell on an upward slope and in such cases, the crash guard and gear lever both hit the ground..

How do I know ?, you ask.. Well, I went to the SVC today and saw the other pulsars there. My gear lever indeed had become bent. So the SVC guys mended it.
I wanted to replace it, then I thought let me ride this till my first service and then replace it if necessary.
So all in all, the lever is back to where it should have been. Will get it replaced in another 500kms time.

Thanks

Have clocked around 850-900 kilometres including a 300km trip to Silvassa this weekend. The tyre has very good cornering abilities...one can do corners at relatively higher speeds compared to stock Eurogrogrip tyre. Dry grip is good, did not experience any slipping issues, yet to check it on wet surface. Managed to do a top speed of 130 kms solo and 124 kms with a pillion (odo indicated speed)...so don’t think it should reduce your top speed by a huge margin. Also, have not seen any reduction in my bike’s mileage...still getting 37-38 kmpl on my daily commute to office. Changed front tyre to Zapper FX at around 31,000 Km (current odo reading of 34850 kms). The cost of tyre is Rs3000 without octroi near Mumbai.
that's valuable feedback about the Tyres.. thanks for sharing it with us. With 34850 Kms on ODO you're one of the most experienced NS'ians among us. If you have time, do tell us more about how good or bad your ownership experience has been till now, like how is your NS behaving with 35k Kms on ODO, any loss in power and pickup, engine ever opened up etc.. also mention current issues with your bike like vibrations if any. This helps out many non-NS'ians stalking this ownership thread.

yes ur right. the gear level does take a hit if the bike falls on the sides. along with the crash guard taking much of all the impact. I had fell on the left side just like you did back when I was 500 or so on ODO and my gear lever was also bent by an inch or so, the service men just mended it like he did for you and it was back to perfect. it's just a bad feeling to realize that one of the tiny components in your loveable brand new bike was bent and then mended as a fix. and you feel like replacing it even if it's not required.

May i ask from where did you find a zapper s 140/70....? Its the r15v1 rear and available im only 1 size 100/80 x 17. Btw zapper fx is a fail in ns.... everything is better than stock but i am losing my front heavily on hard braking....no feedback... using it for 19k kms. Stock front was better in braking...

Though this is not related to our thread, but still thought of sharing.
Rohan singh rajarshi was born with a disorder due to which his left arm did not grow beyond his elbow. Try telling him he is different and he wont agree. He has been riding a pulsar 220 and a bullet till date but he sold them both and joined the ktm family. He came down all the way from jamshedpur to kolkata to take delivery of his ktm 390 duke and started his ride towards jamshedpur after taking delivery as he resides there. In the city he was zigzagging with ease at 70-80kmph and once on national highway 2 he was cruising above 120kmph constantly zipping in between trailers and cars.
I bow down before him. I have nothing to say.
Amd we complain about hard clutch, unstable at high speeds and windblast....
