Oh lol, it's well known that any stickers and rim tapes do not stick to the surface which has been polished or teflon coated recently. Wait for some days and give it casual a wash. Then take it for rim taping.

I don't think you are correct either, I know the manual says so but its just the grade that matters.

And I buy my oil from a local dealer not from Bajaj, so there is no profit whatsoever the SC gets...but never mind...I just was saying about my experience and the brief conversion I had with the guys at Bajaj pulsar's manufacturing unit in Pune.

Problem regarding thud thud sound from front has gone.
Front tyre was running 47 psi .
Last week filled air from a roadside shop to 25 psi front but checked today on petrol pump and it was too high and got it 25 psi,
Now there is no sound from front.

Got HID fitted, a big mistake I think. Really not worth the money. The low beam is ok, high beam is going everywhere but not where it should be. got the focus adjusted etc. Overall visibility is not what I expected. It's a 6000k HID & he didn't have any other one in stock, doesn't feel like an upgrade from stock lamp. Rs 1500 (1300+150) wasted, However it came with 1 year warranty. zzZZ
Should I spend another Rs 1500 and go for a projector ? Would that help ?

Too much tightening the center bolt will make the bolt go bad. Anyway how many times did you tighten it? I guess the ball bearings might have gone bad inside the bolt

HID's are meant to be used with projectors. Its spreading everywhere like this and on top it, it makes the on-coming traffic blind and is illegal. Install projectors with this now.

Update on the HID. It's not too bad.. no good under sodium street lights, but on a completely dark road it's pretty nice. spreads all around though, the oncoming traffic will suffer. Will the projector give me better light focus on the road than spreading it around ?

Yes, correct about that. though the shopkeeper insisted that the focus like this is better than using a projector. As with a projector the visibility will be no good. I was't sure about anything.. but as installing a projector inside requires more time and is more expensive. I thought why not just go without it. The results aren't satisfactory. And I did a test late night and man it's so blinding for the oncoming. Gay stuff tbh. So would the projector help me or the oncoming ?

Projectors would definitely help in better throw than this. And you can have the beam throw set to you liking.
Search the forum and ask a few senior members who might have installed projectors. They would be able to help you better. But surely install projectors with HID.

Your's a new bike and in run-in period, if I were you I'd refrain from using 7100 20W50 as it's FS oil [fully sunthetic] - go with cheap mineral oil and change it a couple a times in run-in.

Switch to FS oil after you've completed 6-7k kms
Never argue with a fool, for he will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

You need 4300k to get Proper illumination.. A Proper ballast to power them too..
What we get here are cheap china ones... even if they are rated 4300k, they will illuminate blueish tint cos of cheap ballast...

even if u get a Projector fitted inside it, it will do the same... Anything brighter to the sun will not illuminate on the road...

You can find 4300k HID on cars like Benz, Audi, BMW, XYLO etc.... They wont blind you on high beam...

I heard that OSRAM is bringing in HID for indian bikes and cars...
                          Try asking about it locally...

Projectors will be way better than stock HIDs and the main cost of the thing is ballast the warranty will also be for the ballast, so the cost for projector will be less now since you will not be buying a ballast. Go for a projector man, they have a angel eye and devils eye integrated (atleast thats the case here in bangalore) also try going for the least kelvins possible do not go for 8000k or higher (too blue is not good even though it might look cooler)

My friend has installed a projector on in p150 and his light (sometime) oustshines my p220 lowbeam so rest assured projectors are any day better than HID.

Also note that when we went for installation the front glass was removed and rebonded which took like 40 minutes apart from that not much time to install a Projector.

And shopkeeper would have told that since he would not have been having projectors in stock.

And today saw brand new hayabusa and a Harley 7xxcc(don't know the name or it was 785 CC or 795cc) in stealth black, both of them were purchased toady by a single person, now here it goes interesting. The owner of both superbikes was celebrating his 18th birthday today and got them as gift from his dad who's a RE showroom dealer. :sly::sly:

Got the projector fitted after spending Rs 1900 extra. Results are almost good. Road presence is like "wow". but still not the best experience.. Stock was cool and calm and worked wonders.. Idk why I looked into HIDs..

Yes, 4300k is what I heard is the best option, but I had already made a mistake yesterday of investing my money in the wrong shop. This guy didn't have anything but 6000k HID. As I had already spent Rs 1450 yesterday, I had to take my chances and spend another Rs 1900 ( 1600+300 labour) for projector setup. The result is a blue'ish color beam which is providing pretty decent ilumination. My biggest fault is that I didn't explore the shops before making my decision. Today I found just 2 shops away there was another shop dealing in similar HID work etc.. but he had way more knowledge and varieties available. He also had the 4300k HID I needed to get. Priced at Rs 4000. A much high profile shop keeper. But had already spend my money elsewhere..

Yea I noticed the difference now. Projector's throw much more concentrated. A definite improvement over just the HID. The guy didn't have anything lower than 6000k.

Yea i got it from karol bagh only.. such a wonderful place to be in for a person who is mad about bikes and got money in his pocket .. xD. But not every shop is recommendable..

Looked into FFE.. Saw one priced at Rs 2800 and other one priced at Rs 7500. Fit and finish was really good for both.. the cheaper one was only wider from the inside.
