Bike can be cleaned as easy on side as on center stand.
Lubrication is difficult but yes manageable.
But if you can, you should buy a centre stand.
Try to strike deal in 550 or 600₹ max (including Labour)
Best is to get stand while getting your bike serviced.

There could be a problem with spark plugs too. Each of them works for different rpms. Get it checked bro as well as diaphragm.

I'm getting gear box sounds while decreasing gears. Now I'm giving for first service, what all I should take for consideration in my first service.

• Bar end weights DIY

Hi all!

Most of us have had issues with vibes on our beasts...be it the tank, the fairing, the rear brake lever or the handlebar (esp. with the sub-standard Bajaj DTSI oil.
While most of us have fixed the issues by using Motul or other SS or S oils, the vibes still make their presence known.
Issues with tank vibes and fairing vibes can be fixed by rubber grommets but the brake lever and handlebars seem to be an issue.

I had spare bar-end weights from my previous stead P150 so tried fitting them to the NS and they fit like a glove!! The P150 weights being heavier and longer have reduced the vibes by a decent 20%. I bought a new pair and fitted them myself. (Pics below)

Now for the hidden advantage:
Bar end weights generally protect the mirrors if the bike tips over (not an accident at 90K though )
Now that I have longer bar end weights I am thinking of installing the Duke 200's RVMs as they stretch outwards a little more than the NS's giving a better view of whats behind.

Any thoughts?

Man my gear shifts have gotten so smooth and feel near perfect after the Clutch adjustment done at the SVC. False neutral are rare or none. Also chain lubed at home, helps.
Did another FE test. Got 178 Kms out of 4 Ltrs of fuel. Fuel efficiency - about 44 Km/l when strictly ridden under 50-60 Km/h between 4k and 3k Rpms. And then, I ripped my bike so much after 178 Kms of slow commuter like riding... The bike's top end put a huge grin on my face man.. the pull, redlining in every gear and overtaking, even that with minimum vibrations, the free revving engine & the gear shifts.. felt so fresh. It's like after 10,000 Kms of riding it, I'm actually starting to tame this bike. It's not easy to make use of all the 23.5 horses on the road and be a real Pulsar maniac. Alas I can't go on very long rides due to my back issue.. hence the low ODO number after 16 months of ownership.

ashish, the longer handle bar (including original ends) is really a pain to drive in busy city streets, most of the time, the handlebar end hits people, things etc.
vibes as I've a No Vibe Ns Till 107kmph. I think I can provide some info.
1. First of all, get motul, leave bajaj dtsi crap oil. Vibes will.go by 60-70%.
2. Then maintain clean chain + adjusted chain+ lubed properly =20-25% vibe gone.
3. All nuts and bolts tightened properly- 5-15% vibes gone.
4.clutch adjusted, bike properly serviced)-5-10% vibes gone.
My ns is on motul, was yesterday chain lubed and now is total Vibe free till 100kmph.
Let me explain vibe free term also. Don't expect to get this much power with silence and stability like of a electric bike. Vibe less means bike is producing only those vibrations that are supposed to be produced by a machine of that capability.
I would like to share mods (soft) done by me
1. Bigger horn (bigger than skoda one)
2. Red led parking lights.
3. Hazard indicator system.
4. Rear mudguard off.
5.Little bit of white addition to red devil(stickering but in minimalistic and decent way, only to cover up some scratches)
6.Motul 20w50 3100 gold oil.

Hello,
One of my friends(hostel mate) finally got his pulsar 200 ns. his major crib is that, the first time the engine is started for the day, he has to engage the choke for about 1-2 minutes before he can take off. Otherwise, if he directly opens the throttle the bike just surges, and the engine dies. Is this a common occurrence in all NS's ?

Again a poorly adjusted idling screw problem.
On the right side of bike (where rear brake lever is) ,there will be a small white nut rotatable by hand. Use that to adjust idling rpm properly.
Someone had tampered mine and I used to do choke eveytime in summer.
Now it has been 3 months since I've touched the choke button.
