As of now i am facing a small problem that my bike idles at 1000 when cold and 1300 when hot.
moreover it feels like there is no petrol in bike at around 4K RPM in 5 and 6th gear. Took it to service center in kirti nagar (new delhi).
They just checked CO level and then adjusted AFR (not sure though). But still the problem is there..
And the CO level was at 3.5 so asked him that service manual states that it should be between 1.5 and 2.5. He just said it's OK..
Now the question is that when CO is more than recommended does it indicates that the bike is running lean or rich..
The symptoms show that it is on lean but i want to be sure next time i go to SVC
Still how much should be the CO level... ?

1.5~1.6 is fine.. am using it.. You get 40+ mileage and good power in all RPM range..
2.5 is too rich.. and 3.5 is way about it...
Tell them to set it at 1.6
If they say NO, Raise your voice and ask them to set it...
even i had the same problem. Later after doing proper crab tuning. everything is fine now

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Forget this co things and dont get much technical. All that matters is how well each component is working... more you try getting technical more u'll screw your bike... factory tuned bikes are running 10+ co yet returning 40+..... its not only about co... there are a lot of other things in a bike other than co and afr screw. I have 4~ co and still get 40. And after 18k kms my bike still goes like a rocketOriginally posted by bharat007 View PostThanks for the Info but i know that it has been messed up... Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Absolutely no problem with the mix , continue to ride . There is no known incompatibility between synthetic & non-synthetic motor oils . btw , you are near oil replacement kms anywayOriginally posted by pratik.pat View Post.. Got it fixed at the svc today but they topped up with the Bajaj oil. I was using motul 7100 20w50 fully synthetic and the Bajaj oil is mineral...Should i drain the oil and get it filled with fresh oil or can i continue like this. Last change was at 3.6k and currently I'm at 5.6k. Its more of a SOS situation. Please advice. ..

Thanks for reply. And I got it drained to the prescribed level. I saw a few bubbles. They may not have done any apparent harm but still precautions are always better.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View PostNothing will happen... keep the oil as it is... i had run with huge quantities of oil on trips...to be specific...1.8 litres... anyways dont try that... a bit mre oil does not harm...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
relax bro that cold start and engine stalling is a minor issue. I think you're pulling the clutch in too early when coming to a halt right ? and maintaining extremely low RPMs as it's a new bike ? Try and keep it above 3-4k rpm and below 5.5k just to be on the safer side. Before you begin your ride, strictly idle your engine for atleast a full minute or two. The new engine won't idle steadily. Hold the throttle and maintain 2-2.5k RPM to warm up the engine, could use choke for 15-20 secs as well. Do engine braking instead of pulling the clutch in early with brakes applied. You'll get many engine stalls before you get ur technique right.Originally posted by pratikthereddevil View PostBought my bike yesterday...facing some problems like cold start and noise coming from my disk brakes at lower speed (at 5-10 kmph)...help me out guys with cold start its tripping everytime at start and even in middle of the ride in traffic...idle rpm set to 1.5.

Yes..I'm not revving the engine hard....keeping the rpm below 4..should I increase the idle rpm and what any the noise coming from disk brakes.as it is worrying me a lot

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
no not increase the idle rpm, 1.5k is what it is and should be. can't say about noise from the disk brakes.is it coming from both front and rear ? too noisy ? and not noticeable but present in higher speeds as well right. ride for 2-3 kms without applying the brakes and then stop and check your disk calipers. if they're hot for no reason then u gotta find help at svc.Originally posted by pratikthereddevil View PostYes..I'm not revving the engine hard....keeping the rpm below 4..should I increase the idle rpm and what any the noise coming from disk brakes.as it is worrying me a lot
