Sorry, i was under the impression you were running on the 5100 for 2600kms now.
Well, since you just changed, i'd say run as is , till you feel the oil has started giving problems, should be like another 3k kms and then change.
For changing the oil filter you must drain the oil and i would'nt suggest draining the oil and again filling it with the same oil. Chances of dirt and dust mixing with the oil is high.

Isn't the normal NGK plugs available at the same cost outside? Actually they are better than the OEM Champion brand that you are waiting for.Originally posted by princesirohi View PostNow these assholes dont even have spark plugs.

5100 for 4000kms??? Even my 300v starts to lose its properties at 4k kms.... 2.5k-3k kms would be fine imo depending on the riding habit.Originally posted by krish2778 View Post5100 can be used for about 4000kms , after which it starts to loose its properties.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have used the 5100 for really long time, i used to change at 4k kms, and haven't felt it to have strained it with that interval.Originally posted by siddharthsure View Post5100 for 4000kms??? And yes, drain intervals does depend on riding pattern but even then being FS and SS should be of much of a difference, unless it is something as aggressive as track riding.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I used my last 5100 for about 3400 Kms and the oil didn't give any problems till the end, gear shifts and ride were smooth. but yes, 3k will be perfect drain interval for 5100.
@krish2778

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi guys, i have 2k on odo running crap bajaj oil from 2nd service. i want to change the both slave plugs to ngk g-power(iridium too expensive). has any one running them and wanna share any experience. also any one running k&n air filter conical or rectangular?? i myself planning a rectangular k&n kt-6908 also it looks close to our stock air filter(for reference see page no-1084 First post. the guy has nailed down the air filter assembly).reason for filter change- i want ns to sound, also not too like conical air filter. Reason for spark plug change is- someone at previous posts mentioned a smoothness in engine compared to stock champion ones, but he used iridium ones. any suggestions??

Not much change with iridiums. Not worth the price tag.Originally posted by Rex2688 View PostHi guys, i have 2k on odo running crap bajaj oil from 2nd service. i want to change the both slave plugs to ngk g-power(iridium too expensive). has any one running them and wanna share any experience. also any one running k&n air filter conical or rectangular?? i myself planning a rectangular k&n kt-6908 also it looks close to our stock air filter(for reference see page no-1084 First post. the guy has nailed down the air filter assembly).reason for filter change- i want ns to sound, also not too like conical air filter. There will be stock like sound with panel filters. Conical ones give the sound. Again, not worth the trouble.
When it comes to these parts, stock is best.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thanks aditya, btw i dont want a vroom vroom sound, just a little bassy exhaust compared to stock, is it possible by the Panel/replacement filter. 2- yeah iridium is too costly, What about g-power ones. they cost rs.120 each.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostNot much change with iridiums. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Near zero change in sound with panel filters man. The air box doesnt let the sound come out. If you want sound you can remove the breather pipe for the airbox. You'll get a slight sound even with stock filter. But you'll lose some of the midrange and filter will get dusty very quickly.Originally posted by Rex2688 View PostThanks aditya, btw i dont want a vroom vroom sound, just a little bassy exhaust compared to stock, is it possible by the Panel/replacement filter. 2- yeah iridium is too costly, What about g-power ones. they cost rs.120 each.
Possibly a voltmeter indicating battery voltage.Originally posted by pratiksgole View PostHey in your profile picture what is the clock like thing ? just above RPM indicator , i have seen it on many bikes.. what is it ?
