I poured nearly 1300 ml oil as seen from the oil markers on moutul bottle still the oil level is near minimum mark. What is happening ? Last time when SVC guys filled 1300 ml the oil was near max mark.
        I am loving my NS

The bike needs to be upright (center stand/paddock) for about 15-20 min to let the oil settle down before seeing the marking. Do this and you'll see it near the max mark. (assuming the engine oil drain bolt is tightened properly)

Bike was upright for entire night on center stand. May be the surface was not flat.

Hi Tanzing! i am running on that crap bajaj oil ... it was changed at first service (done @ 470 kms) .. i would like to use motul 5100 or 7100 as well but i am unaware of the place where it is found. moreover, at servicing center, if you dont use that bajaj's oil, the two year warranty will be lost.. so i am planning to use bajaj oil for atleast two years .. one thing i found on fb was that in a page named "motul nepal", a detail was given and here it goes
"Manoj Bachchan on +9779851043405" .. perhaps dial this number and ask this man where its available ! btw which lot is your bike and which colour ?? in which svc do you service it ??

Where in manual does it say not using bajaj oil will void the warranty ?

Hi krishna .. the text under the circled box tries to say that the oil used must be certified by the bajaj .. yes this includes motul.. but at the place I serviced my bike, motul oil wasnt available and they told that only bajaj oil is certified by bajaj and using other oils will void the warranty :/ .. so they dont tick mark that area and while claiming warranty there will problems for sure.. they said that they have never heard about motul and the oil "must" be bought at the svc itself.. yeah they are crap guys and deserve a slap .. they say this to earn profit in the oil thats all ... sad but true !

Ask them to give it in writing and that you will mail it to bajaj Customer care to know if it is true, that should set things right.
                      This is just pure bullcrap.
Like you said, they have certain specifications, which most of the oil here meets that specification.
Do not settle for the sub standard bajaj oil .

                      Cheers

Thanks a lot bro.I'm riding in dual tone lot 60 red-black NS and my odo indicating 1840kms.I'm happy with my NS,till now no problemo cuz i've read every pages before buying it and people were complaining lots of problem in NS.I've got only minor rear brake noise maybe bcuz of new disc plate and pad and or dust.So every morning i clean my pad everyday.so no problemo there too.I live in golfutar but still would got to teku servicing bcuz its like the head quarter of all servicing centre. So was planning to use motul 5100 after lots of feedback from NSians but bcuz of warranty i'm stuck so planning to negotiate with service centre incharge about it so lets see. How's your NS running?I think you're the first owner of blue-black NS in whole nepal right?well congrats.I'm the first one for red-black hehe...

Haha bro my odo reading is a lot less at around 1200 km :P .. ya ns is a great product but got to repect the power its intimidating at times ..haha bro I too have some rear disc noise which can be heard at slow speeds when engine is running at low rpms .. in ktm in am getting 35 kmpl ..I normally shift within 4500 and only some times go beyond 5000 .. golfutar is only around 2 kms from where I live and i did my first servicing at gyaneshwor but the place was hopeless .. the workers and mechanics always revv the bike crazy at all times .. you always have to argue with them .. they feel like a huge burden as if they arent getting paid for ages ..
I also would like to go for 5100 as is is a semi synth oil at 2000km ie 2nd servicing .. bro if you find it somewhere plz help me with the location and details . bike feels super refined with this crap oil and I wonder how good it would feel when I pour motul . goodnight bro and namaste ( haha I know i should have told it in the beggining ) :P ..
