The Tyre slipped and i ended up with aberrations in my thigh n hands which immobilized me for a week(it was that bad). From then on I'm little hesitant to do cornering. Even on normal braking the Tyre tends to slip on dry surface...

And about the bike.. Its 10 months old black Valentino & its awesome as like always.... you'll love it with reasons and without, once you start riding it...
I finished my 4th service. They changed my chain sprocket saying its worn off and it doesn't come under warranty. Changed to Motul fully synthetic oil....
Avg mileage of 35-38kmpl in city...
Well I really feel sad when I hear about someone's accident.
And god bless you.
But a question in my mind, that how many km did you clocked that you changed it?
And how much did it cost?

How's the health now???

Dude as you were cornering you can't champlaint about these tyres, no manufacturer will tell you to hit a corner on the tyres which are made for street.

For simpler explanation the name of the tyre you were using is ''Michelin Pilot STREET'' not sports or something like that.

I hope u understand my point and next time be carefull
Yes bro very much better in gods grace. Thanks.. As i was wearing my helmet my head was spared....
I just want people to understand its not that great of a tyre as how people brag about it.....
Now that i have said my testimony, everybody who own this will be extra careful.

Now we all know cornering at a certain lean angle will be ok and if you still want to push past a certain lean angle, things will get messy and were the tyres run-in properly. New tyres need 100-200 kms of run-in before they can be fully exploited.

Its something definitely related to you cocking up with the lean angle or hitting the corner at incorrect speed or various other conditions. Only tyres are not to be blamed here.

Get well soon, bro!!

Cheers,
Sanjay
Thanks Bro Im almost healed and back in form...
I have run 14,000 kms with these tyres. And im very good in cornering. I got shocked when i slipped down and landed with this situation(Awkward before the crowd)..
I didnt even cross 50kmph when it happened. Luckily it was nearby my home....

Ya these michellin tyres aren't that great on dry but good on wet.I agree with u on it.someone who has a good cornering skill and good experience with these tyres can pretty much guess it.one of my friend with NS had the same tyres.he felt twice until he changed it .

But yes not corner of road is meant for cornering. [emoji18]

Just now read about your incident. Hope you are doing well by now. It's not the injury that takes time to heal, but the incident that takes a life time to heal. I've tried many corners at about decent speeds say 70-80, only on practiced or known roads. Also I will check for any traffic and the tarmac condition such as dry, not melted, gravels. Under a good tarmac roads with elevated cornering, the cornering will give real fun with 100% safety. But that's hard to find in Indian roads.

But though you are good at taking corners, still bad roads, polished surfaces, melted road surface or some debris can also lead to losing grip. To demonstrate this, I tried small angle cornering on some flat but on concrete road and I could easily feel the loss of traction and the tire skid when the lean angle was about ~40 deg. Apart from tires, we have to estimate the roads very well. But I doubt the quality of the tires. Did you check the tire condition?, threads, grooves. etc. How good or bad it is compared to new ones?. And do you lock rear wheels always?. I used to do that for fun and now I'm more careful in NOT doing this anyhow considering the consequences...

And it's the god's grace along with Helmet and speed that helped reducing the impact. If you had taken a corner with high speed, the impact would have been more. Thanking lord. Ride safe and take corners next time on safe but known roads.

okay, so I got my throttle assist yesterday. I couldn't stop myself from using it as it was something very new. First many thanks to Narayanan, otherwise I'd have never known about this. At first scared a bit as anything that prevents the throttle play is always risky. Now,

Pros:
1. Does it work?, Ooh, Yes it does work as the name suggests
2. Easy to fix it or remove it. Took ~10 secs to fix it, same to remove or change position
3. Does stick well and gives good feedback
4. Works as intended, able to apply the pressure from wrist to keep throttle in position

Cons:
1. Quality is okay-ish. I bought it for ~250 and okay. 400 and above seems too much
2. No logo or anything. Just a plain plastic which has some elastic character and retains it's position after stretching
3. Product availability is very less.

So, guys. It works just great as expected, but on one condition...!!

Yes, it is only as good as you take it on highways. Tried on city ride today while coming to my office. On half way, I had to remove it . It obstructs the hand a lot no matter which position you fix, extreme left or right or center. While riding in traffic, this is definitely not the one you would like to stick out of the throttle. Most of the traffic rides, I encountered a revved shift (that is keeping the throttle a bit up while applying clutch). This is most annoying thing

But tried on a highway about 6 km. According to my present fixed position, I was able to ride continuously at 70 kph with just the wrist held on that and my right fingers where flat over the throttle and brake lever. Now that is what one would love to have on highway

Final words, this thing will really help you on long rides and safer only. But on city rides, its a pain and might put you in trouble letting you to rev your engine hard.
