Re: Pulsar 200 NS
ok, but some people say stock are horrible that's why i am confused.Originally posted by Indrathirth View PostPirelli is a better choice. But hey the stock tyres are good enough. As I have treaded in rough and smooth roads on city n highway. the grip is good and quiet stable at high speed breaking too.
Pirelli might cost 4.5k per tyre...I am loving my NS

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
I am more than happy with Stock. It is made specially for Pulsar NS by eurogrip... size is 130/70. Not bad at all rite. I suggest you go with stock itself.
We have a group in facebook called naked wolves where there are like minded bikers talking about bikes mainly for 200 ns. You could check that out too. Most of em have stock tyres.
paying 1.02 lakhs and again spending more for tyres is a big no no.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Yesterday I went to buy a helmet but couldn't find one of my liking in surat. BTW I saw a white and a desert colored ninja 3g helmet. They had extrely good graphics. But I was not sure that whether they would match my black 200ns or not. Can you please suggest that which colour /model is the best match for a black ns. Brands available here are only studds, vega and steelbird. I thought of studds scorpion but couldn't found one here.
Need suggestions asap.

Horrible? Seriously? On the contrary they're really good as far as you dont meet road with lots of sand combination on it.
Agreed.Originally posted by Indrathirth View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
My chain is making a lot of noise off late, last week I got it cleaned and lubricated. It reduced the noise, but smoothness wasn't there. Now, its loud again.
I was examining the chain today. If I put my bike on first gear on center stand, the chain starts to jerk. If I check for slackness at different points, its not uniform anymore. Some parts are too tight and some loose.
I have completed 10k. Do I have to replace my chain? Can this be fixed?Last edited by itsnotv; 10-19-2013, 08:59 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
No it isn't horrible. NS comes with the hardest compound tyres in it's segment. It's decent and it appeals to the masses.Originally posted by Newrider88 View Postok, but some people say stock are horrible that's why i am confused.
It boils down to your riding style.
> If you do lots of commutes and bumper-to-bumper type traffic with very little touring now and then, keep the tyres stock. There's no point commuting slowly with sticky tyres. With proper use (I mean without unnecessary skidding, burnouts, etc) you can push the eurogrips to 20000 kms of running life. Mine lasted 16.5k kms with burnouts, tyre skids, etc.
> If you're the loud hooligan rider who loves to rev hard, brake hard and corner at even the slightest 'cycle-gaps' or take your bike to the twisties often, you need better grip so MRF revz-s, pirelli sport demon or bridgestone battlax (if you're lucky to find one) will do for the rear and MRF zapper Q (front tyre of yamaha FZ) or pirelli will be good for the front. Remember, you'll find drastic cornering ability improvement with replacement of the front tyre. Again, with proper use, they'll last around 10-15k kms max.
> If you do a lot of touring and occasionally would do some cornering, dunlop tuff grip 140/70-17 is perfect. Should last 15k kms.
Go for vega full faced ones, the ones with the sun-flap on top. Looks very cool indeed. White would suit your black bike IMO. My old white vega used to suit my blue NS beautifully.Originally posted by skv View PostCan you please suggest that which colour /model is the best match for a black ns.Last edited by Aditya N Bharadwaj; 10-19-2013, 07:42 PM.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Please suggest any solutions.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostI face the exact same thing! From my observations, I'm sure that it's from the front sprocket when the chain gets separated from the front sprocket. I didn't find anything weird on either the chain or the sprocket. The sprocket wasn't loosely fitted either. After a very thorough cleaning, the sound was gone but it kept coming back occasionally. If it's there in the morning, it's gone in the evening. I've simply let it be the way it is coz even the svcs couldn't find out the exact reason for it.
Aditya, did you get rid of this issue?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
ankur2smart, your chain is way too tight then. itsnotv when I changed my chain-sprocket set, I bought a new smaller front sprocket and that problem isn't there now. Everything's fine. But the 13T has some free play on the shaft from the gearbox. Is it gonna be fine in the long run?Originally posted by itsnotv View PostGuys, I have this exact issue. Please suggest any solutions.
