Matt black would gel well with the color of the mudguard or fender.Originally posted by krixna View Post

Got the chain set changed at GurgaonOriginally posted by jbm_guy View Post11K Km is too less for demanding a new chain. Improper clutch engaging, shifting, revving harder can result in chain wear in such a short time, but I guess you do it well here. Could be that you tour over a long distance?, don't know. But you can get the complete chain kit for <1300/- I believe. My svc said 1550/- for replacement cost and spare cost, but that's not for me and said about 25K Kms on average usage.
Chain set cost - 1,400.00
Coupling rubber - 171.99
(charges above incl 12.5% VAT and 5% surcharge on VAT)
Labor charges - 600.00
Is it really this expensive or is it just me ?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Agree but dont you think for 17 digit VINs, regardless of the manufacturer, the letter denoting the year would be at the same location ?Originally posted by kany1991 View PostVin decoder is different for each manufacture for example
Maruti have 19 digits vin
Hyundai have 17
Don't know about bikes [emoji40]

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Buying used product from Bajaj isn't recommended unless the owner really has maintained well... Some tipsOriginally posted by ackinbiker View Posthey, i own a FZ16, but my brother wants to buy a pulsar ns200, can you tell me what are the things to look when buying a used ns 200, means which things should be look after in bike, i heard the quality make of ns is not that good, so whats the things which i see first when buying used ns 200? please kindly help me
1. Tire quality, threads
2. Bike swaying left
3. Hiccup at certain rpm range
4. Smoother gear shifts
5. Any leakage (oil, coolant)
6. Rpm needle shaking
7. Irregular idling
8. Brake feedback
9. Any sounds from engine, suspension, etc
I can say even more, but you can't expect everything to be perfect even on a new bike...
But you get no warranty...!!!

No doubt there is a marked improvement in the pickup but again the top speed has gotten limited to about 105 at about 7.2 K rpm.. Its not revving beyond that. Not sure if its being limited due to the DTSI oil that I am running since I did not have Motuk with me that day. I will be going to get the diapharm changed soon.
Bro i have two favors to ask -
1. Could u plz post the 4 digit code of your tire. Essentially something like 0115 would mean your tire was mfd in jan 2015.
2. Also could you please match up your VIN against the vin decoder tool provided by krixna i think a few posts ago and see if it matches the mfg date on your RC. I AM ALMOST SURE that i have a legal tussle ahead with the dealer. As far as I have read the tire mfg date should not be very far from the bike mfg date.
Appreciate it bro. In fact its a request to all NSians out here if they could kindly check it.
Hey bro its a known fact that the build quality of a bajaj cannot match up to a jap bike. But you could follow the general PDI checklist to a large extent like checking for dents, scratches, bent radiator fins, oil leakages, front and rear discs - smoothness, excessive vibes mostly at the handlebars and foot pegs since thats where the vibes are most pronounced, not to forget the condition of the chain sprocket since that gives a pretty good indication of the maintenance / riding habits. If the owner lets you, you could check the spark plugs for an indication of has the engine been running lean or rich or well tuned. Last but not the least, you also would like to have a look at the service record of the bike. Oh yes, check the tires for any uneven wear and tear since that could indicate bent forks.Originally posted by ackinbiker View Posthey, i own a FZ16, but my brother wants to buy a pulsar ns200, can you tell me what are the things to look when buying a used ns 200, means which things should be look after in bike, i heard the quality make of ns is not that good, so whats the things which i see first when buying used ns 200? please kindly help me
Thats all I could think of at this hour. Would request other more informed members to please add as they deem fit.
