Guys need a lil bit of help.
Both of my front shocks are leaking.
Bajaj quoted 700₹ for single repair.
And local mechanic quoted 400-800₹ for both with oil .
    1. Should i get them replaced or repaired..?
2.Does anyone knows approx price of both new front shocks.
    3. Is repairing rate ok ? And work done is good or will you suggest a good mech (delhi)?
    4. What are the parts needed in repairing and thier approx cost.
My monthly drive is 100-200kms only.
Get it done from a good local mech bro. The ASS guys unnecessarily charge higher rates for dubious quality work.

      Oil for shocks : 350+350ml : 180X2 = 360rs
      Seals LH RH : 120 X2 = 240
      Labour : 100-150 Rs

      GT : 360+240+150 = 750Rs

Bajaj actually seems cheaper . Make sure quantity of oil being poured is absolutely correct

[MENTION=57344]RohIIT[/MENTION] no bushes required ? And these seals , can they be found in local mech shops or are they just like not available ns parts ?

Since its a Bajaj , parts compatibility poses a risk, You never know what was the difference between AS and NS parts even though they look similar ( tolerance and Fit ). Slight difference and money down the drain. As i remember there is no bush in front shock.
Also you can visit DIY thread there paul.1911 has writted a descriptive method for shock overhaul.
Spare availability is dependent on city to city . so cant comment on that.

Got my bike back today after 3 long days from ASS these people are a bunch of A-holes. When I went to collect my bike the service manager told me that there is problem in the carb, I will have to replace the carb. I asked him that what is the problem? He replied "I don't know but there is some problem. We cleaned the carb two times opened everything and checked the whole carb". I was like now what? He told me that we don't have a carb available now, you take it to some other ASS and ask them to replace the carb. I was feeling like killing him . I did not wanted to wait there for a second now. So cranked the bike and it was idling at very low rpm at about 1k so I let idle for sometime. As soon as I started rolling I could feel the smooth acceleration, the free play of throttle has almost vanished. And the hiccups at 5k also vanished. I was like was he joking? Because the hiccups problem has solved. But the inconsistent noise problem is still there so I am damn sure that its from chain. So I am thinking to replace the chain sprocket.

Any special need of mounting points?
Or is it plug n play?

Finally found the problem of my spark issue.. I had got a faulty plug ie it's creamic insulation was cracked and hence leakage..
Strangely i went to auto service to show that they have given me faulty plug.. They were so damn adament that it's not possible.. Their 1st question was how did you open the bike and got the plug out..
I had to literally prove that i know how to dismantle the tank and get plug out.. After this shocking answer they give is why do you need to come to our place if you can do it yourself.. Like wtf?!?!
Still had to pay bloody 200 bucks for new plug..
All though they said they'll talk to manager and get back till sat :/
Just to get 200rs back from these retards i have to now go all the back till svc :/

Glad your issue got sorted. Btw bro.. Regarding the AS windshield he mentioned in a post that he has fixed it on top of the original NS windshield (whatever there is in thr name of a windshield.. Hehe). Guess he made holes and used bolts to hold it in place.

Regarding the ASS guys .. The less said the better. Its better that you do not run behind your 200 bucks since they would never agree that they gave you faulty equipment. You'd, unfortunately, end up spending more trying to get back your 200 bucks.

Although you could try writing in to Bajaj.... I dunno... Just a thought bro

Same thing happened with me... My local guy took apart the carb top diapharm area and set it back. The accel was bang on post that.

Mind my asking, what kinda noise you getting from the chain ?

One shock takes how much oil ? 175ml or 350 ml ?
Because mechanic filled 170ml in each side.

I am not sure but it should be less than 200 ml per fork. Maybe 170.
then you can use one bottle of 350 and fill both equally

Frankly speaking I've never done co tuning on my both Bikes [emoji40]
For AFR tuning i use old school method RPM needle 1.6 is my ideal milage(36-40)+performance(90-120 kmph) [emoji16][emoji16]
