You can calculate the error value here Buy Tyres Online | Tyre Price in India

    They have tyre upsize calculator.
By using 140/70 rear tyre, u r over gearing the bike. That means for given rpm the speed increases , e.g. @4k rpm in 6th gear stock setup has speed ,say,58 kmph . For the same rpm with 140/70 tyre ,speed will be 60kmph or more. Which means bike travels more distance @ same rpm , giving more fuel efficiency.

Frictional losses r same or more but the overgearing compensate it.

I have used the 140 tyre on my earlier p220 which used to give at least 1kmpl more fe than earlier .

8amps/hr.....not 9. Yes, he is correct. Loading the battery fully will reduce its life time...80% loading is idle.plus, you make more chances of battery draining. Peak discharge is okay, but when idling you may want to turn off lights as the loading current from battery needs toto be backed up from alternator

Its an 8 amp hour battery , so it can give 8 amps for one hour even without charging.
So about 90w at idle should be fine.
My lighting at full blast takes around 80w, so this should be fine.

Your bike needs more power than just headlamp, not to mention as you know. Many have reported that 90w bulbs at idle fluctuates because your battery dc current is insufficient without alternator. It is advisable to turn off headlamp at idle to be on safer side

Lol using all that light at idle is pretty useless,
Just wanted to confirm that 100w setup is feasible when the bike is in moving condition.
I came up with this setup because i travel on highways in night. And Afaik at 5000rpm the alternator on our bike produces around 200w.
So i feel i am well under the limit (when riding).

Yeah but don't idle for long. Battery charges at idle with small lights on, but doesn't charge below 2000rpm above 60W load. Better to switch off headlights while waiting in long traffic signals

You are right. I have done some detailed testing after plugging in the 100/90W headlight bulb. Can't confirm the 200W part, but at 3000rpm, after all the lighting load, battery is charging well. Check my video:

Checking battery charging with the 100W bulb ON. Note that chrging is OK at 3000rpm, but goes down if rpm comes down to 1500.

Is it possible to under gear the bike with p220 sproket, any drawback?

Hey guys, has anyone looked into a TPS adjustment on their machines ? Asking since I am facing the following two issues -

                        1. Uneven idle despite the RPM being set at the 1200 cold / 1400 hot and the CO being set to 1.8
                        2. Post the dull 0 - 4000 rpm the bike faces a devilish uprising and it seems like the brakes also cannot persuade it to stop ... :P

With the CO set, chain slack checked, clutch settings done, diaphragm checked, accel cable tightened this is the only thing I could come up with. Well it could be the pilot jet acting up also but I dont want to have the carb fiddled with again unless the TPS adjustment seems useless.

If yes, please can you guide me as to what should the readings on the multimeter on idle with engine off and on ? Also, my bike has about 16.5K on the odo so it is still within warranty so, if the need be, I can get it replaced in warranty if it is covered.

I'm using P220 sprocket for more than a year now. Drawback is, you'll lose the initial jump. It will feel sort of starting to move in 2nd gear

Remove the throttle slider, remove the needle, put an extra tiny washer *under* the spacer. Washer should be around 0.5 mm thick. Problem solved.

Add washer under the violet spacer you see in 9

So i can use the whole sprocket set of p220 i.e. front sprocket rear sprocket & chain . Anything else needed ?
