Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yes you might be right.take my advice and change to dtsi oil tomorrow and then ride it for 10000 kms to see how it behaves.if the vibes go off then the motul was faulty or not suiting you.if it doesn't go off then complain to svc.Originally posted by lnagr View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Guys, Remember.....firstly Motul doesn't bring wonders and sorry if you have expected. In my case too it didn't give butter smooth as expected from motul 5100. Might be, my engine was already smoother enough so motul can't really help. Motul gives you more safety than bajaj.
Initial few hundred kms it sounded a bit harsh. Later it seemed okay.... But couldn't find any better improvement in smoothening but i hope it protects my engine well. Kept getting frequent fan triggering initially. Now no..
Now ah, the vibration or some ticking sound from engine...... Next day after upgrade to motul, i heard that for the first time. It started coming out from engine in idle. Didnt think of reving in idle. But after some kms it disappeared....
Also note, change of oil depends on Ride habits. If you thrash/rip your bike all day, consider changing oil (Motul) in 1500-2000 Kms. Otherwise you can extend up to 3000kms(very sane ride). As for bajaj oil, it is mediocre and will be good for 1000-1500kms if you rip. 5000kms interval is a crap and a fake adv(why?), because can you drive all day<50kph???
Also note, while changing for first attempy many will not bother to clean the engine. But this is necessary as you are changing from one oil to another type. Will i too didn't.... Also the oil filter.... So when you change for the second time, the engine will be better than the previous and so on...
Again don't jump to 7100 as it is already known to give harsh riding quality for better acceleration...Last edited by jbm_guy; 10-04-2015, 08:29 AM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Motul is good upto 2500 as default with mixed riding habits. If you rip a lot, consider the drain interval even less. Not all vehicles go easy with motul(i mean all 200ns )Originally posted by lnagr View Postyes it has gotten worse in recent days after change to Motul. Bike used to cruise at 90 earlier without much vibes.
engine oil has done 1k kms , 5100 turned to complete black in 3k kms, so i changed it again at 8k kms.
Motul is semi-synt , i thought it will do atleast 5k. 3k was Drain interval of 3100 in my P150.
Btw 3000kms is too much for motul, unless you have ridden very sanely under 60kph all these days, which wont happen [emoji3] . 5000kms drain interval, we dont have any oil to help to that extend...should u find, let me know too [emoji6] .. Also dont jump to Bajaj immediately. Change to same motul one more time. Change oil filter. If possible, clean the engine with some solution ( svs guys do that) and replace oik filter.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
But surprisingly, i did change from 500kms to 4600 kms which is about 4000kms on bajaj oil itself. But mostly I rode the bike very sanely say less than 6-5k rpm. So ultimately based on riding habits the need for oil change occurs.

Bajaj oil is not that bad im using it since day 1on my P180 and NS i haven't face any problem and my drain interval is 3 to 4k maxOriginally posted by jbm_guy View PostBut surprisingly, i did change from 500kms to 4600 kms which is about 4000kms on bajaj oil itself. i have used Motul 3000 in P150 and it did wonders to the bike, i had to ride 50km extra just to make sure the engine was really responding so goodOriginally posted by jbm_guy View PostGuys, Remember.....firstly Motul doesn't bring wonders and sorry if you have expected. so my assumpion was 5100 will be much better engine oil as it is semi-synth.
2k oil change interval!!! are you sure about that? i remember i used to change my Motul Mineral oil after 2k kms.200NS 25K kms / RE500 7k kms / Electra 30k kms / P150 80K Kms(SOLD) / i10 40k Kms (SOLD) / Tata NEXON 2K Kms

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It's been working brilliantly for me. Don't know about Bajaj oil. Have avoided it since first serviceOriginally posted by xplod566 View PostI have seen a lot of people who experience vibes and etc after pitting 5100.just want to know doesn't NS gel well with it or is it better with Bajaj oil.I am asking this because i have completed 5000kms and thinking of shifting to motul 5100---

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Maybe. With 200ns, your riding habits might have changed. I mean high speed riding and your regular drain interval of 5000kms seems to much for a bike like this. Generally if you experienceOriginally posted by lnagr View Posti have used Motul 3000 in P150 and it did wonders to the bike, i had to ride 50km extra just to make sure the engine was really responding so good

2k oil change interval!!! are you sure about that? i remember i used to change my Motul Mineral oil after 2k kms.
1. Roughness in engine
2. Low oil levels
3. Gear shift problems
4. More than 4-5 months since oil change
You can easily feel it.
Sane riding or highway cruising gives more life, city rides or traffic rides gives less oil life.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Anyway my advice remains de same bro, just do some engine cleaning and replace with motul 5100. Give it a try as anyway you have got a lot of stock [emoji6]Originally posted by lnagr View Posti have used Motul 3000 in P150 and it did wonders to the bike, i had to ride 50km extra just to make sure the engine was really responding so good
