I used this one. Was really good.
Then I upgraded to Philips 100/90W' Which is excellent.
Don't plan for a 100W upgrade unless you have somebody who really knows electricals.

I disconnected it (to check whether your problem is related) and I got the same problem you got, but for a wider rpm range.
Now what do you figure out from this?

http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthr.../topics/511890 came across this post and disconnected the side stand indicator cable...surprisingly it seems the problem is fixed BUT will reserve my final statement until am dead sure

If reconnect the cable and ride the missing is not there...is it possible that connect/disconnect has taken care of something by itself...electricals can be like that??

Other thing it does is when disconnected it shows fuel as NIL and reconnecting shows it a normal

This is the cable that I'm talking about...

Never argue with a fool, for he will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

OK I tried out what you said. 'SIDE STAND' warning disappears from the display. No effect on fuel gauge or anything else :P

              Thank you for trying it...

Does this even remotely mean an electrical fault resulting in bad ignition hence reducing the amount of power/spark required at that rpm range...

Battery along with electricals not providing enough juice or delivering with a spike / surge?

I've a DMM (wouldnt consider myself even half decent with it) still, need to read up on how to check if battery is doing something also how to check a faulty TPS

Somebody has given earlier a link to download the service manual (pdf). There are detailed explanations on how to check battery, charging, TPS etc with a multimeter. In fact you can follow the manual and check almost every electrical fitting

                    @ All

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy the complete front fork set (both fork steel tubes, both lower legs, all inner springs and nuts, the T clamp, all the oil and dust seals, etc)
What will be the cost for genuine new stock from the company/showroom???
Kindly give me the estimate of the cost.
                    Thanks in advance.
Ride it like you stole it! But buy your own helmet.

                        Did that ..
Also got chain set changed to d200 set ..
Front sprocket direct fit ... Rear sprocket not a direct fit ..
Youll have to drill holes ..
And duke and rc dont have link lock chains so you'll have to remove swingarm and install chain ! Headache it was to remove the swingarm and install chain ..
Anyways accl has improved a bit ..
Doesnt stall easily in lower gears .. Pick ups immediately at any gears ... No comments on top speed though .. And rides back to being silent ..
Have to be little careful of throttle as front end gets up when carless with the throttle ..

I lubed my chain yesterday after a good 600kms.. And the result was spontaneous.. Got 85@6k RPM v/s 82-83 earlier... Is that an illusion or that really happens?

Btw a Gixxer passed by me today very RUDELY.. I was crusing at around 70... Immediately after a few secs, dhool chata di usse... [emoji6]
