I have oil leakage in rear shock of NS and bound to change it with new one. Is it possible to fit DUKE 200 rear shock in our NS?

@seize.s - What was the reading on your odo when you got it done approximately. Mine's at 11570

      Guys,

I am planning to do a small modification on my NS however not very sure as to how it would turn out. I want to get ride of this headlight and have it replaced with either an aftermarket round headlamp or a 4inch twin headlamp. I have not yet decided if I wanna go in for 4inches or 5 since I am yet to take the measurements of the forks where the clamps would go.

Have any of you guys ever tried out something like this on the NS or have seen any NS which has been done up with this mod. Looked all over the internet and could not find any. My guess is it would look something remotely like the Triumph bike which Tom rode in MI2.

Wanted your suggestions as to how do you envisage this to look.
Gaurav sir I read your travelogue,5000 kms in one trip its crazy and requires a real potential and enthusiasm, few days ago I upgraded to Motul 7100 can u please tell that how many kilometers it requires approximately to heat up the engine oil properly? Because its harsh even after riding around 8-10 kms.

Thanks for the respect mate however I still prefer it to be just Gaurav. Brother to brother ... eh ... Agree that one needs determination to do so but its not uncommon among enthusiasts like all ov us here to attempt something like this. In my opinion the Saddlesore is even crazier than what I have done. Sincerest respect to those who attempt it regardless of whether they successfully complete it or not.

The 7100 is always going to feel a little more harsh than other engine oils however by my experience you will start feeling the affects of the oil working only post about 50 kms of continuous riding. Signs to watch out for - The gear shifts become slicker, the slot in perfectly, the engine starts whirring like a charm and fewer radiator fan churns. I would suggest use of the 7100 only you regularly have highway runs else the 5100 would do perfectly. I have heard the 5100 is way smoother than the 7100. I am planning to shift to 5100 since my running is about 50 kms daily with about 30 on the highway and the rest in start stop bumper to bumper traffic.

Still working on the aesthetics Danny. I am yet to finalize if I wanna go in for 1 headlight or twins. Actually to be honest I am having issues deciding what size to go in for.

Question - Does anyone know the distance between the two headlamp mounts on the NS. May help me decide .. actually am too lazy to open up the headlight just for measurement. :P :P :P

Took My almost after a week and it was raining almost all the day...

When I pressed the Ignition, the Engine didn't started . The starter motor was working fine, since I was able to hear the cylinder moving sound...

After some 10 tries, I got worried as what if the battery drains

Then, Finally after some 20 tries it started..... Is this will be the case in all bikes....???

                    Thanks Bro. Will try it.

And I hope too that Chennai would get back on track soon. Saw in the news that this is a once-in-a-hundred-years down pour.

Mine too used to vibrate at the same rpm band. I replaced it at around 4K odo. Still it is in warranty, get it replaced

I had this odd pipe stick out on the right side of the tank ever since the last service. Some one mentioned that its the coolant overflow pipe. And recently, some of the coolant did overflowed through it. Luckily, it did not burn my feet. Can any of you tell me where its actual positioning is?Click image for larger version

Thanks bro. Looks likes the tube in the image is much longer than in mine, so that coolant overflow is safely going to the ground.
