Overall he did a very good job. But never in my life did I expect to part with 6.5k. So, since I paid this much, I want my bike to be in perfect condition.

    Shouldn't the indicators be amber?

This is for all the proud NSians:

Have you named your NSs? If yes, what are the names.

I have named my NS: Centaurus
Were you in the first and second gear for most of time??

My ns feel very hot even for 10 15kms. I mostly ride in traffic with pillion rider (bangalore). Is it normal? Mostly riding in 1st and 2nd gear. I'm using motul 7100. Please help?

Nope. It was in 5th and 6th gears most of the time. As majority of the distance was on the NH47 bypass road.
The logic is that when the bike is moving forward, air passes through the radiator and engine; hence, cooling happens. Ideally, in such situations, the cooling should not kick in.

          Guys ... just curious ...

Has anyone thought of a twin headlamp, like the Street Triple, for an NS with a thunderbird like console... or something similar which incorporates a analog plus digital display. Any one good in photoshop please help....

Was thinking that the NS has the bulkiness to kinda show off that twin headlamp look.. just wondering

With first and second gear ride for 10+ minutes is sure to kick the fan, no doubt. Plus 7100 oil, i hope this is nothing to worry. The fan kicks in on following cases
            1. Idling for long time
            2. Riding in first two gears for more than 10 mins
            3. Hitting rev max frequently
            4. Riding at high revs( i find it when ridden continuously beyond 115kph)
            5. Oil that is not suitable for your engine
            6. Malfunction

I have experienced these all above except malfunction. Riding at 5/6 gear at high rpm will also lead to frequent fan kicking in..

This is quite common among all NS models. I have seen several members here including me having the needle vibes. Mine is Oct 2012 model. I chose not to do anything. Some of the members have had the meter cluster changed.
I think I have seen a post somewhere here that shows a fix. Tried to find the post but couldn't find it.

Now just waiting for the 100/90W bulb to arrive.
After adding the relay, the high beam and low beam switching has become faster.

PS: The location of the relay was changed afterwards, as it was creating a problem in fitment of fuel tank.
Waiting for some pics and overall experience.

No need to worry abt it. If u want to change that than u can do it ursrlf or u can change by any road side machanic. Just buy a genuine filter put ur bike in side stand open filter cap take out the filter put the new one just add 50 ml of the same engine oil which u r using... Ta da.. Done..

From your response, I am guessing that the oil filter was changed during your last service. Considering your odo reading, I don't think keeping the same oil filter will do any harm. You can change it in the next service.
